Personal Development and Spirituality. Stories and journeys that come together that help the healing process of childhood trauma with each podcast bringing a different element of understanding of our own personal journeys through life. We are all connected, we learn from each other. Learnt behaviour in early development can keep us trapped in our core beliefs that, we are not loved, not good enough. As an intuitive energy healing, Body Psychotherapist, i have learnt through my personal journeys that life does not have to be perfect to be beautiful. I am not my past. A good place to start !
The fear of letting go, making that formidable next step into the current of life and moving on can be frightening. Stepping into what we do NOT know while leaving behind what we are familiar with is the biggest most courageous journey we can make that can often, bring about the biggest challenges as well as the most wonderful life changing rewards. The choice is ours.
What does It Means to Speak Your Truth? Speaking your truth means that you stay true to who you are, whether it's your feelings, opinions, or morals. Don't hide what you feel for the sake of someone's approval of you, it shouldn't work that way. As a child, i denied my truth simply because, my intention in those developing years was to survive. The miracle, as the adult now, listening to that childlike intuition.
The role I play in my current life has to be one of servitude to my own personal spiritual growth. The role I CHOOSE, outside of that, I have created from my past when i believed, it would bring the rewards of love and acceptance. Letting go of a negative Core belief that my acceptance is based on separation in this world from my spiritual journey is the hardest belief to release.
Working at being a spiritual identity takes away from the truth that, we are all spiritual beings living the human experience. We can have freedom in life when we accept ourselves and let go of the notion, to be perfect is to be completely spiritual. Self love and acceptance can open the door to remaining simple. In the words of Meister Eckhart.
What we choose determines our inner peace or, our inner pain. "Until the philosophy that holds one race superior to another inferior is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned, everywhere is war. ( From a speech by H.I.M Haile Selassie. Sung by the Hon Robert Nesta Marley.) We are in a time of Spiritual warfare. Energetically, we can choose to let go of the Egoic mind which will always try to make us believe that we are at war. A construct of our negative Core belief system.
When life was turned upside down for the global community in 2020, the lack of understanding, the fear of not knowing what one should do in the light of great grief all around caused by CV-19, there was nowhere to turn except inwards. It created the pause button to be activated for many and for some, to connect to the deeper meaning of life. Many lives have been lost as well as the Soul's some would believe, who have left this world to allow a new consciousness to emerge. Hopefully, as part of the healing needed on our planet.
There is a discomfort in the lack of not knowing. Who we are, our identity, our purpose. The lack of nothingness, the discomfort of grief. When we can be happy within the darkness, is it then we find our joy, our inner peace and where we find our authentic being?
As someone who has suffered in life to become 'accepted', then coming to self acceptance through learning how to love the shadow as well as the light, i have personally seen how energetic generational Cords through negative Core beliefs can keep us trapped in our own personal experience as we develop and grow. Entity release is a way of bringing broken aspects of ourselves, back to the light in love. Breaking ritualistic patterns can lead to inner peace and growth. We are not born evil.
Adele is an inspiration to the world. Music and creative artists who bring to life their stories of pain and past experiences either inspire us or, trigger deep issues of covert self hate. To value oneself, is it possible to pause in life allowing space to heal from trauma embodied physically, emotionally or mentally? Spiritual evaluation happens when we are ready to own our story and pause, while allowing the healing of self which then, resonates with others around us.
At different times in our lives, we play out to the world, a role we think will gain us acceptance and approval. Love and compassion in business is possible with, a healthy self empowered mindset. Different ages present at different stages of development the understandings of who we THINK we are. Being confident in who we are TODAY, can begin the journey of asking who am I without the past story of my lives up's and downs?
Anxiety at a very deep level can create an unconscious thought process that is relived from the past. Our investment in clinging to our emotional pain that unconsciously we believe will keep us 'safe' so that nothing can hurt us as adults, keep's us aligned with a negative Core belief that we cannot trust the external world when in fact, the investment in life right now by adjusting the negative past belief to a positive one is an indictment of who we are today. Inner Peace is constant. Inner Pain is the struggle.
Feelings and emotions are natural. When we do not feel anything, is that a bad thing? If we are in denial of feeling through our past suffering there is a bigger problem which can affect our life and , our relationships. Is not feeling good, or bad possibly be a journey to becoming in a neutral place of detachment from Ego ?
