    Ivy Insights

The Blizzard Watch podcast is a must-listen for any fan of Blizzard games, especially World of Warcraft. Hosted by Joe, Liz, and Matt, this podcast provides informative and entertaining discussions about the latest news and updates in the world of Blizzard. Whether you're driving a garbage truck or delivering mail, this show will keep you entertained throughout your workday.

One of the best aspects of The Blizzard Watch podcast is the chemistry between the hosts. Joe, Liz, and Matt have a great dynamic that makes each episode enjoyable to listen to. They are knowledgeable about the games they discuss and present the information in an engaging way. Their opinions and perspectives on various topics have depth and insight, making for interesting conversations.

Another great aspect of this podcast is its inclusivity. Unlike other podcasts that may be biased towards one faction or playstyle, The Blizzard Watch hosts play and level on both sides, offering thoughtful insights for both factions. This balanced approach allows for a more comprehensive understanding of the game's conflicts and dynamics.

However, one potential downside of The Blizzard Watch podcast is that it can feel rushed at times due to time constraints. With so many games to cover and limited time in each episode, it can sometimes feel like certain topics are not given enough attention. However, this limitation does force the hosts to stay focused on important discussions rather than meandering into unrelated topics.

In conclusion, The Blizzard Watch podcast is an excellent source of casual WoW news and lore without heavy formatting or timing restrictions. The hosts' enthusiasm and knowledge shine through each episode, creating a friendly atmosphere that feels like sitting down with friends. While there may be some limitations in terms of time allocation for certain topics, the consistency in bringing quality content week after week makes up for it. If you're a fan of Blizzard games or interested in diving deeper into their lore, this podcast is definitely worth a listen.

During this week's Blizzard Watch Podcast, the conversation started off with WoW, specifically the upcoming Mists of Pandaria Classic, and just how many Classics there are now. Cory was our guest host, so of course they had to talk Heroes of the Storm for a little while. It's like a rule of the internet, like how you are legally obligated to repost that one video of Tom Holland doing Umbrella if you see it in the wild. Plus, there's all the upcoming stuff for the next Diablo 4season Sins of the Horadrim, like Horadric Spellcasting and Escalating Nightmares, both of which just sound like something Diablo 4 would bring to the table. If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. This week's Blizzard Watch Podcast kicks off with the new hotness -- or maybe old hotness. Horrific Visions return this week in World of Warcraft. There are head enchants to collect, but no keys, which is great news for people who did these back in the day. The new player housing preview from a smattering of other content creators with an emphasis on neighborhoods has us revisiting the possibility of a player housing HOA. The Infinite Pirate Dragon is, of course, the top story this week on the Blizzard Watch Podcast. It comes in patch 11.1.7 as a part of Turbulent Timeways, and while we're unsure that it has anything to do with the Arathi narratively, that's what headcanon is for. Our resident Diablo expert Liz Patt joined our regular hosts Matt, Liz, and Joe to explain the mess that is the Diablo 3 seasonal rotation, and also the mess that is Diablo 4's new season and its many, many currencies. We'll wade through rivers of blood and seas of snakes, but we'll be damned if we cave to your attempt to get us to do algebra. If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Our hosts Liz and Joe were joined by our writer Eric O'Dea to discuss all the wacky hijinks they got into this year, as they drag an orphan into havoc and harm. That's right, it's Childrens' Week in World of Warcraft! And of course the reason we'd willingly interact with children is the fact that there's transmog on the line. Transmog is also on the line in the new Trading Post for May. We got a new preview of decor for our Player Housing, which, when you think about it, is really just transmog for a house. Plus, we have a new Diablo 4 season, and a new mini-set coming up for Hearthstone, and... could those also be transmog, if you think about it? Probably not, but you can't blame us for trying. Cory Taylor joins our usual hosts for this week's cotillion of a podcast, and the first thing on the agenda is to remind people to get their Noblegarden ducky costume! Transmog and costuming is very important to us. But, then we get into the usual topic du jour when Cory joins the crew: how Heroes of the Storm is primed for a comeback. Cory, as usual, makes a very compelling argument that Blizzard's MOBA is just sleeping on a farm upstate and is definitely making a triumphant return anytime now, for real. Plus, Overwatch 2 Stadium released and the motion sick among us are cautiously optimistic that they won't hurl. It uses a similar perspective to a zoomed out version of Elder Scrolls Oblivion, and we're just going to take a big swig of water before we read the next bullet point here...Also, Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3. Patch 11.1.5 for World of Warcraft was just announced as coming out April 22, so that leads the podcast this week — even if it may seem fast to some of our hosts. Our writer Nick Marino joined us this week because he's our go-to staffer for WoW Classic news, and Season of Discovery phase 8 kicked off today with a whole lot of brand new content. Seems a little weird, but as long as it's fun. Plus, despite it being April, the Diablo 4 team just put out a roadmap for 2025 which includes a ton of new content for the coming year, and a few sections just labelled “IP collabs.” Our hosts speculate that this may mean Master Chief makes an appearance, but after what we're seeing from Fortnite, I'm hoping to get a Chappell Roan skin for my Sorceress.Oh right, the Nintendo Switch 2 release date announcement happened too.If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. All the co-hosts are now on the record as emphatically pro jazz, and also pro Race to World First, which officially kicked off as the season did. Diablo events and why they're too short (maybe to even bother with them at all) were a hot topic this week, with the week-long Gilded Goblins event going on now, but blink and you've probably already missed it.Also, some of us are really pumped for the Visual Novel Fest on Steam this week. Guest host Phil Ulrich named off some of his favorites, which led Liz down a rabbit hole. Overwatch 2 was the game we were most excited to start discussing this week. The development team released a big showcase just ahead of season 15's release, which also contained a lot of content teasers like upcoming hero Freja for season 16 and beyond. Loot boxes? 6v6 in competitive? What year is this, 2019? Not to be left out, the Hearthstone team also released a ton of info for their next expansion, Journey into the Emerald Dream. It involves splitting the classes into a side for the Dream and a side for the corrupted Emerald Nightmare, and Matt had a little quibble about including Warriors with the likes of Warlocks and Death Knights.Plus, a little bird (Jason Schreier) told us there won't be a new Diablo 4 expansion til 2026, so we discussed how we feel about that (and weirdly... not bad?). Matt, Joe, and Liz were joined by Cory this week, and all four were more than ready to chat about Player Housing in WoW, which we recently got to see for the first time. There are still a lot of question marks after this first overview, but the team is excited about the information we do have, from Neighborhoods to decor (like a tower of bones, for instance!) to lack of repo men poised to take your house away if you default on your wizard mortgage. However, before anyone joins our Neighborhoods, there may be some rules to discuss (like no towers of bones, for instance!).But, in the more immediate future is patch 11.1, which is coming out February 25. The car sounds incredibly cool, but of more importance is Brann Bronzebeard's continued Delving and his dedication to fancy hats. After all, transmog is endgame, even for NPCs. There's also the potential of a Diablo roadmap, and Warcraft Rumble and Diablo Immortal both have what seem like their own neat holidays going on... for as much as we play them. The crew got so carried away there wasn't even enough time for questions, but we do appreciate you asking them. We'll save them for next week. Hosted on Acast. They turned to Diablo's seasonal scheduling, and how it may or may not be under the influence.
