Caleb Swartz started racing cyclocross when he was eight years old, but the discipline has been dwindling in the US since the 2010s, and the writing has been on the wall for any American racers wanting to make a sustainable career from it. Last year, Caleb started branching out into a few gravel events just to see where it would take him, and he ended up with two standout performances at Grand Prix races — 11th at Little Sugar and 6th at Big Sugar. This year, he's going all-in as one of the new faces on the GP roster. Payson sat down with Caleb after a surprise encounter in Girona to talk about how he's navigating training for a season unlike any he's ever done, how his years of hardscrabble work behind the scenes as a privateer have set him up for this moment, and the tough industry realities that have led him to transition away from cyclocross. They also talk about his collegiate racing days at Marian, graduating during the pandemic, and the high-speed crash he had at Big Sugar that didn't stop him from nearly making the podium. This episode was brought to you by Osprey and TrainingPeaks. In 1920, a young man on a fishing trip in the Canadian wilderness stumbled upon an injured stranger trapped in a rocky crevice — and the "plane" parked nearby was no plane at all. What followed was a lifelong friendship that revealed humanity's ancient past and an alien perspective on where we're headed as a species.IN THIS EPISODE: We all love cute pet photos – so often those photos almost make our furry friends look human – even smiling in some cases. But one particular type photo being shared via email – a photo of a smiling dog – would never be described as cute, as it drives some people literally insane. Is it real, or just another cyber-located urban legend? (Smile.Dog) *** Being kidnapped by gypsies is a somewhat negative stereotype towards those who truly live the lifestyle. They don't typically go out of their way to snatch people away… but in one particular circumstance it truly did happen – and it created an incredibly strange tale. (Kidnapped By Gypsies) *** Albert Coe's story sounds more like a Stephen Spielberg film as opposed to a true story. But Coe insists it really did happen – that he saved the life of an extraterrestrial – and it resulted in them becoming lifelong friends. To participate, please go to 340bpodcast.org/survey.With monumental movement on 340B rebates, changes in Medicare and Medicaid payments, and evolving audit priorities, 2025 has been a transformative year in the world of 340B. We sit down with 340B Health Senior Manager of Policy and Compliance Rebecca Swartz to chronicle some of the biggest developments of such an eventful year and forecast what to expect in 2026.Rebates Take ShapeSwartz says 2025 will go down as the year that a rebate model shifted from a hypothetical approach pushed by drugmakers into a fully developed model with implementation criteria. The Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) approved plans for 340B rebate models set to take effect in January for nine of 10 drugs subject to the 2026 Medicare maximum fair prices. Rebates for the remaining drug on that list will kick in April 1. Swartz discusses how hospitals should prepare for this pilot program, which is set to upend decades of established 340B operations and impose intense financial and logistical burdens on safety-net hospitals nationwide.Medicaid, IRA Changes Set To Impact 340B HospitalsThis year also saw massive changes to Medicaid funding as well as Medicare pay changes under the implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). Swartz says these developments are projected to shrink safety-net hospital margins even further. Renewed congressional focus is putting 340B in a high-profile spot, with potentially significant implications for the program and hospitals in the coming months.2026 Tips for HospitalsSwartz says she's identified two areas as more of a focus for HRSA audits this year: expanded scrutiny of offsite and on-site trial balances and the ways covered entities list shipping addresses. To prepare for possible shakeups in 2026, she recommends that covered entities begin and maintain cross-functional planning across departments and closely monitor denials, delays, and other costs from new rebate programs in addition to monitoring wholesale acquisition cost (WAC) changes and contract pharmacy developments.Resources340B Health Year-in-Review Webinar: 2025 Highlights and What's on the Horizon

How do you define peace and where do you find peace in your life? Is it possible that peace is wherever you find yourself? Listen as Mary Ellen shares some thoughts about the starting point of peace. She also shared one of her favorite poems, I AM There by James Dillet Freeman (published by Unity.)"Do you need Me?I am there. You cannot see Me, yet I am the light you see by.You cannot hear Me, yet I speak through your voice. You cannot feel Me, yet I am the power at work in your hands. I am at work, though you do not understand My ways. I am at work, though you do not recognize My works. I am not strange visions. I am not mysteries."Only in absolute stillness, beyond self, can you know Me as I am, and then but as a feeling and a faith.Yet I am there. Yet I hear. Yet I answer. When you need Me, I am there. Even if you deny Me, I am there. Even when you feel most alone, I am there.Even in your fears, I am there.Even in your pain, I am there."I am there when you pray and when you do not pray.I am in you, and you are in Me. Only in your mind can you feel separate from Me, for only in your mind are the mists of “yours” and “mine.”Yet only with your mind can you know Me and experience Me. Empty your heart of empty fears. When you get yourself out of the way, I am there."You can of yourself do nothing, but I can do all.And I am in all. Though you may not see the good, good is there, for I am there.I am there because I have to be, because I am. Only in Me does the world have meaning; only out of Me does the world take form; only because of Me does the world go forward."I am the law on which the movement of the stars and the growth of living cells are founded. I am the love that is the law's fulfilling. I am assurance. I am peace. I am oneness. I am the law that you can live by. I am the love that you can cling to. I am your assurance. I am your peace. I am one with you. I am."Though you fail to find Me, I do not fail you. Though your faith in Me is unsure, My faith in you never wavers, because I know you, because I love you.Beloved, I am there."Support the show

Ahead of World Stroke Day, Swartz joined The Spark to remind listeners that knowing the warning signs—and acting fast—can save lives. (00:20:24) as spooky season approaches, historian Chrissy Senecal says that monsters were very real to people living in medieval Europe — though not always in the ways we imagine. “In fact, there were,” she said. “Spooky season is my favorite season, and I am so happy to talk about the way that medieval people thought about monsters and how they were different from maybe what we think of as monsters today.”Support WITF: https://www.witf.org/support/give-now/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In the 18th chapter of Luke there is a parable of Jesus which illustrated the importance of being persistent and consistent in prayer. “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.' For some time he refused but finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don't fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice...." In this episode, we sit down around the fire with our friends Jason Cook and Adam Swartz, who made the trek from eastern North Carolina to spend a couple of days chasing smallmouth with us. While the fish didn't exactly cooperate, the memories, laughter, and stories shared made the trip more than worth it. We talk about the joy of just going for it—firing up that trip you've been dreaming about—and how the best part of fishing is often the people standing beside you.Jason CookAdam SwartzGet your Dads On The Fly Merch in our new online store .Want more content?
