Consolidation! In this episode, we dive into EMWD's recent acquisition of the City of Perris' water and sewer systems. Hear from the team behind the transition as we explore the ins and outs of system consolidation, regional impacts, and the behind-the-scenes details that only an agency that's been through it can truly explain.
Was geschah hinter diesen Mauern? In this episode of Beyond Sets and Reps, I connect with University of Virginia former running back Perris Jones to discuss his remarkable journey through adversity and the lessons he's learned along the way. Perris opens up about his academic and athletic experiences, including earning three degrees and overcoming a career-threatening spinal injury sustained during a game against the University of Louisville. He shares the emotional and psychological impact of the injury, as well as his remarkable recovery, which he attributes to the support of his family, coaches, and medical staff. Perris also reflects on the importance of teamwork, mentorship, and staying resilient in the face of challenges. He emphasizes his desire to inspire others by creating a nonprofit called "No Stars" to help young athletes reach their full potential, regardless of their perceived status or ranking. The episode concludes with a discussion on his plans to launch a podcast with his roommate, Michael Hollins, to provide a platform for ordinary people to share their extraordinary stories, and his continued passion for helping others as a motivational speaker. Shout out to our podcast sponsors, Sorinex and EliteForm, for making these episodes possible!

Are you restless at the thought of fluctuating interest rates and the impact on your hard-earned investments? Fear not. Here, we journey through the intricate lens of the global investment landscape, diving deep into its ebbs and flows with our guest, Daniel Perris, a portfolio manager with a keen eye on historical trends. We tackle the paradigm shift that has swept through the business world in the last four decades, highlighting how declining interest rates have reshaped the ties between businesses and investors. Perris shares his expert insights on the profound role of dividends in long-term wealth development and questions the growing preference for tech-centric investments. Strap in as we scrutinize the 40-year paradigm's imminent end and the consequential reshuffling of the investment environment. From the unnerving implications of soaring interest rates to political adjustments and disruptions in global supply chains, nothing is left untouched. Perris and I also ponder the future of investments in an environment inching closer to 'normalcy.' We dissect the rise of passive investing, ETFs, and mutual funds, alongside the escalating risk rates and even the unnerving prospect of negative real rates. Finally, we delve into the captivating world of dividend investing during periods of market volatility and ambiguity. As we tackle the importance of managing dividend risk amidst a low-yield market and the potential influences of geopolitical dynamics on dividend quality stocks, you will find the tools and confidence to navigate these unchartered waters. We close our insightful journey with a look at the shift towards the US market, the potential for tech companies to start paying dividends, and the invaluable role of dividends and balance sheets in the current economic climate. So join us, and let's navigate the treacherous yet rewarding world of dividend investing together.ANTICIPATE STOCK MARKET CRASHES, CORRECTIONS, AND BEAR MARKETS WITH AWARD WINNING RESEARCH. With the success of the Florida Bass experiment conducted in San Diego beginning in the late 1950s and through the early 1970s, California biologists turned to another bass sub-species for one of their new lakes. This new lake, Lake Perris, would be devoid of cover and have drastic water-level changes over the course of a season, not conducive conditions for rearing largemouth. Because of this, the DFG looked to the Alabama spotted bass to fill a niche. Spotted bass were known to spawn in deeper waters than their big-mouthed cousin and didn't need the cover associated with typical bass waters. They also provided great sport to the angler. In 1973, CADFG started talks with the Alabama Fisheries Department and set up a trade: Florida strain largemouth from California for spotted bass from Lewis Smith Lake, Alabama. By 1974, the lake was stocked with 200 spotted bass from the lake that held the world record. Within five years, this second black bass experiment proved to be on track to set a new world record. Eighteen year old Colleen Perris had the world at her fingertips and couldn't wait to chase down her dreams whether they led to Hollywood or American Idol, she was game. Then, on a lazy Saturday afternoon her cell phone rang and she quickly left the house. She has never been seen again.Six days later her car was found in a strip mall parking lot, resting in a space beside an abandoned fast food restaurant. Her purse was inside, though her wallet and phone were missing and bad weather had completely erased any forensic evidence from the exterior. It was another bright avenue that terminated in a dead end.For more than twenty years Colleen's parents have fought to discover the truth of her fate. Friends, family and the community as a whole came together to pass out fliers, raise rewards and bring awareness to he vibrant and loving young woman's terrible disappearance. Police were left with the belief that Colleen had been a victim of foul play. The only question was: had it been a random encounter or a planned crime carried out and executed by someone she trusted, maybe even a family member. One thing is for certain, whoever called Colleen's phone that Saturday afternoon might hold the answers to this mystery.Sponsored by: FabFitFun!
