A Montgomery police officer has been arrested on misdemeanor charges stemming from multiple “swatting” incidents in Prattville. Officer Christopher Eugene Sanspree Jr., 23, is charged with six counts of falsely reporting an incident. Those charges are misdemeanor crimes. Prattville Police Chief Mark Thompson said in a press release investigators determined that Sanspree made several phone calls to Autauga County 911 to falsely report various incidents.

Did you ever consider that a fly swatter could be the source of so much happiness?  Well, I had never considered it... until this past week.  As I was tackling my list of things that needed to be done, a few pesky flies seemed to hover over me, and I became very annoyed.In today's episode, I want to share with you some of the little blaming thoughts that were taking place that are related to these pesky flies, and also to my husband, Nick.  What we may not realize is that these blaming thoughts, that sometimes sit on the back burners of our mind, may be having a negative effect on us as we wait around for "someone else," often our spouse, to attend to them and solve them.  This was the case for me and the pesky flies.  Listen in on this funny and profound story to hear about the amazing effect that heightened Thought Awareness can bring into our lives, as it moves us forward to a place of taking action and having little victories.  Do not underestimate the impact of these little victories.  They feel amazing!  And can give us the courage to continue pursuing even more of these little victories in our marriage and in our lives.

It aired over the CBS network almost daily from 1974 to 1982 and included 1,399 episodes. Episodes shared a time slot with the top-of-the-hour news summary. After subtracting the news and commercials, CBSRMT was left with a 45-minute format. The series was hosted, for the most part, by the late E.G. Marshall. The series creator and producer Himan Brown oversaw scripts and, though the daily format restricted the depth of sound effects, each show averaged 45 minutes. The writing was intelligent and the stories were thought-provoking. CBSRMT presented a bit of everything—science fiction, historical drama, ghost stories, horror—but the majority of episodes were murder mysteries, often with a supernatural bent. Because of the enormous volume of episodes, this archive could take up a LOT of time, to the detriment of other areas of this site. Therefore, I've decided to limit the archive to shows which best fit into the Plot Spot's chosen venue of sci-fi, horror, etc.

Three days after last Christmas, a 25-year-old Los Angeles man named Tyler Barriss allegedly called police in Wichita, Kansas, and pretended that he'd murdered his father and was holding hostages in a house near the city's downtown. Barriss thought the house belonged to an avid Call of Duty gamer he wanted to harass, but he was mistaken about the address. (WIRED has published a detailed account of the case.

I understand that it's easy to dismiss Tyler Barriss as a monster who should never be granted a platform to tell his own story. He took pleasure in terrorizing strangers with his hoaxes, and his alleged actions—calling authorities in Wichita, Kansas, and pretending that he was holding a family hostage—led to an innocent man being shot dead by police last December. Barriss' reaction to Andrew Finch's death has betrayed a chilling lack of empathy.
