Huge opened up the show today by breaking down the recently released Big Ten College Football schedule for the fall. He also went through all of the NCAA precautions and rules for the season that the teams will be following. Most of the stipulations are connected to what happens if there's a Covid outbreak and how to keep the players protected. To go along with the schedule being released, Bill asked the audience the Huge Question of the Day: what do you think of the U-M/MSU conference only schedule? In our first hour we stepped aside from the NCAA football discussion by talking about the first few days of NBA play with Jason Jackson. Huge and Jason talked about what they're seeing that they like, the success of the bubble and NBA, and much more. In our second hour, we kept the conversation rolling about the Big Ten schedule and the likelihood of a season even happening. We were joined by Tim May to get an OSU perspective on the schedule, and to give his opinion on how he feels about the season getting going, and much more. We were then joined by Graham Couch to talk about the MSU schedule. Graham and Huge also discussed the moves that Mel Tucker has been making in the offseason. Graham gave his thoughts on the possibility of the season as well. In our final hour, MHSAA Executive Director Mark Uyl joined the Huge Show with the latest plan for fall high school sports in Michigan. MHSAA Executive Director Mark Uyl joined the Huge Show with the latest plan for fall High School sports in Michigan. Mark filled us in on their decision to push back padded football practice and explained what this means for how things will play out. He also let us know how coaches will be able work with kids, the equipment the athletes will be allowed to wear, and much more. Come August 20, Mark and his team will evaluate how the high schools handled practices. From there, the MHSAA will set certain guidelines in place to start the competitive fall sports season. Huge asked the audience how they feel about sending their kids back to school this fall and if they're comfortable with their child participating in sports. Huge continued the discussion about how the high school sports fall season will look for student athletes. We took your comments on if you would send you child back to play fall sports or not. Then we wanted to take a look at what some of the colleges in the state are doing in this point in time as it pertains to football. Ferris State Bulldogs Head Coach Tony Annese joined us in our first segment to give us an update. We were then joined by Grand Valley Lakers Head Coach Matt Mitchell for his take on how things are being handled as well.
