This week's episode is with Sarah Doyle- a life & confidence coach, who has successfully created her own business 'the better life project.' Throughout this conversation, Sarah & I touched on various topics ranging from how to build confidence, become self-aware and create the life you desire. Sarah also touched on her own story, detailing the journey she has been on to date and how she now helps others to build various skills and traits which they can then use to live happier and more fulfilled lives. Before becoming a life coach, Sarah worked at the same job for years eventually reaching a point of 'enoughness', realising that it no longer fulfilled her. Upon realising this she details her perseverance in remaining within her job, so that she could establish that leaving was, in fact, the right option (often we can react instantaneously which can be great, but on acting such impulse we may realise later, that the decision made on impulse wasn't necessarily the best decision) and create a plan on what her next move was going to be. Welcome back listeners- this week I am releasing my conversation with Lauren Barrett, a twenty-three-year-old cancer survivor. To say that this conversation was both inspiring and humbling, would be an understatement and I can not thank Lauren enough for taking the time to sit with me and discuss her story. Lauren and I agreed before recording the podcast, the importance of creating awareness around a situation that so many people experience and endure day-to-day. We hoped that by sharing Lauren's story we could highlight the importance of conducting checks and knowing your body at all ages. So often we can think, 'that will never happen to me' or 'I will never experience something like that' but this podcast was such an eye-opening reminder to everyone, that anyone, at any age, can be subject to what Lauren underwent. Therefore, it is so important that we be as proactive as we can when it comes to our health. I have included below various links that may be of use to people who wish to conduct more regular checks but don't know how or simply forget from time to time. The application below enables one to set reminders every month if they like me, are someone who constantly forgets. Before asking Lauren on the podcast, what struck me most about Lauren's story was her age and her mindset. As a girl in her early twenties, living a very normal life, she was faced with something that some of us couldn't even bear to imagine but both the courage and strength she displayed throughout her journey was a testament to the resilient person that she is. Throughout this conversation, I was in awe of Lauren's strength, positivity and outlook on life. She thought me so much about the power of our minds and the importance of gratification. She reminded me that we always have something in our lives that we can be grateful for and when we can train our minds to see those things (even in the darkest of days), that is when we can truly harness and master the power of positivity. Just a little snippet on managing friendships, building confidence and handling stress. We have all experienced all three at some point, but very few of us know how to manage any of them effectively. Within friendships, we can struggle with boundaries or saying no. It can be tough to find those with whom you have a deep connection with and in fact, better your everyday. Instead, we may settle for those who bring us down and continue to make our lives difficult, all so we don't feel alone. But the fact is, sometimes periods of loneliness are inevitable if we are to thrive and find others who support and contribute to our journey of growth and development. In terms of confidence, self-doubt can often take over. We convince ourselves that we could never achieve or do X, Y or Z based on our perception of our abilities. But the fact is, we are capable of anything we set our minds to. It is merely about building confidence in order to execute the necessary action and maintain it for achieving our dreams. Stress can be something we all encounter and majority of the time it can be something quite unnecessary and avoidable. Thus, I divulge some useful tips which majorly helped me when it came to managing my stress and overcoming that overwhelming feeling we are all so familiar with when things become too much.

However, what I have learnt and what I am here to share today, is that we can start at any point. Any day, month or time that we so choose, is appropriate for achieving new goals. Moreover, any goal we should choose to strive towards, we can in fact achieve, provided we put concrete steps in place to do so. So often, I found the self-doubt would consume me and stop me from believing I could. But, once I overcame these self-limiting beliefs, I could achieve so much of what I'd previously thought was ‘impossible.' During the course of her PhD, Michelle came to recognize the very interesting physiology that we as women possess. Our bodies are essentially undergoing change all of the time, and there is little to no advice out there on how to handle such change. Because we are all so unique, we can all experience different issues from within, whether it be infertility, endometriosis, IBS etc. The list is endless. In experiencing such, we all require various different lifestyles, eating habits, supplements and help when it comes to managing our needs, and Michelle's business TheFitClinic is here to help. Michelle set up her business with the intention of providing help to those out there who need it in relation to achieving overall vitality. Michelle emphasized throughout the course of this conversation the need to be feeding our bodies with the essential nutrients and supplements so that we can thrive day to day. Just because we become immune to certain feelings from within, it does not mean that we should be experiencing such discomfort. There could be an array of issues occurring that we simply are unaware of or have normalised within us. So check out this plentiful conversation as we touch on further topics like mindful eating, vegetarianism, fertility, contraception and female health so you can see just how intertwined all of the mentioned topics are. Within this episode, we discuss how a lot of people live life simply getting by because they don't understand their thoughts, emotions or how they feel. In not being able to understand various different concepts and how their brain works, people can't gain control over their minds and thus struggle to control their life, but Ciara hopes to change this. Having featured on Ted Talks, Ciara has been very successful in conveying her message of how one decision can change your entire life. Having been very transparent about her own struggles with mental health in this conversation, Ciara hopes to bring awareness to the idea that we are not our thoughts and the negative thoughts we can often have of ourselves, are not a true or an accurate reflection of how the world sees us. Moreover, once you learn to control your mind and overcome such negative thoughts, you can achieve anything you set your mind to. Having made the decision to run 1000km, Ciara succeeded in doing so, proving to herself that anything is possible once you gain complete control of your mind and your thoughts. So have a listen, share the podcast & download it. I truly believe this conversation can help anyone out there who feels as though they're struggling, often times all we need to hear is that we are not alone in our experiences & in fact, the thoughts we do have can often be quite common. Sinead, throughout this conversation, offered significant insights into the benefits of yoga and what it is she loves so much about the practise, as well as this she discussed the importance of presence, slowing down & following your intuition. I also touched on my experience to date in regards to burn-out & reaching breaking point. We expanded a lot on society, and the generic ideations/ ambitions often imposed upon us by others, the idea of 'work hard and get a good job'- without considering if that job even is for you. We have become obsessed with constantly doing and never taking a moment to reflect and consider what it is we truly want from life. Moreover, we discussed the idea of presence and reverting to the simple things in life. As quite a materialistic society, we have lost touch with what matters most and brings true happiness day-to-day. I really hope you enjoy this conversation, as I must admit, I loved recording it with Sinead- hearing her insights, experiences and self-development work to date has been nothing short of admiring. Moreover, her honesty and transparency will be of great benefit to all listening as I believe she offered great advice in everyday experiences and encounters. So listen, download and share with all who you think will enjoy, wishing you notinhg but the best in life, SSS X.

