The tariffs were set to go into effect today. The president said that the two countries had reached a deal, subject to the finalization of the documents.  Trump picked a pro-lifer to head the FDA President Donald Trump nominated Dr. Heidi Overton to lead the Food and Drug Administration yesterday. She previously served as a White House health policy adviser. Dr. Overton is an opponent of abortion. She has written about the dangerous rise of chemical abortion which was allowed by the FDA in previous years. Christian Forest Service officer no longer required to work on Sundays A U.S. Forest Service officer will no longer be required to work on Sundays. Adam Diemert is a Forest Service law enforcement officer in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. He is also a devout Presbyterian who attends church twice every Sunday. Adam submitted multiple religious accommodation requests to not work on Sundays. Sadly, the Forest Service denied those requests. But thanks to the legal help of First Liberty Institute, Adam finally received the accommodation last week.  Socialist Democrats score another primary victory Socialist Democrats picked up another primary victory on Tuesday. Socialist Angie Nixon defeated retired Army Lt. Col. Alex Vindman, in Florida's Democrat primary race for the U.S. Senate.  Listen to the opening line of her victory speech. Vindman lost despite raising more than sixteen times as much money as Nixon.  Amazon delivery drones come to 500 cities Amazon delivery drones are coming to nearly 500 cities and towns this year. The company announced yesterday, “Prime Air offers millions of items by drone at everyday low prices, in as fast as 30 minutes.” The service currently operates in just 11 U.S. locations.  President Trump meets heroic lifeguard who saved 10-year-old And finally, President Donald Trump recently met with a heroic lifeguard as well as the 10-year-old boy he rescued. Sixteen-year-old Ryder Williams saved Nathaniel Rai from a rip current at a beach in Santa Cruz, California last month. A video of the rescue went viral, getting the president's attention. When asked by a reporter what went through his mind, the lifeguard said this. WILLIAMS: “In those dangerous moments that we have, we always try to fall back on our training. We are trained so well, by many, to handle that situation as best we can. So, I really am just thinking about how to get the boy out of the water as fast as I can.” He was also asked about his plans for the future. WILLIAMS: “I want to be a firefighter in the future. Hopefully, go through paramedic school.” Williams and Rai got to visit the White House on Monday. President Trump commended Williams and emphasized the providential moment. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Pakistani Muslim man abducts and marries 14-year-old Christian girl A married Pakistani Muslim, 41-year-old Arshad Habib, who already had three wives, abducted a 14-year-old Christian girl on May 12th. He forcibly converted her to Islam and married her, exploiting her epilepsy and mental health vulnerabilities to sexually abuse her, reports Morning Star News. The girl's father, Abbas Masih, a daily wage laborer and member of a local Brethren church in Lahore, the Pakistani capital, said his daughter, Nisha, disappeared on May 12th while working as a domestic helper at a Muslim household. Police showed the father documents claiming Nisha had converted to Islam on February 15 and married Habib three days later. Jeff Bezos: We don't have a tax problem. We have a spending problem. Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, gave CNBC co-anchor Andrew Sorkin a reality check on how ludicrous the Left's tax-the-rich scheme really is when measured up against the data during the May 20th edition of Squawk Box, reports NewsBusters.org. Sorkin tried cornering Bezos on the bevy of headlines in the media excoriating billionaires, decrying their wealth accumulation, and vilifying them for supposedly not paying their fair share in taxes. Bezos was not fazed. BEZOS: “I think what's going on is that it's kind of a tale of two economies. So, you have a bunch of people in this country who are doing really well. But you also have a bunch of people in this country who are struggling -- rent, groceries.  “A nurse in Queens, who makes $75,000 a year, pays more than $12,000 a year in taxes. Does that really make sense? How about we start by having the nurse in Queens not pay taxes at all.  “The bottom half of income earners in this country pay only 3% of the taxes. The top 1% of taxpayers pay 40% of all the tax revenue. We don't have a revenue problem in this country. We actually have a spending problem.” Jeff Bezos gave an example of how spending more money is not necessarily an iron-clad guarantee of fixing a problem. BEZOS: “The New York City school system: They spend $44,000 per student. That's 30% more per student than other big cities like Chicago, L.A., and Boston. And it's three times more than Miami and Houston. By the way, New York City doesn't get better outcomes.  “If we ran Amazon the way New York City runs their school system, your packages would take six weeks to arrive, we'd have to charge you a $100 delivery fee, and then, when the package did finally arrive, it'd have the wrong item in it anyway.” Homosexual former Congressman Barney Frank died Former Democratic Congressman Barney Frank of Massachusetts, a self-avowed homosexual, died May 19th at the age of 86 after entering hospice care at his home in Maine last month due to congestive heart failure, reports The Western Journal. According to The New York Times, he came out of the sexual perversion closet publicly in an interview with The Boston Globe in the spring of 1987, saying, "If you ask the direct question: 'Are you gay?' the answer is: 'Yes. So what?' " He was the first open homosexual in Congress and the first one to be faux married in July 2012. Frank met his faux “husband,” Jim Ready, 30 years his junior, at a homosexual political fundraiser in Maine.   Appearing on NBC's Meet the Press in March 2015, Congressman Frank was asked this question by Chuck Todd. TODD:  “You're trying to answer this conundrum. Gay rights were once reviled publicly and Congress was revered. Now, those attitudes have flipped. How did that happen?” FRANK: “Our reality, as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender people, beat the prejudice. The essential mechanism is there, that we stopped hiding. And it turned out we weren't what the stereotype was.  “There was a point when the notion that I could get married to Jim [Ready] while I was still in Congress, would have been the most bizarre possibility. Colorado teacher prohibited 7th grader from reading pro-life poem in class And finally, a Colorado teacher at Drake Middle School refused to allow a seventh-grade student to present her pro-life poem in class because it was deemed “offensive,” reports LifeSiteNews.com. GIRL: “My teacher assigned an assignment in class to write a slam poem about a conflict in the world that we are passionate about. I chose life. I chose this topic because it's important to me and my family. In my poem, I met all of the criteria. I got reputable resources. And I included everything that I needed in my poem.” The opening of the 13-year-old's poem said, “A life is a life, no matter how small. Seventy-three million people have been killed in one year when they are completely innocent humans. They never get to see the light of day before they are cast away.  They did nothing wrong except exist and were dismissed. People say women need health care but never think how unfair. They kill baby for simply being there! The Word of God says [in Psalm 139:13], ‘You knit me together in my mother's womb.'  How come we never listen to this and try to send them to the tomb?” The teacher reportedly tried to kick the girl out of class during other students' presentations which slammed the Second Amendment and championed sexual perversion.  The girl's mother said her own mother became pregnant at age 14 and chose life, resulting in strong pro-life convictions in her own family. For more than 47 years, the Islamic regime ruling Iran has governed through fear, oppression, and bloodshed, reports International Christian Concern. The hands of this regime are stained with the blood of thousands of Iranian and American citizens. It has been one of the world's leading sponsors of terrorism, spreading violence far beyond Iran's borders. At home, it has relentlessly persecuted Christians — executing some, imprisoning many, and forcing countless others into exile. Believers have been torn from their families, their homes, and their homeland, scattered across the world simply because they chose to follow Jesus Christ. When some Iranians celebrate or dance these days, it is not because they love war. It is because they have lived for decades under a darkness that few outside the country can fully comprehend. For many Iranians, these moments carry the fragile hope that the long night of oppression may finally be nearing its end. And freedom might be dawning once again. Congress hopes to Safeguard Women from Chemical Abortion On Wednesday, Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri took to the podium in the Senate Judiciary hearing room to deliver a clear message: the abortion pill Mifepristone is not just risky — it's “inherently dangerous.” And it's up to Congress to regulate it, reports The Washington Stand. At a press conference, the Missouri senator unveiled his new legislation, the Safeguarding Women from Chemical Abortion Act. This bill seeks to strip Mifepristone — the drug responsible for the majority of U.S. abortions — of its longstanding approval from the Food and Drug Administration. According to recent data from the Guttmacher Institute, chemical abortions made up 63% of all abortions in 2023, with the trend only accelerating in the years since. Senator Hawley didn't hold