Much has been written on this much-debated topic, and they frequently refer to Daniel 10 as a chapter that speaks explicitly of territorial spirits. A key passage for their existence is found in Daniel 10 where the spirit princes of Persia and Greece are mentioned specifically. These evil spiritual beings are described as ruling over an area with explicitly defined boundaries. Daniel 10 is crucial for the study of cosmic powers over the peoples of the earth. Does Daniel 10:13 and 20 speak of demons governing their respective nations? Or was Michael referring to human princes who opposed God's intervention in favor of Israel? Is there any other scriptural evidence to support territorial spirits like Paul's principalities and powers in Ephesians? Daniel is standing by the Tigris River when confronted by a Theophany, an appearance of the pre-incarnate Christ. He is dropped to the ground, but lifted by a Messenger angel sent from the LORD to inform Daniel of what his vision about future warfare meant. The Messenger from God had been in battle for 3 weeks with the prince of Persia, a fallen angel, who resisted God in all ways. Assigned demonic spirits seek for compromised humans as a doorway to carry out the mission of principalities over realms, regions, and cities. If we all negative thoughts, orgies, and carnal activities to reside in our minds, we have directly empowered the territorial spirits to gain access to societies. Several years ago, I read an unusual story in World Map, a missionary magazine, which caught my attention. It involved a missionary who was ministering in Uruguay near the Brazilian border. He was doing some tract distribution one Saturday morning in a town where the main street sat on the actual border between Uruguay and Brazil.
