Cody Alexander AFCA We caught up with Cody Alexander at AFCA and sat down with hit at the Catapult booth to recap what we saw in 2022 as well as what he expects to trend in 2023. In this episode, @NinosCorner discusses the comparisons between newly-retired NFL Quarterback, Philip Rivers and former Texas Longhorn Quarterback Sam Ehlinger. The comparisons are not based on their talent. It's more based upon their status within their respective organizations. Both have some of the best individual statistics, if not the best, for their teams. Rivers leads in every quarterback category in Charger history, and Ehlinger is second in every passing category to only Colt McCoy. Both played great football; however, neither were able to produce any championships for their organizations. Rivers never won a Super Bowl or AFC Championship. Ehlinger was never able to bring Big XII Championship or CFP appearance to Texas. In my opinion, their careers, from an expectation standpoint, parallel each other. Let me know what you think. Year one of the Bowl Championship Series brought high drama to the sport of college football, and all eyes were on the Big XII Championship Game in St. Louis as #3 Kansas State hoped to clinch a national championship berth against #10 Texas A&M. This was just the third conference championship game for the Big XII and it would deliver a classic. Michael Bishop and these Wildcats had cruised to an 11-0 record and needed one upset ahead of them to get into the BCS Championship Game. On the other side, the Aggies were starting a backup quarterback but still had Dante Hall and Sirr Parker in their arsenal.
