On the finale of season 3 (we've come a long way) we decided to talk about movies that we'd rewrite and change if we had the chance to and how we think we'd make it better. Egyir spoke about certain things in Marvel movies he'd change, he had some big problems with The Eternals, Omi and Joe had 2-3 movies in common and each had a different idea on how they'd change the movie for the better according to them. Thank you for listening to us for 3 seasons. We'll be taking a break to recharge our batteries and come back bigger and better for Season 4.
We went on a short short break but we're back and we're on the final two episodes to end the season. On this episode the trio have Maame Ama return as a guest to discuss about the legacy and career of John Travolta. They talk about their favourite Travolta movies, how he has a string of hits in the 70s and 90s and why he seems to be making terrible decisions with the movies he's been picking in the last decade or so.
What do Silence of the Lambs and Psycho have in common? They're both Psychological horror movies. Omi, Joe and Egyir talk about psychological horror movies. The one's they've enjoyed, what makes a movie a psychological horror movie and what is wrong with Ari Aster and his crazy mind.
Women kicking ass on the big screen = Things we love to see. On this episode the trio who also had Pokua of Podak Purple fame join them talked about action movies that are women centric/women led. Movies such as Charlie's Angels, Mad Max: Fury Road, Set it Off and Kill Bill were discussed. They talked about how there is a need for such movies and why Zoe Saldana's Colombiana was a tad disappointing towards the end.
Sniff, sniff, snifff, wipes nose, takes a long breath in... On this episode the trio talk about movies that deal with drugs where there's usage and selling. Movies such as Blow, 21 and 22 Jump Street and more are talked about and why Johnny Depp seems to have a repertoire of movies he's acted in that deal with drugs. They talk specifically about creature features where the animal is the villain of the movie. The trio talk about how in a good chunk of these movies the animals are minding their business till the humans decide to go and find them or go and encroach on their territory. They talk about how there so many shark and sea based creature features there are and how Jaws set a precedent for Shark based movies and why Jaws freaked out Omi as a kid when he watched it.
