This was a fun older show that I thought was worthy of a bit of a facelift. So here it is: the second covers special I did with improved audio quality! On 2 November, the great Keith Emerson would have turned 80. To honor this anniversary I have remastered the Keith Emerson Tribute program I did in the aftermath of his tragic death. The program has lots of great Emerson music (with The Nice, ELP, and ELPowell) and also features commentary from some great contemporary keyboard players, including Erik Norlander, Aaron Clift, Dave Kerzner, and Luca Zabbini. I hope you will join me in remembering a legend of the Prog Rock genre, who we lost too soon.

In this episode I'm joined by 2/3 of the band Rocket Scientists. Musicians Mark McCrite and Don Schiff (unfortunately Erik Norlander wasn't available) were kind enough to discuss the making of their 2006 double album Revolution Road, which is now 15 years old. This is one of my favorite Rocket Scientists records and I enjoyed hearing about how it was made and a little of the history involved. Sadly, it does involve some tragedy, as the band was set to work with talented musician and vocalist Shaun Guerin, who died in 2003. This week I'm chatting with our old friend, Erik Norlander, mostly about his new project with John Payne called Dukes Of The Orient!  We get the low down on the Dukes and some of Erik's other endeavors, and along the way I spin plenty of great music, with an extra large helping of new Dukes Of The Orient music!
