The Rams are set to face the Seahawks for the 3rd time this season in a divisional NFC Championship showdown. If you're a fan of football in any capacity, this is the game you've been asking for. It's about as close as it can be, statistically over the last few years. But the Rams have 2 very important differentiators at head coach and quarterback, as well as the experience with this grouping to get the job done. You don't come this far just to lose in Seattle. We all got what we wanted: the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks meeting for a third time this season. The House of Horns crew will be joined by Fox Sports NFL insider Eric D. Williams to break down the NFC championship game. Make sure to join the discussion with Victor and Gilberto at House of Horns.
Mike MacDonald spoke to the media yesterday and gave his thoughts on turnover differential, Puka Nacua and the health of his quarterback. Sam isn't taking all the reps in practice and we are ok with that. Puka is a force, can the Seahawks defense stop him from getting 200+ yards again? Seattle has a positive turnover differential in every game except against the Rams, is MacDonald concerned about that? :30- MIKE SANDO (The Athletic) What's going to determine this outcome on Sunday? Ken Walker is the guy now that Charbonnet is out- can he handle the workload? Does Mike give Jarrett Stidham a chance to pull off the win over the Patriots? Does Sando have any belief in the Patriots? What's going on in Buffalo? :45- We close out the show with one last thing! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The hour starts with Blue 88, with topics including comparing and contrasting JSN and Puka Nacua, something the Seahawks and Mike Macdonald haven't been able to do against Matthew Stafford yet and a key to the Rams matchup that Daniel Jeremiah alluded to. Later, Jeff Saturday of ESPN joins the show to help preview the upcoming NFC Championship game and some of the storylines that he will be watching for.

MATT HASSELBECK makes his Wednesday visit and we start with that win over the Niners last Saturday. It all started with the kickoff, but what did Matt think about the win from start to finish. Were Darnold & the coaching staff doing anything different last week to protect him and his injury and what should we expect this week? Ok, we have to talk about Matt Stafford and the season he is having- are we worried about facing him again? What does the Seahawks defense need to do to stop him on Sunday? The Broncos are in a tough spot, but Matt doesn't think the QB will be the issue in the AFC Championship. How is Matt feeling about the Seahawks chances on Sunday? :30- We're bring out the Cher-Coacherie Board! - No, we don't think Klint Kubiak's head coaching potential is a distraction for this team, but will Kubiak land in Buffalo or Baltimore when the season comes to an end? - Eric Bienamy is headed back to Kansas City and Mike McDaniel is headed to the Chargers as OC… now that's going to be a room of weird. :45- Yes, there's Stafford, there's Williams, but the one we really have to worry about slowing down is Puka Nacua. Can the Seahawks defense contain him this time? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Headlines and GREGG BELL (Tacoma News Tribune) - How many carries will Ken Walker get this Sunday? - Who helps Walker out at RB? - What has Mike MacDonald learned in the first two games against the Rams? - The trash talking is ramping up - Is the Sam Danrold turnover narrative just the low-hanging fruit for a lot of people? - What's the latest on Klint Kubiak's head coaching opportunities? :30- The impact of the front 4- for this Seahawks defense to achieve maximum success you have to be able to pressure the QB with 4 guys and the Seahawks might be better at doing it more consistently than any other team out there. Can they continue that trend against the Rams on Sunday when it really matters? :45- It's time to get Reckless at Breakfast! Who is the next Indiana and could there realistically be anyone that can compare? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Headlines and 12th Man News with GREGG BELL (Tacoma News Tribune) - The Zach Charbonnet injury seemed like it wasn't going to be bad… but it is. A torn ACL will require surgery and have him out for the next 8+ months. - What's going on with Sam Darnold's oblique? - The Rams are next and last game Puka Nacua and the Rams offense went off, so how will MacDonald game plan for their 3rd matchup? :30- The Char-Coacherie board has gotten very full! - Robert Saleh is expected to finalize a deal with the Titans and the Dolphins hired their new Head Coach. - The Bills fired Sean McDermott, but do they have a plan for their next head coach and where will McDermott end up? :45- Has PI gotten too complicated? Last night's refs were consistent in not calling PI's and it was good, but far too often there are inconsistencies with PI calls. RUNDOWN Mitch and Hotshot Scott reflect on the chaos and anticipation surrounding a third Seahawks–Rams matchup, debating momentum, matchup fatigue, and why this NFC Championship feels destined to be a coin flip despite Seattle's recent dominance. But the segment segues into a January 19th birthday remembrances, including Jean Stapleton, Junior Seau, Walter Jones, and a celebration of Dolly Parton. Mitch and Hotshot Scott relive all three previous NFC Championship Games at Lumen Field, from the 2006 breakthrough to the Miracle in 