After nearly a year-long maternity break, career & job search coach Simi Awokoya knew she needed a strategic way to relaunch her coaching business upon her return. The solution she tested? A self-published book priced at £26.99 ($34 USD), designed as both a revenue stream and a lead-generation tool for her premium coaching program. With no paid ads and just organic marketing, Simi leveraged her 17,000 LinkedIn followers and 700 warm email subscribers to sell 150 copies in 30 days, generating £4,048 (~$5,200 USD) in revenue. The book didn't just sell—it worked as a high-converting funnel, tripling inbound coaching inquiries and landing her podcast invitations that expanded her visibility. Try Riverside free now: https://creators.riverside.fm/PodcastersPodcast & Use code: Podcast15 for an exclusive 15% off. Ash and Kane discuss the steps you can take to revive your podcast. They start by asking you to evaluate your why and consider its strength. They then discuss how you can use guests and utilise simple things like titles to revive your podcast and get it performing again. They also share why relaunching is essential to reviving a podcast and how to do this successfully. KEY TAKEAWAYS What is your why? Do you still want to do the podcast and are you doing it for the right reasons? Evaluate your production, are your titles and thumbnails good and what are the first 30 seconds like? Click through rate and attention should be your focus. How many people are clicking on your content and how long are they staying? Your first 30 seconds are for people who don’t know you yet, as are titles and thumbnails. These are to grab attention and make people want to listen. SEO is very important for the audio side of your podcast, think about your show notes and titles and if these can be improved. If you are an audio only podcast then outside promotion is essential, like being interviewed on other podcasts. Anyone who is struggling should do a relaunch! Go back to basics, make your content better through research and tools to see what questions your audience wants answered in your niche. BEST MOMENTS “Go back to your why, make sure that it’s strong” “Click through and retention, that’s all you should care about” “Everything you do should be for someone who doesn’t know you yet, doesn’t like you yet, doesn’t have much of an attention span” “There is a lot of outside promotion when it comes to audio” “Put effort into campaigns and launches, don’t just go through the motions” VALUABLE RESOURCES Website EPISODES TO CHECK OUT NEXT How to Launch a Number 1 Podcast Part 1 & 2: https://omny.fm/shows/the-podcaster-s-podcast/how-to-launch-a-number-1-podcast-part-1 https://omny.fm/shows/the-podcaster-s-podcast/046-how-to-launch-a-number-1-podcast-part-2 ABOUT THE HOSTS Ashley Morris (Podcast Consultant) and Kane Baron (Public Speaker) help independent podcasters launch, grow and monetise a podcast. As first-time founders, Nat and her business partners have learned so much along the way since the app's initial launch, and so with honesty and transparency, Nat gives us the details on what made her and her team decide a relaunch was necessary. Nat goes through all the business reasons why they made this decision, from the previous version targeting the wrong audience to trying to be too original of an interface, which led to a user experience that wasn't working for either the Rella team or its customers. But with these learnings comes the opportunity to start again—a fresh page, a blank slate—and Rella 2.0 is going to be better than ever! NEW SEASON UPDATE: RELAUNCHING WITH GRACE with Nicole R. Richardson

The Mompreneur Exclusive

Play Episode Listen Later Jun 27, 2024 14:51

Welcome back to the now:  The Nicole Richardson Podcast! In case you haven't heard, we've had a bit of a rebrand going on with the podcast. What started as The Mompreneur Exclusive Podcast has now blossomed into The Nicole Richardson Podcast. While the name has changed, our mission remains the same: to empower and inspire women entrepreneurs around the globe. When I first started this podcast, my goal was to share the stories of other women who are traveling through this journey called entrepreneurship as moms and debunk the myths of “overnight success” to really shed light on what success really looks like, especially as a mom. A lot of times we tend to think entrepreneurship isn't for us because it doesn't look a certain way or it hasn't happened as quickly as we thought it should because we're comparing our journey to someone else's instead of embracing our journey and staying the course even when it gets hard. Because spoiler alert: it's going to get hard! Life is going to life. There will be ups and downs and highs and lows. But we have to remember to maintain in those moments - stick through it and keep moving forward, because that is what's needed in order to grow. Over the last year, I've grown, evolved, and learned so much from the guests that have shared their stories on the podcast and you guys that tune in, because let me tell you, when I started this podcast, it was more along the lines of, "let's create it and just see what happens." And I've really been enjoying the journey and now we're at the point where we just need to be consistent and that's the goal here moving forward. Also, huge shout out to my VA Rocio who's also a mom. She's been rocking out helping me deliver the podcast, staying the course with me, and being more than a VA - and moreso my accountability with helping to get the wheels rolling and keeping the needle moving. The analytics of the podcast is letting me know that you guys are really enjoying the content and the guests that we've had and we're just going to kick this thing into over drive with more valuable content and resources to help launch and grow your business because that's what I'm all about! So this rebrand is about expanding the topics here to bring forth new guests to share their journey, insights, and expertise to help motivate and inspire upcoming entrepreneurs and also include actionable steps on launching, because motivation is great, but without implementation we end up staying in the same spot and circling around without consistent movement in our business. So we want to make sure that every episode leaves you with something valuable and actionable. Sneak Peak of What's New This Season: This season, we're turning up the heat with more incredible interviews, actionable insights, and, of course, lots of fun along the way. Here's a sneak peek of what you can expect in this new season coming up: Mindset Mastery: We'll be diving into the mental game of entrepreneurship. Learn from experts on how to cultivate a mindset that not only survives but thrives, in the face of challenges. Tech and Tools: Stay ahead of the curve with the latest tech and tools that can help streamline your business operations and boost productivity. Marketing Magic: Get ready to unlock the secrets of successful marketing campaigns. From social media strategies to email marketing tactics, we've got you covered. Work-Life Harmony: Let's face it, balance is a myth, but harmony is achievable. We'll explore how successful women entrepreneurs manage their time, set boundaries, and find harmony between their personal and professional lives. So, I'm really looking forward to this relaunch, being more consistent and the powerful content that is to come. Speaking of more to come, if you're a coach, consultant, or creator and I know that you are, or else you wouldn't be tuning in, and you're looking to elevate your brand online, build your email list, and really maximize your marketing efforts for your bus...
