Bryant & Leah watched Snowflake Mountain on Netflix, Bryant was more concerned with who the show was marketed to by the title then watching the show while Leah had *thoughts*. Both are more concerned about a previous TLC show couple though that is going thru a tumultuous time, and have feelings. Season 1 of Snowflake Mountain is streaming in its entirety on Netflix. This episode Bryant and Leah cover "This is A Robbery" which is a 4 piece documentary look into the Isabella Gardner museum robbery in Boston, MA in 1990 on St Patricks Day. This crime has never been solved and it looks into all of the aspects of the crime and why it has captivated so many people over the years. Not shocking at all, it's something Leah has heard of, and Bryant has not. They discuss how they both watched it differently - Bryant has a security professional and Leah as a true crime 'oh my god the cops are gonna mess this up aren't they' camp. But at the end of it, neither of us are shocked that the security itself was so lacking. Leah makes Bryant watch Fox's Labor of Love which takes the "Baby Momma" Kristy, an old Bachelor alum from the 2007 season, and a group of potential baby daddies as they take on certain "tasks" that test not only their romantic capabilities but also their ability to be a good dad.  Updates after recording: Bryant and Leah were wrong about their guesses on a few of the men. Uncut Gems is a terrible movie (Leah's opinion - she only watched a fourth of it. Thanks to the facebook poll, Leah and Bryant were forced to watch Netflix's Tidying Up. In addition, we keep getting asked to review Love After Lock Up, so this episode is a two show review! The First episode of Tidying Up shows the Kondo method of cleaning out your house and the first place that was "put to the test" was a house that if they kept going would be on an episode of hoarders in the next 10 years or so. Leah asks the pivotal question - what does she actually do? Bryant tries to understand how Leah's brain functions (spoiler: it doesn't). The second show we reviewed is much better and the 90 day fiance for felons. This show takes 4 couples getting ready to bring their loved one home from jail - spoiler none of these people knew their boyfriend / girlfriends / fiances before they went to jail. We go off on a tangent about a show that is no longer on air and missed dearly. The First season of Tidying Up can be watched (or not watched) on Netflix. On this episode, Bryant made the mistake of saying he "would watch anything" and I went against his normal moratorium against true crime and selected an ID show I had never heard of: the 1990s Deadliest Decade, episode one "Lone Star" the murder of Doris Angleton in River Oaks (Houston), Texas. We watch and review this show, it's terrible re-enactments, the worst photos ever, why true crime is either anxiety inducing or anxiety curing. Thanks to listener email from Alex, Leah finally gets Bryant to watch some true crime TV. With Netflix's recent revival of the Staircase documentary, it seemed fitting to discuss one of the most debated murders. Leah let's Bryant know ahead of time of the "conspiracy theory" involving this case, and Bryant incorrectly guesses what the conspiracy is throughout the episode. The murder of Kathleen Peterson and trial of her husband, Michael Peterson, is one of the most bizarre true crime tales. We only watched the first episode, but Leah dips into Wikipedia to summarize the rest of the trials and the conspiracy theory and where Michael is now (if you want to watch the series first, stop at the 15 minute mark- it's all downhill with spoilers after that!) We binge watched Flint Town, got outraged by the newly appointed police chief, discussed the compelling vs non-compelling people / stories in the series, wondered why oh why they had so many scenes with fireworks, and talked about how important education is and how dumb militarization of police is. We ended the show a few times, and then kept talking but finally concluded with our love affair with all things related to pit bull puppies. (All dogs are puppies - fyi). The best episode of the 5 is episode 3 "Gold Town Terror"- where a cute alaskan investigator goes to investigate the Red Onion Saloon which was a brothel for 2 years and has the best museum curator. Leah, a long time Supernatural fan, makes Bryant (whose never seen an episode) watch the mid-season return which also happens to be the premiere for the spin off series "Wayward Sisters". Bryant can't remember characters names, knows no backstory, and had no idea what he was getting into watching the 10th episode of the 13th season. Leah who loves this show and has seen every episode tries to guide Bryant into the world of Supernatural with the quickest re-telling of the 13 seasons to explain the context of the show - but fails as a superfan by trying to oversimplify and making some silly mistakes.. saving people, hunting things...