2014, while setting the stage for a fourth rubber match between the Seahawks and Rams. The discussion centers on the emotional weight of the 12th Man flag tradition following Paul Allen's legacy and the uncertainty around whether Pete Carroll, Jody Allen, or another iconic Seahawk should raise it. Ray Roberts explains why the Seahawks' 41–6 demolition of the 49ers wasn't a surprise, pointing to a confident, physical offensive line and a run game that has fully found its identity. He breaks down Kenneth Walker's late-season burst, the unselfish blocking culture among receivers, and how Sam Darnold's oblique injury hasn't altered Seattle's winning formula. Mitch, Brady Henderson, and Jacson Bevens break down why the Seahawks enter the NFC Championship Game in a stronger position than either previous matchup with the Rams, pointing to rest, home-field advantage, and a run game that has fully come alive. They discuss Sam Darnold's oblique injury, the status of key injuries up front, Kenneth Walker's late-season surge, and how Seattle might better contain Puka Nacua this time around. Mitch and Puck break down the emotional roller coaster of the Rams–Bears game and why the Rams, not Chicago, have always been the Seahawks' true postseason threat. They debate quarterback advantages, Sean McVay's mastery of the Seahawks defense, and whether Seattle's dominant run game and home-field edge can neutralize Matthew Stafford. The conversation also veers into NFC Championship superstitions, the 12th Man flag dilemma, and whether it's too soon for Pete Carroll to make a symbolic return. Season 7, Episode 19 (the Tony Gwynn episode) features Dan Fox, Frank Knight, Cole Markle, and sound man Rich Vassallo kicking things off with MLB hot stove drama—because even in football season, the Mets and Phillies can still hijack the conversation. Frank admits he was bummed about the Mets missing on Kyle Tucker, but the mood flips fast when the Mets swoop in overnight and land Bo Bichette, stunning Phillies fans who thought they had him locked up. The crew breaks down why the Phillies' roster fit was questionable (Turner at short, Bohm at third, Stott at second, and Bichette not wanting to play second), why Mets Nation is celebrating anyway, and why the best part of the deal—at least from Frank's perspective—is keeping Bichette out of Philadelphia. The Tucker deal also gets a blunt reality check. Dan questions the value of a $60M-per-year contract for a player who's never finished Top 10 in MVP voting, and the conversation turns into a broader rant about the Dodgers' financial advantage and how the luxury tax has become its own competitive weapon. Cole adds some generational perspective—baseball isn't the cultural default the way it used to be—and the group gets nostalgic about growing up with baseball, kickball, and “how do kids not know the rules anymore?”From there, it's a quick detour into hockey misery (Rangers turmoil and Flyers–Penguins pain), before the show transitions into a full Fox Brothers Alarms segment: the “bomb shelter” basement studio shout-out, the core value statement, services offered, and how to contact the company—plus a plug for the podcast Facebook page and the email inbox. A notable milestone: Rich reports that downloads have jumped from double digits into triple digits, and nobody is quite sure why—but the crew is happy to take the win. Then the episode shifts into the main event: Super Wild Card Weekend recap.Rams vs. Panthers (Rams 34, Panthers 31): a tight game despite the 10.5-point spread, featuring a scorching start from Stafford, a cold stretch that nearly flipped the outcome, and a late reconnection with Puka Nacua to close it out. Dan shares a party story involving a furious Rams fan melting down while his wife tries to keep things kid-friendly.Packers vs. Bears: Green Bay jumps out 21–0, then Chicago claws back and takes control late. The crew debates whether Chicago's QB is magic or chaos—highlighting a “triple coverage” throw that felt more like a prayer than precision, plus the wildly inconsistent accuracy that makes him both dangerous and confusing. The Bears' fan energy (including the cheese-grater celebration) gets a big laugh, and the group admits Chicago's current run is weirdly fun to watch. The show ends mid-transition into Bills vs. Jaguars—setting up the next stretch of Wild Card breakdowns and more playoff chaos to come.Special Thanks to:Fox Brothers Alarms - https://foxbrothersalarms.comFirst Baptist church of Phillipsburg NJ http://www.fbcpburg.org/

Johnson dives into his first playoff win, playing through injuries, the impact of veterans in the secondary, Al Harris’ ball-hawking coaching style, and what makes Chicago’s defense thrive under pressure. He also previews the Bears’ Divisional Round showdown against the Los Angeles Rams, detailing how to slow down Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua, and the Rams offense with disguises, physical coverage, and timing disruption, while sharing insight on Caleb Williams’ leadership, clutch fourth-quarter play, and why the rookie quarterback continues to rise on the biggest stage as the Bears chase a deep postseason run. It's all about Rams vs. Bears during the latest episode of House of Horns. The Compas Gilberto and Victor break down everything from this NFL Divisional matchup. You know Gilberto will be all over the Caleb Williams vs. Rams' secondary matchup. Hear all the latest news and notes from Vic, the Producer.
