** From Nick's website | Linked below** I am a transformational life coach, entrepreneur, father and former US Army Ranger. My mission is to empower you to live your life as an adventure - with peace, passion and intention. I do this by helping you embrace uncertainty and envision the life you want to live (your adventure). I guide you through first steps and hold you accountable for taking action. In addition to coaching sessions by phone and in person, I take you out in the wilderness for "adventure coaching sessions" to get you out of your head and into your heart. I listen, reflect, and support you to grow. I celebrate your successes and push you to be brave, go farther, and we do it together. Throughout this bold and adventurous life, I have won and lost. I have played with the fear of the deep unknown. I have tasted the sweet victory resulting from dedicated effort and hard work. I have felt the pain of trying to control things beyond my control. As a recovering “control addict” and former corporate employee (asleep at the wheel of my life), I have felt the struggle of living disconnectedly – void of true purpose – a vassal to the grind and societal expectations. I've been stuck in the preservation zone, playing safe and playing small. I got unstuck when a life coach, and friend, asked me one pivotal question. It was the question that cut deep and shook me to the core. It shook me awake - wide awake. I grabbed the wheel, and redirected my course towards passion and purpose. I chose to live with intention and explore the possibilities of my most adventurous life. With critical guidance from my coach – I now live my adventure. It's my turn to help you live yours! https://www.nickdevlincoaching.com/

In 2010 I sent socks in care packages to a friend deployed to Afghanistan - and that set off a chain of events that I never could have imagined! The socks were a hit, and the idea of SOLEDIER SOCKS was born. An entrepreneurial spirit, patriotic heart, and desire to give back were the perfect recipe to take that leap of faith and start my own company! Now, we create the most comfortable & durable socks possible, supporting our U.S. Military community with every purchase - making sure dealing with a blister is the last thing a deployed service member should be worrying about!

Military, college, MBA, construction works, ranching, or high school, It does not matter what you have done in your past. I picked 13 guests from past episodes and shared their definitions in this one episode. Guests like Don Barden, Raye Perez, Jennifer Hartung, Ali Villanueva, and nine others. Medic. That word will always hold a special place in my heart. I have had a medic at my hip for most of the last ten years in uniform. I did not go anywhere without my medic. I can hear myself now. Doc! Where's Doc?! Get Doc up here! Have you seen Doc? On the podcast today, I once again have a medic on my hip, which brings a smile to my face. Zach Conaway is one of the most genuine people you will ever meet. Be careful if you ask for his opinion Zach will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. His candidness is one of the qualities that make him a great medic. Zach has been a medic for all of his military career and is a good one. Medics are special people. They train their whole career honing medical skills they hope never to use. Nothing grabs the attention of people like hearing the call “get the medic up here, now.” Zach and his medic brethren are the best at what they do, and I would trust them with the life of my wife and kids. I am proud to call Zach “Doc” Conaway a friend

Our Gold Star families are national treasures, and Pat Marek is a treasure to my family. Pat is the mother of Matt Commons. Matt was my Ranger buddy, and he gave his life in service to our country on March 4, 2002. Pat and I admittedly stayed distant from each other over the years to not emotionally hurt one another. That has changed with this podcast as we shared laughs and tears while we remembered her son and my friend. I hope you all listen to Pat's story, and if you are struggling with a loss, I encourage you to talk with someone. It really does help.
I am convinced that Don Barden is the most interesting man in the world. Don is a classically trained economist who earned his M.B.A. in Global Technology Management and International Business with an undergraduate B.B.A. in Economics and Finance. He is A.B.D. with doctoral studies in International Finance and Behavioral Economics. He resides in Atlanta, Georgia, and is fluent in international business affairs. Don is also one of the most generous people I know with both his time and resources. He is a servant leader who sets the example for others to follow, and I am lucky to call him a friend and mentor. There is a special offer embedded in the episode; please listen and share, and I expect to see some of you in my D.M.'s.
