A story that comes out of nowhere from Italian transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà is that former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri was offered a 3 year contract to take over as manager of Nottingham Forest, and therefore replacing current boss Nuno after less than 4 months in charge. Maurizio Sarri who left his role as Lazio manager on the 13th March, after a poor run of form, was according to Alfredo Pedullà a target for Forest to take immediate control of the first team. The report also goes on to explain how Forest offered Sarri a lucrative 3 year deal and the promise of a transfer war chest in the summer. If this story is to believe, does this suggest that the club is not happy with current manager Nuno and is looking to replace him before to season is finished. Or were Forest testing the water with a well known and respect manager like Sarri, to see if they could lure him to The City Ground. Let us know if you believe this story to be true or is this just all paper talk during the international break. Don't forget to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE to Forest Fan TV. Learn more about your ad choices. Hello Rank Squad! It's tough out there as a manager. You can be winning trophies and be the designated Chosen One one minute, and then on the verge of losing your job the next. It's tough, it's brutal, but it's the way football works, so we wanted to revisit an old staple and take a look at some of the managers under the cosh this season, and what the future holds for them. We visit Jose Mourinho at Roma, Erik ten Hag at Manchester United, Maurizio Sarri at Lazio, Sean Dyche at Everton, Andoni Iraola at Bournemouth, and Maurice Steijn at Ajax, to take a look at what their situations are right now and assess whether they have the potential to turn things round at their respective clubs. Before that though, we take a look back at last week's episode and how the teams we discussed have fared since, and in our Hot Takes section this week, Saber from Sydney throws around an idea as to how to stop time-wasting and make football more efficient. It's Ranks!

Part 1 - Mina Rzouki on Napoli following a 0-0 with Bologna and Victor Osimhen's spat with manager Rudi Garcia after being subbed off. Mina answers the following question from Chronicles Tifosi subscriber Daniel Bartolini: Hello, team. First off, I've been enjoying the new format. The back and forth short segments have been fun. It's like getting to listen in on someone's answering machine. To my main question: is Rudi Garcia's biggest task at Napoli getting this team to understand his system, or is it getting this team to forget last year? Early on, it seems like some players are playing through dips in confidence, some players are trying to figure out the system, and some players just sort of look…off. As a fan, I miss Spalletti (so much), but also want to give Garcia a fair shake. Where do you see the biggest areas of concern so far? Thank you! Also Milan, and Pioli's comments from last week about playing well for short periods, and the criticism they have received recently. Are they too Leao-dependent? Part 2 - Nicky Bandini worries for Napoli after Victor Osimhen's outburst at manager Rudi Garcia. Wojciech Szczęsny's struggles in goal for Juventus in their loss against Sassuolo. Juventus' international break has been suddenly dominated by off-field issues, but their first game in two weeks sees a direct rival for the top four roll into Turin this weekend. **NOTE: This episode was recorded before the news of Paul Pogba failing a doping test and Leonardo Bonucci taking legal action against Juventus due to being frozen out of the squad.** On Episode 170 of The Old Lady Speaks Podcast, we discuss: Juventus are back from the international break. Isn't that exciting?! Juve does have a potentially big injury concern involving Federico Chiesa, who had to leave Italy camp and head back to Turin late last week due to reported muscle fatigue. Lazio has had an interesting start to the season — which means trying to predict which version of Maurizio Sarri's team that will show up Saturday is awfully tough. Juve have, at least recently, had success against Lazio, but their new tactics might be a little bit different from how they've beaten Sarri's side in the past. Hello Rank Squad! We're back with one of our favourite episodes, discussing some of the best young footballers in the game on the back of the Golden Boy award handed out last week to Barcelona's teen sensation Gavi. To make sure it's differentiated from our Best Teenagers episode a while back though, we wanted to look at some of the notable omissions from this year's list that you will want to keep an eye on for next year. We talk Southampton's new midfield anchor, a Dutch superstar lighting up the Eredivisie after some high profile moves, a German coming back from a serious injury, Barcelona's latest left-back and Borussia Dortmund's starboy at centre-forward. There's also Things We Love, where we get hyped for the World Cup and give a little time to Maurizio Sarri's silky Lazio; a Melon of the Week segment with a focus on the Welsh capital; and a Gibberish which includes some stories out of Sam's latest hobby. It's Ranks! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