Longtime L.A. Times Rams beat reporter Gary Klein joins House of Horns to break down the NFL playoffs matchup against the Chicago Bears. Gary and Gilberto discuss how the Rams view the duo of Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson. They'll also get into the Chicago weather factor. Will the wind really be a problem for Matthew Stafford and Davante Adams? They both played in the NFC North. But let's not spoil this insightful interview with Gary Klein, who just wrote a fantastic feature about the Rams' 10-year anniversary of being back in Los Angeles. Don't miss this interview, Rams and Bears fans!
The Rams are preparing to travel to Chicago in frigid temperatures. It's no secret, it's going to be freezing cold. And Matthew Stafford has a sprained right index finger. There's a reason for many to doubt the Rams - especially those who watched the Panthers game. This team should be ready: they have a chance to get back to the NFC Championship and have seemingly avoided the "emotional" game that the Bears and now Seahawks and 49ers have and had to play. The road to the Super Bowl gets clearer by the day, and if the Rams can play a full 60 minutes: they'll have a chance to contend for the division next weekend. The Rams survived in Carolina this weekend and are now set to play the Chicago Bears in the Divisional Round this upcoming weekend. An insane few days of football across the board and now 3 of 4 NFC West teams are still alive in the NFC. The Rams could win this game and host the NFC Championship as the 5th seed if San Francisco can figure out a way to beat Seattle. Otherwise, the Rams are in Seattle for the NFC Championship. But, that's IF they can take care of business against Chicago. One. Game. At. A. Time. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Richard Sherman reacts to an electrifying NFC Wild Card Weekend, breaking down the 49ers’ gritty road victory over the Eagles, the Packers–Bears instant classic, and the Rams narrowly escaping the Panthers. Sherm discusses Kyle Shanahan’s masterclass without key starters, Christian McCaffrey’s impact, Brock Purdy’s toughness, and what this loss means for Nick Sirianni, Jalen Hurts, and A.J. Brown in Philadelphia. Plus, Sherm credits Caleb Williams and the Bears’ resilience, critiques Green Bay’s second-half collapse, and explains why Jordan Love played one of his best games as a pro. We also cover Matthew Stafford’s late-game brilliance, Puka Nacua’s matchup vs Jaycee Horn, Bryce Young’s growth, and what these results mean for the NFC playoff picture moving forward. Our Seattle Seahawks enter the playoffs with a number of players who could become unexpected postseason heroes -- guys who could deliver outsized performances when it matters most. Is there a player on defense who could shadow Rams receiver Puka Nacua? Derek Hall's disruptive presence on the defensive line, despite limited snaps, positions him for a playoff breakout with his speed-to-power rush creating havoc even when sacks don't materialize. Cooper Kupp's regular season numbers don't tell the full story of his impact, but could finally deliver the red zone production Seattle envisioned. We also hear from those of you who contributed in Discord or out on YouTube. Special teams ace Rashid Shaheed brings legitimate game-breaking ability on returns, though opponents may refuse to kick to him after his explosive punt return touchdown against the Rams. Dark horse candidates include fullback Robbie Ouzts potentially catching a crucial pass and linebacker Drake Thomas making impact plays.

The Rams are double-digit favorites on Saturday in Carolina as we prepare for Wildcard Weekend, and teams that are double-digit favorites in the WC round are 12-1 in the last 13 games. This Rams team is getting healthy at the right time, and their aspirations are far above a wildcard win. Regardless, the Rams have to show up and get back to their winning ways. A commanding win vs. Carolina will alter how fans feel moving forward dramatically. But a loss? Could be one of the worst, if not THE worst in the Sean McVay era. We have all the faith in the world that the Rams will take care of business. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
