Now that you're a Private Pilot, it's time to consider some of the advanced ratings available to you. Most begin with the Instrument Rating, which allows you to fly in instrument meteorological conditions (IFR) on an instrument flight plan. This is a challenging, yet rewarding rating to achieve! Once you've accumulated 250 hrs of flight time, you can qualify for the Commercial Certificate, which allows you to be paid as a pilot for certain jobs under specific regulations. On this episode, we will introduce you to the eligibility requirements and some of the aspects of training you can look forward to.   https://www.flymauihi.com/   Download a free copy of the Airman Certification Standards (ACS) for the Instrument Rating and Commercial Certificate: https://www.faa.gov/training_testing/testing/acs     Check out our other podcast, The Aloha 360. All the while gaining practical insight and instruction on over water operations, mountain flying, Class C operations, and challenging crosswind landings.
