Today's guest is author, speaker, and positive entrepreneur Jesse Brisendine. Early last week I noticed that Jesse was going through a life altering situation with his partner Amanda. I asked him to come on the show to share his story with The Next Room audience. Amanda recently started to have some headaches. They would come and go and they didn't seem like anything, major. As they persisted they attributed it to stress. Eventually Amanda went to the urgent care, and they said that they too thought it might be stress related and prescribed her some meds. She then started to lose almost like her spatial relationship. As she was trying to write on a whiteboard, she described it as the the pen kind of went all the way away from the whiteboard. She thought it was strange but because it went away quickly she dismissed it. On May 19th Amanda had just finished a hike and afterward as she was standing in line with groceries it felt as through her right leg was giving out. Once she made it back home, the same thing happened again with her whiteboard and pen. After discussing with close family members they knew Amanda needed to get to the E.R. Once at the hospital the doctor put Amanda through a series of tests. He ordered an MRI and a CT Scan. When the doctor came in to speak with them he explained that this was the worst part of his job. He told them that Amanda had a brain tumor. When they asked what that meant for her. The doctor said that it was the start of a very long journey and that her life would never be the same. Jesse and Amanda's journey will inspire you and challenge you to think differently about being in the moment. Jesse's final observation today is powerful... He said; "Time is not infinite, it is finite, but what I'm really realizing is that when we embrace the finiteness of of time, we create a space for the infinite. And that's really, I think, the magic of life. So, what do you want to do with the time you have left?" Help Amanda in her fight- Go Fund Me Learn more about your ad choices. Susan, your host, welcomes Jesse Brisendine to today's episode. Jesse is an award-winning speaker and best-selling author. Jesse Brisendine is a world-renowned expert who works with individuals and organizations to move beyond their limitations, unlock their greatness, & build their Camelot.  Business leaders, Hollywood celebrities, entrepreneurs, medical professionals, and educators have utilized Jesse's services to reduce stress, increase productivity, improve communication, elevate happiness, experience more daily joy, enhance company culture, build thriving businesses, and live fulfilling lives. Jesse has helped to mentor over 4,000 people on their healing journeys following the loss of a loved one. Jesse is a big fan of buffets, professional wrestling, and finding the silver lining in any situation.   Key Takeaways: Jesse explains why he firmly believes there is a purpose to pain and that within pain, you can always find purpose. Jesse shares how he found purpose through pain in his life. Jesse and Susan talk about the lonely feeling when grieving when you want the world to stop and just join how you feel. After one year of losing his friend, Jesse also lost his father; he became completely overwhelmed by his grieving and realized he needed to change his life narrative based on resilience and finding the light in the darkest moment of his life.  Jesse began the one-year 1000 Challenge, one year dedicated to healing. Susan reminds us there is no normal way of grieving nor a timeline for grief; grief your own way, let yourself feel! Do not identify with your grief. It is not who you are; it is how you feel. You don't have to apologize for how you are grieving. Jesse emphasizes the value of compassion and empathy. Choose the life you want to live after loss. You can be the living legacy of the people you have lost. Life is like legos; you can build something really neat that can easily be knocked down; we can feel it is broken, but it is only displaced.    Resources Tendrilsofgrief.com Email Susan: susan@tendrilsofgrief.com If you find this episode helpful, please donate    Seed for the Soul: Living as the Source of Who You Are, Chuck Hillig   Meet Jesse Brisendine Listen to Jesse's TED TALK Visit Jesse's Website Follow Jesse on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn Grab your free copy of the Mindset Mastery Blueprint