Why do we hang on to relationships past their due date? Coming from spiritual love, a child develops its own understanding of how to get love as it evolves and develops with its personality forming along the way. The narcissistic mother typically, are possessive of their children and threatened by their growth. Relationships can become affected later in life when emotionally, as adults, we can be drawn to relationships that cannot fulfil us. The journey to wellness can begin with first, learning to love our own inner child . Unconditionally.
The journey to wellness begins right here. Right now. As the child inside of us evolves, and learns that they are loved, it is possible to come back to the original state of being. Knowing that we are loved. We are heard. The journey begins with us though by first, coming home to ourselves.
When we resist feelings, they persist. The distortion of love can be healed by way of self acceptance and self acknowledgement. Our life story is just that, a story which we can choose to change via our perception and owning, our negative thoughts, feelings and actions leaving a void for a new story to begin. Saving others begins by first, saving our selves.
Our Spirit returns i personally believe, through many lifetimes to learn new lessons that can help it embody the true essence of life. The healing of one self comes through many passages of shining light when we are ready to receive the forgiving actions we have taken to survive. Love is all there is. Our Soul's journey is to continuously learn to heal.
A Course in Miracles teaches us that everything comes from perception. Good and bad. When I listen to my mind that wishes me to react to painful feelings or emotions, i am connecting to my past. Authentic truth i am learning, is listening to my own truth that leads me to my own peace. The wondrous joy of life is always present. If we choose to see it. # My purpose today is to connect to where I am now. In this moment.#
The journey to our authenticity begins with the journey to our self. At different junctions, we learn different lessons good ,and not so good. These lessons lead us to new challenges with obstacles that can keep us stuck in either the fearful mind, or lead us to the peaceful mind. The belief that ,'nothing is wrong except our perception we hold of something' can be upsetting for the Ego mind to hear. We can choose to see an obstacle as a golden opportunity for change that can lead us always, to our purpose in this life.
How do we and why do we invest in our pain and suffering? From a spiritual perspective, nothing is wrong. Our human contact with the story we carry contributes to the believe that everything is wrong causing emotional and mental imbalance. Choices we make in life from a young age in our early development can happen as a result of numbing out to the past but, that painful part of the story, the bit where our suffering began, can be looked at and healed. The story will always be there but how much energy do we truly want o invest in our past?
Strength, faith, understanding, patience, guidance and wisdom are virtues we can choose to live by. We are lovable, acceptable and unique beings, who through life experiences, have learnt to criticise and un-love our self. Health and happiness are dependent on letting go of who and what we THINK we are… …and adjusting to who we REALLY are.
All we need to do is to forget and get on with another year, forgive everyone and everything because of the season. This is true. To some extent. Perception is everything. My perception of reality is not the same as the next persons. Forgiveness comes as a result of forgiving myself first. 2020 for many has been the hardest time in their existence and forgetting the pain, the fear ,confronting loss and confusion is not as easy as that. It can take time to heal. To understand by choosing to heal, life can take you onto another course of action. Changing perception can help but ultimately, allowing the deep love at the core of your being to carry you through can heal the wounds of yesterday. Love is all there is.
Our Ego mind is wise in making us believe the self criticism and doubts about our selves as well as the external world we are born into. Relationships are critical to life. Words come as a way of expression. How we use them, is purely down to us. Words have spirit to build or tear down the uniqueness of our Soul. The lovingness of our spirit can carry us wholly, to a deeper place of self acceptance. Our truth is our word. Our word can be our truth.
A lot of childhood trauma in men cannot be openly discussed always due to the core belief instilled into them from a young age. Boys are tough, girls are soft. The definition of being tough and masculine, strong and fearless can arrest the development of the journey into adulthood. Once the boy is assured that, he is love, safe and heard, the integrative journey to self love, self empowerment , self accountability and self reliability can begin. The man becomes self empowered.
To have the capacity to love authentically we first have to look at the defences and blocks that energetically and psychologically , can arrest the development of our human journey to self acceptance, self love and inner peace. Amadis Camell , Spiritual teacher, Acupuncturist, advocate of Transpersonal Psychology and healer joins this episode bringing a deeper look into one's journey to healing through the process of self healing.

