An artist series featuring the music of Mumford & Sons was this week. New Extra Steps and % Hike classes were released this past week. Peloton held some live German classes with members in studio to wrap up the Spring challenge. There are in-person running events in London, New York, and Toronto for Global Running Day Peloton highlighted some classes in "This Week at Peloton." Peloton also has their apparel on sale for Memorial Day, and is giving away a set of Tunde's new apparel. Happy Birthday to Ash Pryor & Christian Vande Velde this week. Americana singer-songwriter and guitarist Shakey Graves returned to Big Top following the celebratory reissue of his acclaimed debut album of Roll The Bones X. With his breakthrough debut album, Roll The Bones, self-released in 2011, Shakey Graves quickly developed a cult following, and began his extensive touring career, sharing stages with artists like Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Mumford & Sons and Old Crow Medicine Show. Roll The Bones, catapulted the singer/songwriter into national visibility and lead to the artist signing to Dulatone Records for future studio releases which included 2014's And The War Came and 2018's Can't Wake Up. In subsequent years, Shakey Graves has continued to experiment with his approach to the songwriting process and has explored more expansive full-band sounds while venturing into more psychedelic territory through many smaller EP releases including Look Alive, release in 2021. Americana singer-songwriter and guitarist Shakey Graves returned to Big Top following the celebratory reissue of his acclaimed debut album of Roll The Bones X. With his breakthrough debut album, Roll The Bones, self-released in 2011, Shakey Graves quickly developed a cult following, and began his extensive touring career, sharing stages with artists like Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Mumford & Sons and Old Crow Medicine Show. Roll The Bones, catapulted the singer/songwriter into national visibility and lead to the artist signing to Dulatone Records for future studio releases which included 2014's And The War Came and 2018's Can't Wake Up. In subsequent years, Shakey Graves has continued to experiment with his approach to the songwriting process and has explored more expansive full-band sounds while venturing into more psychedelic territory through many smaller EP releases including Look Alive, release in 2021. His knack for storytelling and an enigmatic stage presence immediately draws listeners into his strange narrative world. The musician has captivated audiences and critics alike with his gnarly composite of blues and folk, variety of idiosyncratic techniques, drastic register shifts, and his off-kilter lyric sensibility masked with old-timey Western imagery, the Austin native is truly a one-man-band of epic sonic proportions. After founding Mumford & Sons nearly 15 years ago, Marcus Mumford has stepped out on his own with a deeply personal new solo album. Willie Geist got together with Marcus in New York for a "Sunday Sitdown."

"In these bodies, we will live. In these bodies, we will die. And where you invest your love, you invest your life." - Mumford & Sons. This is one of the most potent lyrics the band has ever written, inspiring this podcast episode. I believe this quote is about self-love and finding out about yourself and who you are. When we learn to love ourselves, we also express love to others more powerfully and intentionally. You can alter the way you see things, and it is your self-love that helps you become the best version of yourself. In this episode, I take this lyric and define what self-love is and why it is essential. I explore the differences between healthy and unhealthy self-love and provide several examples of self-love that you can recognize in your own life. I use the stories of Asiya and Melissa to illustrate how they overcame their situations to find self-love and the change that it brought about. I then go into three ways to learn self-love and why it can be challenging.
