This week, authorities in New Mexico are continuing their investigation into the disappearance of retired U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. William "Neil" McCasland, and as the investigation enters its third week, officials say there have been no confirmed sightings of McCasland and few significant leads regarding his whereabouts. McCasland, 68, is a former commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory whose career placed him at the center of some of the U.S. military's most sensitive science and technology programs. However, it was the missing official's brief associations with the rock guitarist Tom DeLonge beginning in 2016 that led to widespread speculations within the UFO community about what McCasland may have known about some of America's most intriguing secrets. Hablamos con Samuel Casado ,presidente de la Asociación Amigos del Misterio de Guadix (Granada, España). Samuel Casado es un investigador activo en el mundo del misterio en España, especializado en fenómenos paranormales, historia oculta y lugares con leyendas en la zona de Guadix. El programa se centra en los misterios de Guadix, destacando principalmente: • Enigmas y fenómenos paranormales en el Palacio de Villalegre (o Villalegre), un edificio histórico de Guadix que se ha convertido en uno de los escenarios más comentados por supuestos sucesos inexplicables, apariciones, ruidos o actividades paranormales. Se exploran leyendas locales, investigaciones realizadas por la asociación y hechos históricos que alimentan estas historias. • El trabajo de la Asociación Amigos del Misterio de Guadix, que lleva años organizando actividades, charlas e investigaciones serias sobre estos temas en la comarca. • Contexto más amplio del misterio en Guadix, una ciudad con rica historia (cuevas, catedral, legado árabe y cristiano) que propicia relatos de lo inexplicable. Además, en el episodio hablamos del I Premio Nacional del Misterio, organizado por la asociación de Casado y cuya primera edición se celebró (o estaba programada) el 7 de marzo de 2026 en el Teatro Mira de Amescua de Guadix. Un reciente descubrimiento científico podría cambiar los libros de historia para siempre. Según ha explicado el escritor Javier Sierra en la sección 'Lo Misterioso' de 'Herrera en COPE', un estudio alemán sitúa el origen de la escritura hace 40.000 años, en pleno Paleolítico, mucho antes de los 5.000 o 6.500 años que la ciencia establecía hasta ahora como punto de partida en la antigua Mesopotamia.La investigación, liderada por la Universidad del Sarre en colaboración con el Museo de Prehistoria e Historia Temprana de Berlín, ha analizado una serie de objetos de arte mueble del Paleolítico, como las famosas Venus o figuras de mamuts. En estas piezas han encontrado cadenas de muescas, como equis o asteriscos, que se repiten con un ritmo secuenciado. From out of the shadows of the U.S. intelligence community, Dr. James T. Recently, striking correlations between mysterious flashes of light captured on 1950s astronomical plates, reports of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), and atmospheric nuclear weapons tests of the same era have been revealed in a pair of new peer-reviewed scientific papers. Analyzing more than 106,000 short-lived "transients" from the VASCO project archives, the team found that such flashes were 68% more likely to occur the day after a nuclear test, and increased further when UAP sightings were also reported. A companion study detected potential solar reflections from flat, highly reflective objects in orbit before the first human satellites launched, with one event coinciding with the famous 1952 Washington, D.C., UAP sightings. Joining us on The Micah Hanks Program to discuss the new research is Stephen Bruehl, Ph.D., a Vanderbilt University professor of anesthesiology, who discusses the statistical analysis of the data collected on these unusual "transients," and why at least one-third of these pre-satellite flashes may represent genuine objects in high orbit, challenging long-held assumptions that such points of light were photographic artifacts.
