Podcaster/voice actress/singer Amy Sinha beams aboard to highlight the beyond addicting Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power's first season on Amazon Prime! Were the Elves always the Star Trek Vulcan equivalent of the movies/books like they are essentially here? Why was it blacklisted by angry fanboys before it had even come out? What did they do well by highlighting the Second Age of Tolkien's fantasy world regardless of rights to Silmarillion and while trying to avoid retelling the same story already explored in the movie versions? Is Isildur essentially the Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader of the LOTR world or just a similar tragic hero-turned-traitor? And more deep focused reflection and recapping of the quotes, battles and other eye-catching themes in this binge watch! AMY SINHA, a vocalist, presenter, voice-over artist, and entrepreneur from Wales, joined us to discuss her career, conquering illness, YouTube channel, music output, and MORE! However, this also marked the beginning of her love of music and performance. A difficult and mature genre that touched Amy very deeply. Possibly because the complexity of this style reflected the events that were occurring in her life during the initial stages of her newfound developing passion. Amy experienced some rare medical conditions in her early years, being declared as being one out of only 5 children like her in the U.K at the time. She had developed cataracts in both her eyes leaving her almost blind, and then diagnosed with a rare nerve condition which meant she was unable to feel hot, cold or superficial pain. Due to this nerve condition, she also developed Osteoarthritis leaving her almost wheelchair bound and caused her growth to stop completely. The ongoing traumas of her early childhood inevitably played a major role in suppressing Amy's confidence throughout her life, especially being so short during an age when all a child wants to do is “fit in”, and certainly not stand out because they looked so different." www.amysinha.com/

The ongoing traumas of my early childhood inevitably played a significant role in suppressing my confidence throughout my life. But I graduated from Leeds College of Music with a B.A. (Hons) in Music, specializing in Jazz. I released my debut album in 2012 called "A Sin With Love," then three more singles after that. I also released two singles with a New York record label. In the latter part of 2019, I decided to explore something different and embarked on a sidestep into voice-overs, voicing for radio, corporate events, international voicemail, businesses, animation, and experimental poetry.I have a YouTube channel where I have interviewed musicians, such as Ronnie Scott's saxophonist, Derek Nash, Rat Pack legend Buddy Greco, and Clint Eastwood's son, Kyle Eastwood. At the start of 2021, I was chosen to participate and have now completed a business acceleration growth course run by the Welsh government. At an early age, jazz artist, Amy Sinha faced difficult medical circumstances – cataracts in both eyes leaving her almost blind, a rare nerve condition, and osteoarthritis. Her confidence was shaken, but not broken. Pursuing her dreams of music may have appeared impossible to some, but not to Amy. She continued to pursue her passion for jazz music and delved into the world of doing voiceovers. She is a pillar of hope showing the world that despite adversities, including disabilities, anything is possible when you believe and put your mind to it. Tune in to hear her story. Join me as I chat with Amy Sinha, a British Asian jazz vocalist, songwriter, presenter and now voice over artist from Wales, in the UK. Her story is quite the unique one, but through the constant struggle and heaviness, every challenge has created new ways to help educate & inspire at least one person to other possibilities of ‘normal' in this world. She developed many rare conditions and disabilities from 1 year old. The first being cataracts leaving her almost blind, the 2nd being a rare nerve condition called ‘sensory neuropathy type 2, meaning I can't feel hot, cold, or pain anywhere on my skin. There were only 5 like her in the UK. It also led to her almost being left in a wheelchair and stopped growing at the age of 11. It helps to keep in mind that this was during the 80s where social media and fb groups were not available to reach out to. She has been singing since childhood, but all these disabilities affected her confidence as you can imagine. But despite the doctors not knowing how long she'd live for, and after nearly having her colon removed due to ulcerated colitis, she graduated from Music College with a degree in Music (Jazz), She also released her own album and a few singles and collaborated with a record label in New York thanks to social media. She also tried to tackle her lack of confidence by interviewing musicians that came to Swansea. Amongst them included Jazz musicians Buddy Greco and Kyle Eastwood, Clint Eastward's son. During the latter part of 2019, she ventured into the world of Voice Overs and earlier this year embarked upon and completed a Business Growth Acceleration Course, winning The Accelerator Award Helpful Links www.amysinha.com --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/chatsfromtheblogcabin/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/chatsfromtheblogcabin/support
