Jejune was an American rock band formed in 1996 at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. The band has been commonly identified with the emo genre, and was heavily involved with the scene at the peak of the "second wave" of emo in the mid-1990s. The three founding members, Arabella, Joe, and Chris, met while studying at the college. The band relocated to San Diego, California, in 1997. They have 3 releases which are Junk (1997) This Afternoon's Malady (1998) and RIP (2000). I believe a lot of you have or had that split with Jimmy Eat World which we do discuss.  I've tried for a while to get Joe on the Skype and I finally did and this is what we chat about. Being roommates with the President of Geffin Records Dropping out of Berklee Rama from Big Wheel Staying in touch with Jim from Jimmy Eat World Will they ever have a reunion show The split with Jimmy Eat World His band I wish I The Actuality of Thought video comp Changing their sound on the second record almost being kidnapped by Germans And a ton more Get your Realtor Instagram Stickers by clicking here.

Ohio State had the weekend off. Sort of. There was no game. But there was a big win. The Buckeyes went into Texas once again for a big commitment: defensive back Ryan Watts from Deep Elm.  Duane Long is here and he is excited. We go in depth on what the addition of Watts means for the Buckeyes. Also: Could Ohio State actually pass on adding a running back altogether in the Class of 2020? It's possible. Duane shares his viewpoint on how Ohio State should proceed from here. Then we had to get into this Friday night's date with Northwestern. Is the possibility for another Purdueish debacle present? All of that is coming at you on the Tuesday extravaganza. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Today we welcome Matt Traxler, guitarist from Brandtson. The band, out of Cleveland was on Deep Elm and The Militia Group back in the day and they recently reissued some lost demos through Matt’s label Steadfast Records. Chapter 127: "SUPER IN LOVE WITH MUSIC" ... as read by Matt Traxler Matt's parent's moved to a blueberry farm at the same time he had his driver's license suspended. When he got his license back he dove headfirst into the local punk and hardcore scene. Matt joined Six Feet Deep and started Steadfast Records, the label that first signed the legendary Zao! Matt put the label to rest when Brandtson signed to Deep Elm but 17 years later, a convergence of events led him to resurrect the label. Matt recalls singing the words to Little Red Corvette as a kid and touring in a haunted van. For episode 61, we welcome Barry Lott from the band Camber. You may know that band name from the First Deep Elm Emo Diaries compilation. They were track 2, right after Jimmy Eat World. Camber have a very special place in my heart. Their debut album was the first record I was ever sent at the college radio station and helped kickstart my journey into emo itself. Barry and I talk about Camber’s history, the NYC scene in the 90s and what everyone is up to now. Hope you enjoy. Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/washedupemo)
