Our guest today is an “accidental entrepreneur”, after listening to her journey, we happen to love accidents now! Episode Introduction: She started with a website that was so “terribly designed” that she wants to block it out of her memory, today - she rules the design industry. Our guest today is a true example of the wonders that can come out of choosing progress over perfection. Episode Summary: Bonnie Bakhtiari shares the recipe to her secret sauce of success which was marrying her skills with her creative drive and voila, she got herself a thriving six-figure business. Bonnie walks us through her journey of starting where she was, moving forward with imperfection, and gives us all the tea on the perfect brand strategy. This episode is jam-packed with golden nuggets of knowledge. Main Takeaways: Starting with imperfection is so much better than not starting at all. It’s okay to not know where your destination is as long as you believe that your journey is leading you to someplace meaningful. If you believe something is possible, you end up creating a reality for yourself where it actually is possible. Instead of having misconceptions of reality, focus your energy on having faith in your own actions. No one is going to be able to work with you if you don’t tell them that they can work with you. It’s important to consistently show up and serve value online and then point people to how you can help them achieve the transformation they’re looking for. Instead of thinking that someone is saying “No” to you as a service provider, think of it as them saying “No” to the transformation that your service provides doesn’t resonate with them. Once your primary revenue stream is generating consistent clients, you can start looking into developing passive income sources such as e-courses and other resources. Bonnie’s top tips on creating a solid brand strategy: Before getting to the brand aesthetics, work on clearly breaking down and defining your brand strategy. Clearly define what your business is, what your business offers, who your ideal client is, what kind of growth should your ideal customers experience through your services, etc. Even if you are a seasoned professional, revisit the basics from time to time to perfect your brand strategy further. Create a mission for your business and understand your purpose. It’ll keep you coming back to your calling even on the days you don’t feel like showing up. If you are a service provider, it is crucial to have a contract outlining the scope of the work before you start the project. Fun Facts About Bonnie Bakhtiari: Bonnie is a coffee person.