Hello and welcome back to this week's episode of the podcast. I am so delighted to be sharing this conversation with you as it was one I thoroughly enjoyed, and feel you, too, will be able to take a lot from. This is part one of a two-part episode as Sinead, and I had so much to say on varying different topics. Sinead has a well-rounded background in psychotherapy & counselling and has so much to offer others. But more than that, she has approached her training with a very open mind enabling her to take full advantage of the healing powers of nature and become in touch with her highest self. Sinead likes to take a holistic approach within her work, recognizing that everyone's journey is different, and thus, their healing will be unique to them. Within this episode, Sinead was extremely transparent and honest about her experience with grief and how it is she slowly began healing herself from the loss of a loved one. Practices like meditation became huge in allowing her to heal, understand and manage her emotions. Lastly, within this episode, we also expanded on the power of nature and communities in terms of connection and healing. The simple things can bring us the greatest joy, hence why nature and connection can be so transformative in shifting our perspective and moods, enabling us to recognize the true beauty and miracle of life. So sit back and enjoy this knowledgeable, insightful conversation, I can guarantee that everyone will be able to take and learn something from all Sinead had to say. Wishing you nothing but the best in life, SSS x

S2E3- Sober Yoga Girl- What is your relationship with alcohol?

This week I am speaking with Alex McCrobs aka. Sober Yoga Girl- Our discussion centred heavily on alcohol, where we discussed Alex's relationship with alcohol throughout her life and the varying factors that influenced that relationship, including her environment and the people she surrounded herself with. As someone who has had to adjust her relationship with alcohol, I felt it important to bring attention to the impact it can have when we overindulge. Often we 'normalize' the amount we drink because those around us drink the same, but this does not guarantee that we have a 'healthy' relationship with alcohol. Often our mood and other aspects of our life can be unknowingly impacted by how much we drink. While Alex quit alcohol entirely, I like to minimise my intake to a healthy level- everyone's experiences and choices are different, but we must do what suits us and works for us within our lives. Since adjusting her relationship with alcohol, Alex has since created her own community and business, both of which centre on that which she's most passionate about- yoga. By locating herself in Bali, she has succeeded in creating an environment and a circle of people suited to her newfound love for life. We also touched briefly on Alex's experience with bipolar and various habits she has incorporated every day to minimize its effect on her- Check it out and give it a listen. Hello and welcome back to Episode Two of this season!! I chose this as my second episode because it was possibly one of my favourite podcasts to sit and record. The only way that I can describe Ciara is literally a wise head on young shoulders- being only twenty and having seen over thirty countries to date, she has acquired so much wisdom and insight into who she is, what she loves and where she is going in life. We had a very casual yet informative conversation on solo travelling, exercise and following your intuition when it comes to making decisions. I loved Ciara's introspection and honesty throughout the course of this conversation. Having, like most others, gone to college and got her degree, she now realises while she enjoyed it, it was not the course for her. Since then, she has chosen to follow her heart and learned to quit when things in life no longer serve her. Having such a deep awareness of who it is that she is as an individual has enabled her to prosper in all aspects of life. So give it a listen and see what it is you can take from Ciara's experiences. Whether you want to experience solo travel, feel as though you are trapped or have difficulties in knowing who you are- this is the podcast for you. Below I have included a book review I did on a book we discussed within this podcast- The Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris. Check it out- Books – SoulfulSavvySister

Leisa Peterson is the founder of Wealth Clinic as well as a very successful author of the book- Mindful Millionaire. I really enjoyed this conversation as Leisa divulged into all aspects on how she lives a life of ‘financial comfort.' The conversation ranged from entrepreneurship to investment and to real estate. However, Leisa also emphasises the importance of values and how we must be aware enough within ourselves to align our spending and our professions with the life we desire. We will never feel fulfilled if we are forever chasing money or materialistic items, it is only when we discover what it is we truly want or desire and pursue that, that we can achieve alignment within our lives. The Tax Duo spoke at length about employee tax, self-employed tax, rental income tax, tax incurred on shares and the varying tax implications for people located in Dubai. I believe this conversation gave a great foundational base for anyone who may be lost when it comes to tax. Tax is a complex topic, and people can often be unaware of the basics. However, as is emphasised in this podcast, tax is the responsibility of all of us as working individuals and therefore, we can not afford to ignore it. This conversation included a variety of scenarios and outlined what tax may be incurred in each instance; therefore, no matter who is listening to this, I believe everyone will be able to take something.
