English folklore is full of peculiarities. The legends of the so-called screaming skulls are definitely among them. These are skulls kept in mansions and farmhouses, sometimes considered to be guardians of the property. Legends abound of the violent deeds done to the owners of the skulls. But many of these stories come with hauntings attached if the skulls are disturbed. When I asked why I had been called there (to those unseen spirits in the space) they said no one does this here. So we asked for a bit of light and those who wished to go were on their way. Der erste DLC zu Nioh mit dem Namen Dragon of the North bring uns zurück nach Japan, wo ein neues Abenteuer auf uns wartet. Die Geschichte geht also nahtlos weiter und ich vermute stark, dass die ausstehenden 2 DLCs die Geschichte ebenfalls weiterführen werden. So bekommen wir sinnvolle Content-Elemente, die uns weiter führen in die Welt der Yokai. Apropos von denen gibt es natürlich auch ein paar neue, aber im Grunde wurden viele Designs aus der Hauptstory einfach wieder verwertet. Auch im Ganzen betrachtet ist Dragon of the Norh nichts Neues. Gebäude und Umgebungen bleiben dem Stil des Hauptgames treu. Das ist auch gar nicht so schlecht, denn eigentlich sollte man den DLC als das sehen, was er ist, eine Fortsetzung. Daher musste man hier das Rad nicht neu erfinden. Neu dazu kommen jedoch einige Guardian Spirits und auch eine neue Waffe, die mir persönlich sehr gut gefällt. Mit dem Odachi, einem übergroßen Katana, kann man die Gegner mit etwas mehr Distanz zerschnibbeln und sieht dabei auch richtig cool aus. Japaner lieben einfach große Waffen, siehe Final Fanatsy und Co. Ansonsten gibt es auch noch einen härteren Schwierigkeitsgrad, der aber eher nice to have ist, denn eigentlich ist der DLC auch schon so knackig genug. Aber wer es noch herausfordernder mag, ist damit gut bedient. Für insgesamt knapp 10€ und einem Umfang von 2-4 Stunden ist der DLC ok, wer das Komplettpaket mit allen DLCs möchte, der ist mit 25€ gut dabei.
