Welcome to the Widowers Journey Podcast. Our host is Herb Knoll, author of the book The Widower's Journey. This episode is a personal message from Herb, describing his own journey, in which he discovered that there was little help available for grieving widowers. In the words of a bookstore clerk who Herb had asked what was available for a new widower, the clerk replied, "Mister, I don't have a damn thing for you!" Herb set out to change that, writing his book, The Widower's Journey, and sponsoring a private Facebook (Men Only) support group to help men who had lost their spouses or life-partners. There are now several hundred widowed men in the group from all over the world, who are joined by subject matter experts and empathetic supporters.
