Join Maria today in the latest episode of the Dog Gone Positive Way, where Maria continues the discussion about the dog food industry. Her puppy Tony makes an appearance with his new Kong Wobbler. She discusses several high-end, already prepared, raw dog companies that are both developed by veterinarians. She reviews the ever-so-popular, air-dried dog food, Sundays. She also discusses the different fillers that parents are being charged an incredibly high expense for. What are you, the pet parent, paying for? Does it have the same nutritional value? These are among the many questions that are answered for you in this food series. Let her do the work and research for you, so you can sit back, relax, and gain more knowledge about the dog food industry and its implications for you and your pet. #AAFCO #DogFood #DogFoodIndustry #petFood #Kibble #Dog #DryDogFood #PetFood #RawDiet #value #cats # #Sundays #AirDry #Come #Kong #Wobbler #Enrichment #Work #Dogs #Puppies #Puppy #DogTraining #CuteI have more questions for Maria: you can reach her on socials @doggonepositive or you can email her at scrattyopatty@gmail.comDon't forget to have a Dog Gone Positive Day!

In this episode of the On The Rail Podcast, we explore the topic of Wobbler's Disease in horses with equine specialists Dr. John Janicek, Dr. Barrie Grant, and Dr. Steve Reed. The discussion covers the diagnosis, treatment, and misconceptions surrounding the disease, emphasizing the importance of complete diagnostics to differentiate Wobbler's from other neurological conditions like equine protozoal myeloencephalitis (EPM) and equine degenerative myeloencephalopathy (EDM). The experts explain the surgical intervention for Wobbler's and share their perspectives on the genetic predisposition to the disease, the impact of horse management practices, and the importance of early diagnosis. They also address the economic considerations and advocate for a more informed approach by owners and veterinarians to avoid premature euthanasia of horses with this condition. We are back. Season 3 kicks off with a bang after a long summer break Honey! You're Ruining Our Kid! has a bulging sack of emails from parents with all kinds behaviours they need to sort out. Get involved and email us at honeyyoureruiningourkid@gmail.com or follow us on Instagram.Question 1 Restoring Boundaries When Tantrums Break Them Down!Is your child testing your boundaries? Has your patience worn thin? You are not alone. In this week's episode Tina tries to help a mum who is struggling with meltdowns, tantrums and risk taking. How can she bring some balance back into her home? How can she reset the boundaries and return her house to the calm she is craving? Question 2 Throwing It Back In Your Face!Children all experience different phases in terms of the interest in developing or acquiring new movement skills. Developing your child's ability to throw something is actually a huge milestone. However what do you do when your 1 year old seems to have an innate ability to throw. Not just balls, but everything. This behaviour can quickly become out of control and sometimes dangerous. How do you go about redirecting the interest whilst still nurturing the skill? Question 3 I Think My Child Is Gifted!Navigating your child's development can be so incredibly stressful. Worrying about them reaching all their milestones so the health-nurse can tick her/his agenda for ‘normal' development off her chart. What do you do and where do you go if your child is showing signs of giftedness? Everyone will have advice but like everything, is it your mammy gut that should guide you in deciding how best to approach this with your child. There are always other areas that children need to develop. So if learning is coming easy, use that free time to help them grow their interests in sport, music, social and emotional areas. Finally a parent gets in touch about their 9 year old boy who is terrified of putting on weight. What can you do if a negative body image had taken hold this early in life. Tina has seen this a lot and has a few excellent strategies that might be able to help.Thank you for supporting our podcast. If you want to hear more why not head over to our Patreon to listen to the extra large episode and our archive of episodes. This week a parent gets in touch about her 7 year old who is terrified about putting on weight. What can we do if our kids already have a negative relationship with food and their body image.