To reconcile with our authentic self means we have to accept all the things that have happened to us.All the experiences that detached from our knowing. The Core beliefs formed in the early development of our life carry with them the confusion and conflicts of human behaviour. Reconciliation with our spirit, relieves us of the resistance. Resistance of life happening in its entirety. We are peaceful fulfilled beings. If we choose to be.

A new dawn with a new president and for the first time in history, a woman as vice president. As a woman of colour, how it feels to see a changing world where intention can mean everything feels overwhelming but more important, as a woman where we have for so long in many ways, been made to feel unheard and not seen.It is a very awakening time in the world. As long as there are principles that we can abide by or believe in, great things are possible with patience and perseverance for every human being, We must always look forward, learn from the past lessons but not wallow in them with the journey ever changing, bringing us always into the moment while looking forward with intention for whatever we wish for.
The journey of the Soul is an enigma. What happens in crisis when trauma is implanted into consciousness? For the best part, we switch 'off'. We become numb to the experience. We bury our pain. Fragmented parts of our Soul that are lost can affect us in many ways… ...becoming defensive, angry at everything, fear of losing relationships, fear of not being in control, feelings of helplessness and powerlessness are all examples of possible ‘Soul loss'. Can we heal from this? Most certainly. If we are courageous enough to step onto the path of self-healing.
What can start out as a traumatic experience as a spirit, connecting to the humaneness of the world when young, can become a journey into retrieving parts of our being from which we have detached. The journey of the Soul is one of learning through all life's experiences. We either learn from or avoid the teachings. The choice is an individual one. Fear over peace, peace over fear. The choice is ours.
It makes sense that our journey in life one of many, has to be towards wellness. All experiences both good and not so good, eventually lead us back to our authentic self through the paths we choose to take. healing begins when we choose to bravely step onto a new path. When we are ready to take the next step towards healing of our past. This is the journey to wellness.
A way of moving through the ‘Dark Night of the Soul' from my own experience recently, was to surrender. Does learning to surrender come through Spiritual maturity? Do the sage's of old learn from birth that wisdom is within and that we are all born adequately provided with all we need? We CAN choose peace over fear. We can experience Spiritual Transitioning. What does that mean? When going through human 'stuff' in life the only way out is to ‘allow'. Learn from it and move on. Easier said than done. This is hard for the hopelessness some people will feel depending on the life circumstances. Moving through life's traumas, letting go of old patterns, behaviours and beliefs can be an exhausting experience. This episode includes information on Energy Healing and the different techniques used to help break down the blocks that keep us trapped within our own darkness. There can be light through the trees, we just have to believe.
This episode explores a Book written by Mateo Sol who states, at some point that most of us go through a phenomenon known as the 'Dark Night of the Soul'. After falling victim to the Corona Virus in March 2020, I had one night where I believed that this was it! I pulled through; it was not my time. But I will never forget the surrendering I experienced in the midst of a personal awakening to the question we all ask at junctions of a transition while examining spiritual philosophy; what is my purpose? Since then, life has changed, and I recognise change had been happening in the run up to the pandemic. My spiritual connection means so much more to me as I seek to understand, what that 'Dark Night of the Soul' has shown me. Detachment simply from everything I perceived as important. Including the Egocentric mindset.
The journey to self-love can be a challenge for many. How do we start? Reviewing something from the past that opens the heart in love can lead us to reflection on a happier time, when possibilities were endless. Reflecting on the joy of life no matter how short or long it was, a moment even, can help us readjust and choose another way that can lead us to where we are now, in any situation, that has blocked our joy. Reviving the joy of life is a spontaneous act.
Being true to yourself. That statement, to one, does not mean the same to another. Others change as a result of communication if, it is spoken in truth. Being true to oneself can change relationships, even break them. But compromising our voice, by not speaking up, prevents our journey to wellness The Heart Chakra and Throat Chakra are connected, not by choice but in the nature of letting go of grievances and unspoken anger. Our Inner Child will always have a voice. It is our choice us to listen to it and acknowledge that voice.
