Love Belvin is an author of contemporary adult romance novels with nearly thirty titles published to date. She prides herself on penning heavily flawed characters, whom aren't deemed ‘fairy tale-worthy' or found in your typical romance novel. She believes these characters are clients, who visit her fictional therapy practice in need of assistance to attain flourishing and sustainable love. She shares their journeys with the world through compelling and in-depth romance novels. Her heart beats unfairly for an eight-pound Shih Tzu named Nyssa Marie, her first and last pet. She loves to travel anywhere tropical and/or where there is rich pop culture. Belvin believes behind every union between a man and a woman is a story, and she would love to highlight and examine the romance portion of it somehow. Love is a native of the New York Tri-State Area and now lives in the Delaware Valley. She's an avid reader and enjoys dinner parties with her closest girlfriends. While she enjoys many things, nothing excites her more than curling up with a glass of wine and a good romance novel." All I'm saying is, you MIGHT want to go and buy this series. As an American feminist, author, social activist and African American woman, Hooks has been a party to inequality at its finest. Francesco Paladino is a classically trained actor, member of the Screen Actor’s Guild, and a writer of many things since the 1990s. He has been seen in major films, Netflix’s Orange is the New Black and a funny regular as “man on the street” on The Wendy Williams Show. Francesco has had an extensive stand-up comedy career opening for Gilbert Godfrey and Judy Gold. His many years of comedy led to his opportunities of motivational public speaking which then led him to becoming a certified life coach. Francesco is grateful for his colorful journey and regularly performs, writes, and cohosts the podcast Later This Week with Coco and Fran. This summer, he will be a featured live speaker at the national Mental Health America conference in Washington, DC; where he will address healing fear through laughter. You can find Francesco on IG here and he is true Nina Simone fan. His most recent post on her quote, " Freedom means NO FEAR" was riveting. Please see below for part of his writing: "Care about what people think, but don’t care about what EVERYONE thinks. You know who cares about you, but they are not always the same person who understands you. Parents are not always the best support systems. They seek stability and insurance over happiness and risk. Seek out mentors and leaders you can follow into the light. You will always find someone who gets you. Be honest when talking about fear. If you are afraid of something, identify it. “Being lazy” is not a real thing. Call yourself out on your excuses. Start saying “yes” even when the solution seems to not be available yet. Eventually fear gets the hint and moves to another state. They will come back some days and visit, but you can always decide how long they stay"- Francesco Paladino. Colleen Issa has been described as a “documentary photographer”, capturing her life experiences and the people around her for more than 30 years. Whether her lens is focusing on weddings, boudoir, portraiture, or any creative subject matter, she consistently demonstrates her unique perspective. Her ability to be a “voyeuristic fly on the wall” has enabled her to capture moments otherwise missed by the untrained eye. Colleen can also be heard discussing her photography on occasion as a regular co-host on the podcast Later This Week w/Coco & Fran, an eavesdropping podcast drenched in their weekly musings on life, culture, food, sex, and their more than 25-year friendship. Always weaving humor & sensitivity into whatever they are talking about from the controversial to the mundane. Why You Should Listen to This Episode: Her captivating testimony on how she is still actively working through her fear of failure. There is a story there for sure! Her Life Path Number- We had a good laugh over that one. Her large number of nail polishes.... You will never guess how much. Her photography can be seen on Instagram @colleenissaphotography and her website www.colleenissa.com. Her podcast can be found on Instagram @laterthisweek, and everywhere podcasts are available. I am launching a new segment, named “Dear Akilah”. Please send me an email with your questions, I do not care how crazy, outlandish or outrageous. ASK AWAY!!!! Kassandra Ramirez is a mother, daughter, aunt and a sister. In September of 2018, she went missing and has not been heard from or seen by her loved ones. There have been many stories as to what happened surrounding her disappearance; but, still no definite answer as why she has not been found. Kassandra had plans to meet with her mother Ingrid the weekend she went missing. It was Ingrid’s birthday weekend. Ingrid knows her daughter would never willingly not show up. Something happened. Please see the below article for more details on this case. If you have any information pertaining to the disappearance of Kassandra Ramirez, please contact: NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). There is also a Facebook page named: “Find Kassandra Ramirez”. If you know something, please say something. Her mother was gracious to share her testimony of strength, perseverance and faith with me over the course of this interview. Thank you for taking the time to listen to the podcast. You will want to “cozy”-up with some tea, coffee or WINE for this one! I had the wonderful opportunity to interview Jenn Caswell and Amy Kirby, the owners of a “Caz and Kozy”. They run this business as an interior design and professional-organizing profession; but, with a twist: Feng Shui. Please join us in this captivating, hilarious and spiritually enlightened conversation on how these two gorgeous women are making their mark in this world. Needless to say, I am still intrigued and cannot wait to work with these two ladies again in one capacity or another. I am not sure if you can tell from their voices alone; but, BOTH of these women are BEAUTIFUL. Whew. Love it. When Jen explained how she faces her fears and when Amy talked about why they started this business… pure fire. It got real… quickly. If you would like to work them, or see more of their essence please go to: Instagram: @_caz_and_kozy (please send a DM) Facebook: “Caz and Kozy” Email: CazandCozy@gmail.com Thank you for taking the time to listen to the podcast. How many times have you felt just out- of- wack? You know when you have that feeling of... " I JUST can't put my finger on it." Most of the time, I have learned, that we know we just do not know how to identify it. Trust me, I get it. Or on the other hand, we out there doing stuff just to do it... now THAT is a just uggghhhh... NOT THE BUSINESS. Smh. Walking down the wrong road sometimes might just be the biggest blessing you could have ever received, Yup, you read that right. For some of us, that is the only way we will learn.... fortunately...but... unfortunately. Tune in and let me know what you think? Have you ever been in a place like this before? Join me as I discuss taking a moment to “slow down” not stop. Sometimes it’s a simple as enjoying a cup of coffee uninterrupted. I don’t know about YOU... but I know I LOVE the sound of that. Lol. Perfection can be a damaging illusion. Get stuff done. Do it to the BEST of your ability and then move on. Life it to be LIVED honey. The excerpt I read is from my Soul Mediation that I wrote on my IG a while back: "To everything there is a season" I think it is relevant now too. Remember these words: "WAIT. Just wait. It's coming". #slaytheclutter Follow me at : IG: @akilahpeynado FB: Akilah Peynado Website: akilahpeynado.com I will try my best to be ON IT with "stairway chat" (IG Live) at some point during the day.
