The Review That Review with Chelsey Donn & Trey Gerrald podcast is an absolute gem that I stumbled upon before it even had any episodes released. From the moment I heard about the concept, I was hooked. This podcast is led by two incredibly talented individuals who know how to put on a show. The premise of the podcast is original and captivating, and the presentation is fun and engaging. I have no doubt that this show is going to go far!
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the chemistry between Chelsey and Trey. They are a hilarious duo who work seamlessly together to bring their unique insights to each episode. Their banter and comedic timing are top-notch, making every episode incredibly entertaining. I also appreciate their attention to detail and thoughtfulness when dissecting online reviews. Despite their humor, they manage to provide insightful analysis and put themselves in the shoes of the reviewers.
If there's one downside to this podcast, it's that there just isn't enough of it! I can't get enough of Chelsey and Trey's hilarious commentary on online reviews. They have completely changed my perspective on how I judge reviews, and now I always consider their criteria when reading them. It's a shame that they only release one episode a week because I eagerly await each new episode.

The Queens take a bite out of nostalgia and end up with a mouthful of disappointment. In this episode, Trey presents a scathing 1 Star Yelp Review of NYC's iconic Magnolia Bakery—specifically the once-revered banana pudding. Is it still worthy of the Sex and the City fame, or has it lost all its flavor? Before the pudding meltdown, Chelsey logs a customer service complaint we all can relate to—being trapped in the purgatory of endless department transfers. Then it's time for the Review Breakdown, where Chef Earth E. spills the (spoiled?) tea on cupcakes that taste like chemicals, banana pudding made of “whipped air,” and the death of culinary pride.⏰ Timestamps:(00:01:00) Lodge A Complaint – Endless Customer Service Loops(00:06:48) Review Breakdown – 1 Star Yelp Review of Magnolia Bakery(00:16:09) The Verdict(00:18:00) Magnolia's Reply Breakdown(00:18:46) My Royal Highness – Perfect Parking Moment(00:22:14) On This Week's After Show Pod – Penguin Overhead Mask ReviewEnjoyed the episode?
