Dublin based aviation analytics solutions company Aerlytix has announced that it has secured a grant of €455,000 through Enterprise Ireland's Research, Development & Innovation (RD&I) fund. This will directly support the development of new products and services to optimise the airline industry's analytical capabilities around fleet planning and financing. The company, which was founded in 2020, has also announced that it plans to create 23 new jobs by 2027 focusing mainly on technical and software development roles. Eight of these new roles have already been filled in recent months. This R&D project aims to create analytics software, designed with airlines, that drives fleet optimisation and enables better financial risk management. This will support the sector to resolve technical challenges, increase employment in Irish aviation companies and drive international business growth. Speaking at the announcement at Aerlytix's Dublin HQ, Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke T.D said, "I wish to commend the team at Aerlytix on its recent success. Aviation is a key driver of our economy, supporting both direct and indirect employment, and provides crucial connectivity for tourism and business. Ireland is a world leader in aviation leasing whereby more than 65% of the world's aircraft are leased here. "Aerlytix continues to make significant inroads into critical segments of the aircraft leasing industry. By providing tangible solutions through innovative analytics technologies, the company is helping to reduce inefficiencies for the sector and accelerate digital transformation across individual organisations. Aerlytix has significant growth plans to further enhance its offering and scale its talented team here in Dublin and I wish the company the very best." Commenting on the announcement, Aerlytix Finance Director, Órla Kearney said: 'The grant funding from Enterprise Ireland's RD&I Programme accelerates development and delivery of our next generation technology project for customers. This investment program is propelling Irish-based technology companies forward. We are excited to extend and scale our aviation technology solutions to a broader set of international clients." Speaking on the RD&I fund, Kevin Sherry, Interim CEO, Enterprise Ireland said: "Driving substantially increased investment in Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) by Irish businesses is a key priority in Enterprise Ireland's new five-year strategy, 'Delivering for Ireland, Leading Globally'. That increased investment in innovation is a key driver in the success of Enterprise Ireland's client base both in Ireland and in international markets. "Research shows that businesses that invest in innovation have 2.5 times higher turnover and 4.7 times greater exports than companies not investing in RD&I. Aerlytix has made great progress in a short space of time to develop innovative proprietary analytics solutions for the aviation sector, an area where Ireland leads the way globally in aircraft leasing. We are delighted to support Aerlytix growth plans with significant RD&I funding targeted at supporting the company to deliver accelerated growth across global markets, develop key R&D projects, and create highly skilled new jobs in Ireland." Suretank, the leading provider of modular and tank solutions for global infrastructure, pharma, marine and energy companies, has announces that it is creating 80 new jobs in Louth by year-end 2025. The new jobs come on the back of an ambitious diversification strategy and will help the Louth company to reach revenues of €75M by year-end 2025 - up from €50M in 2024. From its own facilities, Suretank custom-designs, engineers, manufactures and ships modular and tank solutions for its highly regulated and sustainability-conscious global customer base. In 2016, 90% of Suretank's customers operated in the offshore oil and gas industry. Since then, spurred by a global crash in oil and gas prices and utilising its core engineering competencies and expertise, Suretank has diversified its operations. It is now servicing a wider pool of industries, with customers operating in offshore wind and other renewables, data centres, pharma, recycling and electricity grids. They span 23 countries, across five continents. The new jobs represent a significant investment from Suretank in its people and will bring the company to a team of more than 300. Suretank will hire in the areas of sales and marketing, engineering, quality assurance, operations and finance. The expanded team will provide the resources necessary to service new industries and increase capacity. The roles will be based in Suretank's Dunleer headquarters, as well as its manufacturing facilities, all in Co. Louth. The facilities enable Suretank to build customer solutions entirely offsite before shipping and retrofitting them. This ensures greater health and safety standards for customers and the ability to meet the most stringent certifications by building in controlled environments. Martin Winters, managing director, Suretank, said: "This has been an exciting time for our business. We have an incredibly experienced, high-performance in-house team that includes more than 100 engineers, welders and electricians. They are the backbone to our strong reputation for excellence and innovation. It is thanks to their industry-leading expertise that we were able to ensure we meet the highest levels of certification and regulation in every industry, anywhere in the world. As a result, we always deliver on our commitments and this has enabled us to scale so seamlessly into more industries. "Thanks to the success of our diversification strategy, we will now continue to grow our team. Our further investment in Louth will help us to meet customer demand, while also preparing for the rapid growth in operations and revenues that lies ahead." See more stories here.

Enterprise Ireland Irish medtech client company Aerogen today announces details of a €300 million transformational scaling and investment plan, which will result in the creation of 725 new jobs in Ireland over the next 10 years. Aerogen is Ireland's largest indigenous medtech company and Enterprise Ireland's largest client company in the sector having firmly established itself as the world leader in acute care aerosol drug delivery. This announcement was made in conjunction with Enterprise Ireland's End of Year Results for 2024, which confirms that total employment at companies supported by the agency increased to a record 234,454 last year, with 15,741 new jobs created. 64% of the new jobs created in these client companies were located outside the Dublin region, with all nine regions recording job growth. Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Peter Burke was on site in Galway to preside over Aerogen's growth announcement and deliver Enterprise Ireland's results. "The government, through Enterprise Ireland, is targeting ambitious scaling of Irish multinationals that will help drive the Irish economy and our competitive advantage forward. Aerogen's announcement today is evidence of that Irish multinational ambition in action, and we are delighted to support them on their patient-focused mission. Commenting on the positive employment growth figures recorded by companies supported by Enterprise Ireland, Minister Burke said, "It is hugely positive to see Enterprise Ireland-supported companies recording job growth for the fourth year in a row. 2024 was a challenging year for some sectors of exporting Irish businesses with high interest rates and international instability impacting business performance, so to record significant employment growth is even more impressive. Today's announcement that Aerogen will implement an ambitious scaling plan, creating high-quality jobs here in the west of Ireland, is very welcome and demonstrates the continued success of Irish companies' performance in export markets. The government stands firm in our commitment to Irish companies competing and growing on a global scale." Aerogen - Transformational Scaling Plan With over 25 years of experience, 300 international patents and over 200 clinical papers, Aerogen technology has been used to treat over 25 million patients in emergency departments, adult and paediatric ICUs, general wards and ambulance services in 75 countries worldwide. Aerogen offers a safe and powerful drug delivery device for the treatment of critical respiratory illness and other non-respiratory illnesses and is the leading manufacturer of high-performance, single-use respiratory nebulisers in the world. The Aerogen Group is headquartered in Dangan, Galway, and the new Irish jobs will be across R&D, manufacturing, science and engineering and located there and at its two manufacturing sites in Parkmore, Galway and in Shannon. The implementation of the transformational scaling plan will enable Aerogen to create up to 725 highly skilled jobs in the West by 2035, increasing its global workforce to over 2,000, of which over 1,100 will be based in Ireland. As part of the ten-year scaling and investment plan, Aerogen aims to accelerate its existing device technology through new product innovation and leveraging of global opportunities. Simultaneously, it will build its emerging biopharmaceutics business with a major breakthrough in treating premature newborns with Infant Respiratory Stress Syndrome. High-quality R&D is crucial to its goal to become a global leader in pulmonary medicine and biopharmaceutical delivery, combined with a true commitment to improving patient care through cutting-edge technologies. Aerogen has been growing at over 20% per annum for the last decade, with annual revenues now over €150 million, and has contributed €130 million to local Irish businesses in that time.