Why do I sometimes feel so sad? I now understand personally, as someone who has suffered unbalanced emotions throughout life, that some people believe that depression is something that is unnatural and it must be 'healed'. My experience is that depression and anxiety come from imbalances within our energy subtle bodies; a delayed response to anything that impacts on our harmony or, inner joy. When I choose to allow my emotions to be what they are, I can also choose the path of healing that is right for me. Healing does not happen in a linear fashion. It causes for us to pay attention, allow and mostly forgive ourselves for believing (whatever that is that has made us believe) that we are wrong, not right, not acceptable and above all, not lovable.
Happiness V Pleasure. Guilt is a emotion that we feel. There are various causes of guilt. Most importantly, why do we hold onto guilt and where does pleasure lead us if we are denying our guilt? As always, the journey to wellness comes as a result of understanding the energetic responses we have to the world around us. Letting go of the past can only lead us to a brighter future. We cannot forget the story but we can learn from it. Guilt can cripple us throughout life from childhood to adults.Relationships can fail as a way of carrying this emotion. There is another way.
I can choose to feel guilty right? No. I can choose to acknowledge guilt and then allow the process of letting go. Guilt is an emotion that is quite natural. It becomes defined in the ‘Child Self' as negative by our inability to understand a world, that for some, has let us down. We need to be shown equal amounts of love, as well as discipline. Pleasure is visceral, happiness is ethereal.
When all else fails, when we feel the need to connect to the external world, the illusionary offering of chaos can seem a familiar place to visit. The deception of the Ego can lead us to believe we have to separate from our inner peace. We all have peace within. But how do we access it when life, and our journeys at times, can be so painful?
Family wounding can be carried over many years, decades or centuries. To understand why we have emotions such as feel guilt or shame, we have to recognise the past and the dynamics of our biological family. Healing happens as a result of learning to let go of our most negative emotions. In this episode, I discuss the way we are led to believe sometimes that we are at fault for things that happen. We can unconsciously carry a belief; we are bad or irresponsible. And sometimes, aligning ourselves with our own inner truth, which is another journey, can ultimately bring us to a place of letting go of negative core beliefs.
Are animals any different to humans when it comes to Chakras, auras and vibrations? In this episode we look at the biological system that becomes our biology and how loving our pets can keep us connected to our open heart and unconditional love. Behavioural and attitudinal conditioning within us can change, if we choose another way of seeing through new eyes.
How can you be depressed yet be in gratitude at the same time? Our mental health is vulnerable to our current life experiences, and our past, be it hereditary or other. Depression can be passed down, be a part of our life, our struggle. And for some, who have to live with this, can be a crippling dis-ease. Gratitude is the challenge; to see how the simplest things in life can open us to the journey of the present and possibly, line the path for our future happiness and inner peace.
Depression. It is a crippling dis-ease that many suffer from. As a child I did not know I was depressed because, as children, we do not have the emotional intelligence to understand our world. Discovering the ancient Chakra system as a therapist and using it for my own personal journey, I have found a way of managing my life as well as helping others to find their own way back to wholeness.

We live in precarious times, where the dismantling of structures is symbolic to a time in history where people of African heritage were seen as sub human. As an African heritage woman, I want to talk about Psychology versus Spirituality. What is the difference and how can we dismantle the fearful mind; the mind that would have us believe that we are not lovable? Bringing races together to explore the dismantling of old historical beliefs is a journey. A journey to knowing ourself.
We are living in a time where anger and passion are side by side. Light and dark. Fear versus peace. Our defences are born as a way of protecting that wounded part of our true nature. Anger serves no one or nothing but, it is an emotion we have and should be seen as one that is normal. Being told not to be angry does not serve the child. Love comes from acknowledging the past, the pain and moving through it. How can we not be affected by what is happening in the world today and how can we learn to separate or transform the pain? A new journey!
It is said that most illnesses are a result of a loss of energy from the first three Chakras (energy centres). In this podcast I explain the journey to wellness though understanding the psychological function of each of the major 7 energy centres. Emotions can govern our life and influence our mental health. ‘Clear' mental health is vital to the overall health of the physical healthy body. Re-balancing, clearing and re-charging the energy centres can be a formative way to, over time, to self-heal emotionally, mentally and physically.