Welcome to this episode of The Underdog Vet Podcast! Sadly, this is the last episode of Season One but worry not, Season Two is already being recorded! For the final episode of Season One I have an absolute treat for you dear listener, for this season's last instalment of The Animal Advocate Interviews I spoke to veterinary neurologist Professor Clare Rusbridge. Clare graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1991. After completing an Internship in America and a Residency back in the UK, she became the youngest Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Neurology in 1996 and then an RCVS Specialist in 1999. Treating animals with painful and/or distressing inherited disease drives her research to find a better way of diagnosing, treating and preventing these conditions. Clare is currently a Senior Neurologist at Wear Referrals in County Durham, a Professor in Veterinary Neurology at the University of Surrey, a Patron of the Cavalier Matters Charity and a Trustee of the Dog Breeding Reform Group charity. Clare and I had an interesting discussion about some common neurological conditions that certain dog breeds suffer and what can be done about them, including if it's even possible to eradicate them from these breeds. Clare also told me about the exciting and frankly fascinating research she's currently working on to improve dog health and welfare. Clare said A LOT of fancy words, I've explained a few here: Neotinisation: Selectively breeding dogs to retain 'cute' juvenile features in ADULT dogs, making them look more baby-like, humans find these appealing Caudal facet hypoplasia/Wobbler's Disease/Atlantoaxial subluxation: Congenital vertebral malformations (https://www.cave-vet-specialists.co.uk/veterinary-professionals/tips-from-our-experts/congenital-vertebral-malformations-in-dogs) Stop: The stop is the degree of angle change between the skull and the nasal bone near the eyes Links: Clare's website: https://veterinary-neurologist.co.uk/ Syringomyelia: https://veterinary-neurologist.co.uk/Syringomyelia/ FAQ pages of Clare's Website: https://www.veterinary-neurologist.co.uk/page60/ Pug Myelopathy: https://veterinary-neurologist.co.uk/canine-degenerative-myelopathy/ Dishevelled Gene: https://www.ucdavis.edu/news/bulldogs-screw-tails-linked-human-genetic-disease Chondrodystrophy and Chondrodysplasia: https://vgl.ucdavis.edu/test/cddy-cdpa Intervertebral Disc Disease Information: https://www.veterinary-neurologist.co.uk/spinal_disorders/Spinal_Disorder_1/ Dog Breeding Reform Group Website: https://www.dbrg.uk/ Dr Rowena Packer research on Dachshunds: https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0069650 VIDEO - Symptoms of Syringomyelia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDjxvgfUVRU --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/the-underdog-podcast/message

To date, Radical Research has made more trips to Norway than any other country. But, typically, we spend our time in the shadowy realms of post-black metal. For our 77th episode, we travel to the green pastures of Honefoss, in search of Wobbler, Norway's preeminent progressive rock export. Having made five albums since forming in 1999, which at once pay homage to the legends of the '70s and occupy a thoroughly contemporary space on the rock spectrum, the time has long come for a proper investigation into the band's work. All travelers are welcome but synth whores should take particular note. Likewise, we believe that tangible music formats help provide the richest, most rewarding immersions and that music, artwork, and song titles cooperate to produce a singular effect on the listener. Great music is worth more than we ever pay for it.

We know and love him as Garm, the frontman in Ulver since that pioneering band's very beginnings. He has also fronted Norwegian luminaries Arcturus and Borknagar. All this alone would be enough to place him in our hall of infamy, yet he has given so much more. Through a variety of cameos and side projects, Garm, or Kristoffer Rygg, or Trickster G, has stamped his white-hot brand on a variety of other artists, within and outside of Norway. In this episode, we listen to some of his contributions outside of Ulver…and be assured, there will likely be a second part of this episode somewhere down our long and winding road.

Januar Schonzeit!
What's it like being a cat person when you have big dog energy? Which term should we use - co-parenting, single parenting, or double parenting? And what does Philip Larkin have in common with the lead singer of T'Pau? Answering all these questions is the marvellous Nadia Shireen! She tells us how she went from Smash Hits sub editor to successful children's author. We discuss the issue of diversity in kids' books, and whether things are getting any better. Then we round off with some chat about sleep deprivation and the role Mark Owen might play in the impending apocalypse. It's jollier than it sounds. Buy Nadia's books! The excellent Barbara Throws a Wobbler and Grimwood are out now, and they are brilliant - our kids love them and so do we. Follow Nadia on Twitter @nadiashireen, and on Instagram @nadiashireendraws. Kommissar Frieder Hänger und Wachtmeister Eric Abriss sind mal wieder los und streifen durchs Revier. Havelvampire jagen in Potsdam.

