Have you seen the news? Manchester City are losing football matches. A lot of them. They lost to Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday, their seventh defeat in 10 matches across all competitions. They lost to Bournemouth, Sporting Lisbon, Brighton, Tottenham (twice), Liverpool. They've won just once since October 27.It's almost unspeakable turmoil for a Pep Guardiola team, unprecedented in his career across the Premier League, the Bundesliga, and La Liga. On the question of how the champions of England can dig themselves out of it, the Catalan does not seem to have the answers. He was clawing at his own nose. Now he's shell-shocked on the sideline.Of course, no City scandal can compare to Manchester United's state of affairs. They've been a disaster for a decade, cycling through players and managers and—just recently—sporting directors without much to show for it. That FA Cup victory over these opponents back in May seems a long ways away now, and the decision to re-hire Erik ten Hag on the back of it has been confirmed as a calamitous one.Now they've got another promising young coach in Ruben Amorim, but he's fast discovered the scale of the task here. The Red Devils have lost two on the bounce and slipped to 13th in the Premier League. Considering the sheer amount of money spent, the players trotting out onto that Old Trafford pitch are simply not good enough. This Sunday, they'll trot out across town at the Etihad, and their best hope is that their opponents are in their own kind of disarray.Joining us to preview this peculiar Manchester derby is Adam Monk, a presenter for FourFourTwo, DAZN, and BBC Manchester who's a devout City fan.If you're enjoying The Football Weekend, please leave us a rating and review! It will help spread the good word. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

James has worked on films such as Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and shows such as Last of the Summer Wine, Doctors, Wheeler Dealers. He currently, has a show called The Inflight Food Trip which recently launched on Amazon Prime in 2020.In this show, James talks about how it all started when his parents took a call from BBC Manchester when he was just 10 years old. When the BBC was looking for a supplier of live fish for a then relatively unknown TV show known as 'Red Dwarf. This moment of happenstance sent James on a journey of discovery into the world of film and television. Some of the many takeaways from this episode include:The things we love as a child, give us clues to the things that could make us happy as adults. James was lucky enough to continue on that path, but many of us forget what lit us up inside. How learning your craft and working your way up is part of the journey. But that in doing the work and absorbing everything on the way, you will become a well-rounded expert in your niche! How important it is as new business owners do not have all of your eggs in one basket and be reliant on one client. Stamford Chidge and Jonathan Kydd join Johnny Burrow to look back at Chelsea's frustrating draw against Burnley and look ahead to Sunday's crunch match against Man Utd.Liam Twomey, Chelsea correspondent for ESPN joins us on the phone to report on the Press Conference with Maurizio Sarri. We discuss the importance of the Man Utd v Chelsea match; get an injury update and discuss what Sarri had to say about Liam's question to him on Chelsea's poor away results against the top six this season. Also, what did Sarri think about Eden Hazard not being selected for the PFA's Team of the Season. The 2-2 draw at home to Burnley was undoubtedly a 'Game of Two Halves' with two great goals by Chelsea interspersed with some terrible defending to concede two poor goals. Burnley’s dark arts made life difficult for Chelsea but is it a valid excuse and should the referee take action? Why can’t Sarri make effective in-game changes? Is Chelsea’s squad good enough? Can Sarri improve them?Hudson-Odoi ruptures his achilles and is out for maybe 6 months. What will the impact be on Chelsea's run in? Will the Bayern move be in doubt? How will it impact Hazard’s move to Real Madrid and will Hudson-Odoi come back the same player? In the race for the top four, Chelsea, Arsenal & Utd are all looking bad as each other but can Chelsea still make the top 4? Chidge's spreadsheet and prediction skills provide the answers.Previewing Man Utd v Chelsea does the season all boil down to this match? Do we really see Utd losing three in a row? Do we really see Chelsea getting a result when they need to? Will Sarri bottle it and play Hazard as false 9 again? We get 'The Opposition View' from Jack Ronson from BBC Manchester and ask him if Utd jumped the gun in making Ole Gunnar Solksjaer permanent Utd manager? Is Utd’s squad not good enough or is their attitude to blame for their poor recent performances? Are their similarities in both Chelsea & Utd’s decline? And finally how does Jack see the match going and what's his score prediction? We wrap up by discussing how we see Utd v Chelsea going and reveal our score predictions and reveal the answer to our new Chelsea Fancast quiz: 'Chidge & Chad's Chelsea Challenge' (courtesy of @ChelseaChadder) which this week is "Who are the last 10 Chelsea players to score against Man Utd?"Support the Chelsea FanCast and become a Patron:Become a Patron!Chelsea FanCast is broadcast on Love Sport Radio every Friday from 7.00-9.00 pm.