back, blasting the FDA for letting mail-order shipments flood the country, wiping out state-level protections for the unborn and leaving women to face severe complications. HAWLEY: “In 11% of cases, women who take the drug, Mifepristone for use in an abortion experience a serious adverse health event. Now, that's the technical term. What it means, in practice, is internal infections, sepsis, hemorrhaging, a trip to the emergency room, a life-threatening condition. In 11% of cases!” Hawley added, “It is time for Congress to do something about this racket, And it is a racket. It is time for Congress to ban the use of Mifepristone for abortion, and it is time for Congress to give the victims — the survivors — … the right to recover.” He framed the fight as a double victory: shielding vulnerable women from what many see as a profit-driven chemical experiment and protecting unborn life when the courts and agencies will not. Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said the synagogue's security team engaged the suspect with gunfire after he breached the building and drove down a hallway. The suspect was later found dead. His body was badly burned. BOUCHARD: “No kids, this is the important thing, no kids or no staff was injured whatsoever. One of the lead security people was hit by the car and was taken to the hospital for treatment. That individual should be okay.” The sheriff said the suspect appears to have been the only person in the vehicle. CNN host makes humiliating on-air correction after getting NYC terror attack story wrong During a “Stop the Islamic Takeover of New York City” rally on Saturday, two men were arrested for throwing improvised explosive devices at anti-Islam protesters. Authorities later discovered these men were inspired by the Islamic State terrorist group. The incident took place outside Gracie Mansion, the official residence of New York Democratic Mayor Zohran Mamdani. However, CNN's Abby Phillip, host of “NewsNight,” claimed on Tuesday that the men were not targeting the crowd, but the mayor, a Muslim himself, reports The Western Journal. PHILLIP: “Two Republicans say Muslims don't belong here after an attempted terror attack on New York Mayor Zohran Mamdami.” Samuel Short wrote, “The intent was obvious as CNN and Phillip would love to blame anyone who criticizes Islam as a violent terrorist. Oh, the irony.” On Wednesday morning, Phillip published a correction on the social media platform X. She also issued a correction on air Wednesday night. PHILIP: “This morning I issued a correction first thing in the morning, on X, for a mistake that I made in last night's show. But I also wanted to do so on air as well. “I incorrectly said that the bombs that were thrown by ISIS-inspired suspects in New York over the weekend were directed at Mayor Mamdani. They were not. I failed to catch and correct that mistake in real time, and I take full responsibility for that.” Former Southern Baptist Convention President entered hospice Former Southern Baptist Convention President Steve Gaines, age 68, has entered hospice care, over two years after he was diagnosed with kidney cancer, reports The Christian Post. Bellevue Baptist Church Pastor Ben Mandrell, who replaced Gaines as lead pastor of the Cordova, Tennessee-based megachurch last year, wrote a letter to the congregation earlier this week explaining the situation. He wrote, “Steve has faithfully served the Lord and shepherded so many people through the years. He's been a great pastor, mentor and friend. Let's honor him and his family by lifting them up before the Lord.” Butler Bill, which prohibited teaching evolution, signed into law And finally, on this day, March 13, 1925, Tennessee Governor Austin Peay signed the "Butler Bill” which prohibited the teaching of the false theory of macro evolution in public schools. The law was introduced by Tennessee House of  Representatives member John Washington Butler, for whom the law was named. The law was challenged and upheld later that year in a famous trial in Dayton, Tennessee called the Scopes Trial which involved a raucous confrontation between prosecution attorney and Christian leader, William Jennings Bryan, and prominent defense attorney and religious agnostic, Clarence Darrow. On parental rights, Bryan said, “The parents have a right to say that no teacher, paid by their money, shall rob their children of faith in God.” On the nature of evolution, Bryan said, "The first objection to Darwinism is that it is only a guess and was never anything more. It is millions of guesses strung together.” And, on his Christian worldview, Bryan said, "I would rather begin with God and reason down than begin with a piece of dirt and reason up.” Sadly, William Jennings Bryan died five days after the Scopes Trial concluded. The Butler Law was not repealed until 1967. A stunning whistleblower revelation exposes 25 years of secret FBI files used to surveil Trump, his allies, and political opponents—without evidence of crimes.
