Shalini David is the President and CEO of Christalis, a non-profit organization she founded to meet the needs of children in Uganda. While there on a mission trip, Shalini was so moved by the stories of the children that she came back to the US and mobilized to launch Christalis. Ruth Lomo came to the United States as a refugee in 2001 with 11 children. By 2012 She had founded a program to assist children of refugee families with their homework. This program has grown into a full service after-school, pre-school, parenting classes and language classes program in the heart of Memphis.
