Recorded live at the Comedy Republic in Melbourne on August 22nd 2024, the boys dared to ask Which Fictional Child Would Be the Best to Step-Dad? Zammit is going to be a father soon and the other two will also be there so what better way to test their fathering mettle with their approach to fatherhood with fictional children? You need to ask yourself, who did it best (or the least worst) as general parenting, the birds and the bees, athletic prowess and how well we get on with other kid's dads are all taken into consideration when raising these children that are now under our care. Zammit is worred he won't be able to keep up with a man-cub, JD wants to be praised for looking after a reverso-boy and Jackson has to explain to a rat the dangers of stealing. It ain't easy being a step-dad but at least the courts will have premo evidence when Zammit's kid gets taken off him.Links to everything in our linktr.ee including our terrible merch, social media garbage and where to become a subscriber to Bad Brain Boys+If you're in the UK and want to see three beautiful idiots live and in the flesh, head on over to https://www.sanspantsradio.com/events/category/live-shows/ and grab your tickets today to see us in Melbourne, London, Edinburgh, Manchester and/or Birmingham. Christian and Josh are joined by the supremely talented comedian Nat Harris for Patch 131! Nat is about to perform a replay of her Melbourne International Comedy Festival show "Lathered" at Comedy Republic on Tuesday July 16. Purchase tickets through the Comedy Republic website! We kick off the episode by fighting about who has a better 'natural' reading voice before Nat reveals that she bleeds from the eyes and gums due to a stigmatism. Hot start alert! Christian expresses his dislike for people who engage in loud activities on the other end of the phone, Nat opens up about her tendency to speak to herself and Josh takes aim at people who type while they're talking to you. Josh then considers whether his home teaspoon policy (leaving it turned upside down on the edge of the sink) can translate into the office. Will his colleagues scratch their neck with his spoon? Nat struggles with using a single teaspoon across different substances and Christian breaks down over an oily teaspoon in soapy water and suggests Josh invent a half spoon half pen. We also ask what you do after spilling a few drops of coffee or tea on the floor? Nat closes out the Patch by telling us about a very important recent purchase of hers, fabric softener. Christian remembers sniffing a great smelling teacher, we agree that Napisan is a trusted brand, Josh spruiks Hegs Pegs and Nat asks whether we put folded clothes away immediately. With very special guests "Previously on Lathered with Pussy Willow" and "Nursery Rhymes". You can hear more Nat every weekday morning in Melbourne by tuning into Breakfasters on Triple R or listening online via https://www.rrr.org.au/ Follow us on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitter and Facebook to see clips from the show: linktr.ee/welcometopatchwork For a couple of dollars a month you can sign up to our Patreon page and get a bonus Patch every off week! Can I have your vote? Don't worry about my ankle bracelet. Emerald and Tom react to the Queensland local council elections and state by-elections (8:39). Was it another Greenslide? Is Labor totally screwed for the upcoming state election? Then, the government is looking to introduce changes to political donations and election funds (41:04). This is what the Greens want, right? In ep 2 of our Patreon bonus show That's My Jam, Emerald and Tom re-open the Kitchen Cabinet and recap some classic eps from 2016. First up is former Greens leader Richard Di Natale. In this Patreon bonus, Jesse Noakes returns to the show. First he gives Emerald and Tom a predictable update on Disrupt Burrup and ABC. Then they talk about the state of public housing and homelessness in Western Australia, the evils of evictions into homelessness, and the particular damage this is causing First Nations communities. Warning that this episode contains frank discussion of dark themes including suicide. Taylor Swift came to town and all I got was this lousy $65 t-shirt. Emerald and Tom talk Colesworth and the reactions to the “Superpower” episode of Four Corners about the supermarket duopoly (13:39). Is everything fine now that the CEO quit? Is anything going to be done to fix this? This week, Kate and Brodie recap the last few weeks of movies, meals and parties. Jinx went to see the girlbosses at SXSW Sydney, heard about Naomi Watts' menopause products, learned she's married to Billy Crudup and barely saw Nicole Kidman's ankles. She did not cook her own meat at Le Foote and visited Vermuteria, meanwhile BL remembers a fight she had with Siri in The Rocks and recounts a night at French Saloon. Together they went to celebrate Melbourne icon Beci Orpin's birthday, and reminisce about their prom looks – one of which was far more iconic than the other. Then, they recap the movies they've seen recently and discuss how JTFirstman makes fun of himself in Rotting in the Sun, You Hurt My Feelings is the film of the year, why can't everyone make movies like Far From Heaven, we both liked the kooky A Haunting in Venice, The Exorcist: The Believer is trash, remember the tiny sunglasses in My Best Friend's Wedding. Also: Alsos! Also AlsosCOMEDY ALSO: Zoë Coombs Marr's new show Every Single Thing in My Whole Entire Life (A Perpetual Work in Progress) is on at Comedy Republic on 23 November and 7 DecemberSWIM ALSO: YouSwimPROTECT ALSO: Moth spray from GramQUIZ ALSO: Trivia @ the Keys on Wednesday NightsSTORE ALSO: Kowtow has opened on Gertrude St in Melbourne!CLASS ALSO: BL is hosting a Writer's Vic event on writing and money on November 28Find us on Instagram @seealsopodcast Hosted on Acast.