Lyneil Mitchell, DPT, is an entrepreneur & physical therapist based out of Huntington Beach, CA. He's in the process of bringing his patented Wobbler - a physical therapy apparatus specifically designed for the rehabilitation of ACL injuries & the like - to market.I've had the pleasure of working with Lyneil in a number of mastermind sessions led by show alum, Lance Knaub - biweekly calls where we help each other bring our visions into fruition. It's fascinating to learn of the obstacles one faces trying to bring a product like this to market, and Lyneil is chock full of stories about the snares that lie ahead. If you have ambitions for something of this nature, then this episode is for you!Tune in for this energetic conversation at TalkRadio.nyc or watch the Facebook Livestream by clicking here.Show NotesSegment 1Jeremiah introduces his guest, Dr. Lyneil Mitchel, who is a physical therapist and entrepreneur. Lyneil discusses his background of growing up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and the sports environment of Pittsburgh while he lived there. Lyneil explains his educational journey, specifically his time spent in physical therapy (PT) school, and how he became interested in the neurological component of physical therapy. Jeremiah and Lyneil discuss Lyneil's journey postgrad, working for several different colleges, and eventually starting his own private practice. Lyneil also explains his research on non contact ACL injuries for women, where he found no connection between foot and ankle issues and ACL injuries.Segment 2 Lyneil discusses how the lack of resources available to him is what drove him to his niche in physical therapy. Jeremiah retells the story of one of his Jiu Jitsu instructions experience with losing his ACL, and Lyneil discusses how the Balanced Budget Act of 1997 drastically changed what physical therapists do. Jeremiah and Lyneil the importance of turning a negative into a positive, both in physical therapy and in daily life during the Covid-19 pandemic. Lyneil also explains that positivity is a necessity in working with patients in physical therapy, because his goal is to best help people, and putting forth negativity while working will not help patients who are already in a negative state.Segment 3Jeremiah and Lyneil discuss the comparisons with Jiu Jitsu and physical therapy, and how working around the injury is common in Jiu Jitsu, and Lyneil explains the necessity of facing injuries head on with the help of a physical therapist so that the injuries will not return in the future. Lyneil goes on to explain how the technique of continuing to work on the basics throughout one's training, in both physical therapy, and business so your more complex training will be supported by the polished basics. The two discuss how it is helpful for one to keep themselves motivated so that when they see the results of their training, they can be confident that they put forth their best effort regardless of the results themselves.Segment 4Lyneil explains the Wobbler, his patented physical therapy apparatus, and what inspired him to create the Wobbler. Jeremiah and Lyneil discuss the difference between the Wobbler and other exercise equipment, and how using the Wobbler is almost like dancing, and that it focuses on getting one's blood moving. Lyneil explains his and his relatives' experiences with using the Wobbler, as well as how the changes in material from steel to plastic for the Wobbler were necessary to get it to it's best version.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-entrepreneurial-web/donations
Bust out the Purell and take a healthy dose of penicillin because the whores are back in town. On this special -- and occasionally-recurring -- episode of Radical Research, we stroll alongside a pornographic buffet of sumptuous synthesizer vibrations. For this globetrotting, sweaty-browed sojourn, we'll travel from Wuppertal to Richmond to Reykjavik to Los Angeles and all points in between, in search of the scintillating, salacious, and sometimes surprisingly-subtle sounds of the synthesizer. Go ahead, turn out the lights, strap on the headphones, and live a little. Note I: Jeff brainfarted and called Wobbler's 2017 album “From Somewhere to Silence.” It is, of course, called From Silence to Somewhere. And it is, indeed, one of the best progressive rock albums in decades.