Smash the subscribe button! Share with your friends and leave a review! In the 56th episode of Be Real, I will be joined by Amy Sinha, a voice-over artist, singer, and presenter. She has won the “Accelerator Award” for inspiring people. Amy experienced some rare medical conditions in her early years, being declared as being one out of only 5 children like her in the U.K at the time. She had developed Cataracts in both her eyes leaving her almost blind, and then diagnosed with a rare nerve condition which meant she was unable to feel hot, cold, or superficial pain. Due to this nerve condition, she also developed Osteoarthritis leaving her almost wheelchair-bound and causing her growth to stop completely. The ongoing traumas of her early childhood inevitably played a major role in suppressing Amy's confidence throughout her life, especially being so short during an age when all a child wants to do is “fit in”, and certainly not stand out because they looked so different.Amy's continuous challenges in her daily life will always remain ‘real', but with a ‘work in progress' attitude, an ability to laugh at herself and to laugh in general, a continuous evolving perspective of her mind, and a loving supportive personal environment, Amy always has a positive perspective on life and loves socializing with different, interesting people, never letting her limitations affect any of her engagements or working life! She is renowned for being professional, honest, friendly, upbeat, and having a fantastic sense of humor. Her key talents include memorizing words within a fast time frame, making people feel at ease very quickly, determination to achieve close to perfection ‘as she sees it', patience in learning how things work, and the ability to think ‘outside the box.If there's one thing I'd like you to listen to, it's her positivity and courageous mindset. She didn't let her disability be her disability. I am so honored to interview such a brave and resilient woman!Make sure you listen to these tracks:04:37 - A rare medical condition where temperatures can not be felt05:58 - “I had Cataracts at the age of one.”12:35 - Getting out from the dark and negative space16:00 - Fought against low self-esteem and conquering the world18:13 - “I did get a life coach.... ‘Cause you can't really bounce off yourself.”20:41 - “We all have the choice to live in the present, or the past, or to be happy is a choice. www.amysinha.com Born in South Wales, UK, Amy, the youngest of three sisters, was submerged in music from an early age. She entered her first talent contest aged six, singing “Somewhere over the Rainbow”, terrifying moments as she could barely reach the microphone. However, this also marked the beginning of her love of music and performance. Inspired by such a musical upbringing, Amy studied classical piano and singing, but also developed an intimate love affair with Jazz in her teens. The ongoing traumas of her early childhood inevitably played a major role in suppressing Amy's confidence throughout her life, especially being so short during an age when all a child wants to do is “fit in”, and certainly not stand out because they looked so different. In what Amy describes as a ‘lightbulb' moment surrounding her emotions, Amy attended Gorseinon College where she studied Music and Music Technology A-levels. Amy became coined with the description as “The Jazz Singer” and encouraged to pursue her love of Jazz more seriously, and where she also attended with fellow Classical singer, Katherine Jenkins. With the continuous support of her family and new found ‘tree' friends (A story she will most happily explain whenever asked

This week's adventure is taken in the company of Amy Sinha, who has been a singer almost since the day she was born and went through a lot of difficulty with medical conditions and being quite small and all the things that come along with the confidence of being out front and being a jazz singer. She released an album of self-composed songs in 2012 and has produced songs in the pop/country genre as well as jazz, works with charities, works as a voice over artist. Her mantra is ‘the impossible is always possible.' KEY TAKEAWAYS If you’re really serious about something and you really want it to happen, you have to keep pushing, and crafting, and moulding what you want and not just putting your thoughts out there but making people aware of who you are. If nobody knows who you are nobody’s going to come to you I wrote poetry but I never thought I could write my own songs, people would write me songs to sing – which is what jazz singers do – but there was something about that that didn’t sit well with me, so I decided to sit down at the piano and wite something and it was a surprise that I came up with a song, so I wrote and recorded an album! The music industry is very male dominated and it was hard work and I spent a lot of my 20s and 30s depressed, it wasn’t the best environment to be in and I just wanted to get out of the industry, which is why I started in voice over. The hardest thing is to get over your own limiting belief, you have to recognise it and say “it’s OK, it’s going to be hard, but I’ll take it one day at a time and hopefully by the end of it I’ll get further than where I was”. If you go through something you don’t always appreciate it, whereas others from an outside perspective say “wow, that’s amazing what you’ve done and achieved.” You don’t always see the beauty and enormity of something you’re doing, especially on creative things. It’s good to have an outside point of view. BEST MOMENTS ‘Anything you want to happen can happen, but you’ve got to put yourself out there.’ ‘When I’ve got the theme the song just seems to come.’ ‘I recognised I was camera shy, so I started interviewing musicians because you can’t get away from cameras in the music industry.’ ‘There’s no room for self-doubt – enough people are going to do that for you.’ ‘Happiness is what we aspire to be every day, but it’s not possible. I’ll settle for happy some of the time when I can get there.’ VALUABLE RESOURCES The Adventures Of Self Instagram https://www.facebook.com/The.Adventures.of.Self ABOUT THE GUEST Born in South Wales, UK, Amy was submerged in music from an early age, entering her first talent contest aged six, singing “Somewhere over the Rainbow”.