In this episode, I speak with Jesse Brisendine (@jessebrisendine), a best-selling author, award-winning speaker, and world-renowned expert who, in his words, works with individuals and organizations to "move beyond their limitations, unlock their greatness, & build their Camelot." We highlight different kinds of supports that can help us navigate immense heartache when someone we love dearly dies. We discuss personalized rituals and how they can help us create habits and structure that support us through grief. Jesse also generously shares about a unique community-based grief ritual he created (the Sunrise/ Sunset Project) as well as various personal rituals he created to support him in his own grief process. We also talk about ways we can integrate presence with action to honor and maintain a connection with those we have lost. Importantly, we name the complexity of experiencing joy in the midst of grief, which can bring up both fear and guilt, and how we can practice living out the coexistence of our full spectrum of emotions, which isn't something we are necessarily taught how to do. We also highlight the importance of collective healing and ways to educate our community on how they can best support us in times of grief. Throughout, we talk about the importance of practicing more kindness with ourselves in all times, but especially when we are grieving. “Your world is full of everyone else trying to be someone else.  Just be you. Don't be afraid to magnify that piece of you that's uniquely you because it can take you to some incredibly extraordinary places.” -Jesse Brisendine   We have another incredible guest this week: Jesse Brisendine, host of A Handful of Hope Podcast and creator of Zero Limits Coaching. Jesse helps his clients weave together success and fulfillment, and that’s what we’re going to talk about today. Maybe you still remember when you were in school analyzing The Great Gatsby or memorizing all the tricky math equations. After spending all those years, it’s funny how we barely remember anything at all. What’s not laughable is, how after graduation, we have to throw those concepts away and start learning how life works. Now, the hard work of unlearning some of the things we were programmed to believe and discovering who we are and what we want begins.    In this episode, we learn how to avoid default drift patterns and empower ourselves. Jesse focuses on two things of which ironically, act as our superpower and archenemy at the same time: our thoughts and our emotions. While growing up, we learned that we must take control of our situation, which is mission impossible in itself (unless we are agent 007!). Rather than taking over the things we have little or no control over, Jesse shares how we can show accountability in the emotions resulting from those circumstances. He also talks about how we can extract a part of our pain and use it to create a picture of our vision and purpose in life. We want to live a meaningful life and be able to teach our children how to do the same. With that, you may be interested in Jesse’s advice on how to be an active observer and participant in your kid’s life.         If your journey is towards a happier and more fulfilled you, click the link below and join the conversation: https://jayrooke.com/114-Jesse-Brisendine   Check out my website: https://jayrooke.com/    Follow me on: Facebook LinkedIn Twitter Book for a  JayWalking Session   Episode Highlights: 02:22 Your Greatest Superpowers and Archenemy 08:18 The Pursuit of Happiness 13:24 Your Role in Emotional Accountability 26:02 Launch Your Own Rocket!  33:55 What’s Your Why?  45:24 Parents- Be Active Observers  50:21 Win the Emotion Wrestling 56:16 Be You!

MONDAY NIGHT CALL: PART 2: Getting UNSTUCK in the YOUNG Ranks! ** NOW WHAT?** You know why you’re stuck at Sr. Star or Exec – HOW on EARTH do you move forward into NETWORK TAPPING? If you’re suffering from ONE KIT WONDERS and nobody is on Essential Rewards, it’s time to change gears. These things happen for a reason, it’s the way you’re presenting YL to new people. Yes, it’s much easier to blame it on crappy prospects and team members BUT that’s not what’s happening here. YOU have to change what you’re doing unless you’d like to keep selling kits to 1000’s of people and get ZERO repeat orders. You may have heard me say “People are stuck for 3 reasons”: *Not putting in enough time *Lacking skills, aka: doing it wrong *Mental / emotional barriers #1 is up to you to fix. #3 is for Jesse Brisendine who’s coming on again in a few weeks. (SUPER PUMPED!) #2 … that is what we are going after on this webinar! I’ve been stuck and I’ve grown exponentially – exponential growth is waaaay more fun! On this webinar I will show you: The steps to getting deep into people’s networks. Hosting classes that get people to show up. How to stop selling oils in a way the leads to ONE time purchases. Talking about the business so you don’t sound like a used car salesperson. THE ULTIMATE fastest way to duplication that you probably won’t want to do. COME LIVE, there will be no free rebroadcast. This webinar is going to be added to the Premium Membership of DiamondFactoryTraining.com. So if you're a member you can watch it as many times as you like!!! Still on special, Monty hasn't gotten around to change it back to $137 (STILL!).

Monday Night Call: Jesse Brisendine 2017 is YOUR year Jesse Brisendine is a BIG DEAL. He is an internationally known coach, fitness guru, and author. His clients include celebrities and Fortune 500 companies (yes, really). He's coming on THIS call to help YOU live the life you are destined to live and LOVE. Make your resolutions reality this year and get on this call. Why is he coming on the call for you? I met Jesse and a Mastermind last Fall in Vegas. He was asking me about Young Living and the greatest struggles you have that keep you paralyzed, stuck, and never living the life you desire. I asked him, "Why do people have super good intentions and DREAMS but NEVER even get past the starting line?" Jesse replied, "He said there is ONE root cause that keeps people stuck where they are." That's when I invited him on this New Years Call, because it's the PERFECT way to start you our right in 2017- getting rid of that ONE thing! A few sneak peaks: When you talk to someone about Young Living and they say no, what does that really mean? Why BELIEVE oil is one of the BEST oils to help you with reaching your goals Why you see other people succeed and you do the same thing with ZERO results. How you can be self sabotaging yourself into FAILURE in ANY area of your life and the FIRST step to fixing it If you cannot sponsor anyone or you have no business builders, whats really going on
