Minimalism - What exactly is minimalism? Why has minimalism become a prevailing trend? In the world that we live in today, commercialism, consumerism, and capitalism are the driving forces within most of the world's economies. The world of fashion has adversely affected by this wave of materialism and has led to the growing culture of fast fashion. The prototypical fashion seasons of spring, summer, fall, and winter or warm vs cold, has been replaced by a fashion cycle that changes its designs 52 weeks a year. This had led to a counterculture of brands that promote ethical fashion and a no waste lifestyle. Our guests on this episode, David and Cassidy Avalo, own a brand called Wakened Apparel (https://www.wakenedapparel.org/) which is a socially aware company that goes against the trend of fast fashion with raising awareness for the world's greatest causes and helping non-profit organizations accomplish their goals with the support of their donations. Cassidy also owns an instablog called Life Simplified, where she posts about vegan skincare, as well as her capsule wardrobe and brands that make a difference in the world. We ask them: 1. Do you have to get rid of everything to become a minimalist? 2. How has the two-day shipping culture affected your attempt to be minimalist? 3. How does fast fashion affect your business? 4. How do you deal with planned obsolescence? Then we do our favorite segment- Don't Get Me Started and let David and Cassidy get in on the fun. Normal dates are weak, get creative. 22 is everywhere, no lie. Jared had an awkward convenient store encounter. A new game, Don't Get Me Started, stole it. Expectations of teenagers today, compared to the past. YouTube is not about consistency, its about passion. Suicide sucks, never make it an option.
Will Hine is an improv legend,. He's also an author, a sketch writer, a maude director, a teacher, a podcaster and an honest, genuine guy. Not to mention he's insightful and thoughtful when finding the comedy nuggets in the mundane details. This is a great episode in finding the truth in comedy, the grounded reality that we can all relate to and laugh at together. You may want to grab a notebook and jot down some of Will's brilliance - or don't - I'm not here to tell you what to do. We also break down a FAN'S Sketch with Will Hines. Thanks to MATT NEWCOMB for sharing his sketch!!! Don't Get Me Started hosts Will Hines (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Inside Amy Schumer) and Anthony King (Broad City, Search Party) join Luke to argue about whether or not you can teach someone to be funny. Later, the group decides when it's okay to let a child go in front of you while waiting in line for the bathroom. Executive Producer: Jon Perry Logo by Graham Wallace Theme Song by Doug DeLuca

In honor of episode 50 and our anniversary, the topic of this podcast is the podcast itself. Hosts Anthony and Will bring on former guest and devoted listener Jon Gabrus to discuss their favorite episodes, podcasts in general, the craziness of their friends, what other minor obsessions they might do, whether they should do a spin-off podcast, which of their previous guests' topics have become part of their lives, what they think of their crazy Billy Joel episode and other things!
No guest joins us this week as we talk about kilts, torpedoes of truth, and Mr. Bean. Also, Don't Get Me Started.
No guest this week as we badmouth hippies, talk about our favourite things, and play a round of Don't Get Me Started.
No guest this week, as we talk about feeling like hoboes in fancy restaurants and getting beaten up in high school. Then we do Don't Get Me Started and Drunk Dials.
We are once again guestless as we talk Watchmen, Jessica Alba, and we debut a new segment called Don't Get Me Started.
