The Parkland girls' and boys' basketball teams both had remarkable seasons. The girls' team won the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference (EPC) and District Championships, and made a deep run in the State Tournament before falling in the semi-final round to the eventual state champion, Cardinal O'Hara. This was the furthest the team had advanced since winning the State Championship in 2006.Meanwhile, the boys' team also made an impressive run, advancing all the way to the State Final - a feat not accomplished since 2004. However, they ultimately fell short, losing the State Championship game by just two points.It's worth noting that the boys' head coach, Eddie Ohlson, was a senior on the Parkland team back in 2004. Interestingly, the girls' head coach is Eddie's father, Ed Ohlson Sr.

Dr. Madson explores the 5th grade experience, which is the last year of elementary school within Parkland. Mr. Bartman, Principal of Parkway Manor, Yael Shimon, 5th grader in Mrs. King's class from Parkway Manor, Mrs. Aulisio, Principal at Kratzer, and Jaxon Kijak, 5th grader from Mr. Green's homeroom at Kratzer, open up about their 5th grade experience and thoughts about life beyond elementary school.

OMS STEAM Expo is May 9th - they are working on a hovercraft! SMS held their STEAM Expo in April. Esports describes the world of competitive, organized video gaming. Competitors from different leagues or teams face off in the same games that are popular with at-home gamers (think: Fortnite, League of Legends, and Madden NFL, to name a few). The streaming service Twitch allow viewers to watch as their favorite gamers play in real time. Students can gain college scholarships in esports in much the same fashion as a regular athlete.
Dr. Madson sits down with a few A-wingers – Addison Treat, Mitchell Roth and Kali Hurst, along with Visual and Performing Arts Director Mr. Anonia, to give us an overview of arts opportunities in the latest episode.
Dr. Madson chats with Jackie Fekula, a Senior Defensive Specialist on the Girls' Volleyball Team, Sejal Wellington, a Senior Forward on the Girls' Soccer Team and Nate Kemmerer, a Senior Offensive / Defensive Lineman on the Football Team along with Athletic Director Bill Dreisbach. They share valuable lessons learned and advice for future Parkland athletes.
