The Storm - This can be anything from divorce, depression, anxiety etc. A lot of people, maybe YOU, are in a storm right now. You will make it through the storm, but you will need help. Some people are born with a drive often seen in entrepreneurs, pro-athletes, inventors, adventurers and Navy SEALs. It's in their DNA — research has shown that certain genes can manifest resilient and highly focused people who can also be impulsive and easily distracted. While these traits enabled our ancient ancestors to survive, if you have these traits today, it can create havoc in your life. You may be diagnosed with ADHD or OCD. But what the world tells you is a disorder may actually be your greatest gift. Dr. Doug Brackmann is a distinguished psychologist, author of Driven: Understanding and Harnessing the Genetic Gifts Shared by Entrepreneurs, Navy SEALs, Pro Athletes, and Maybe YOU and creator of the Driven Assessment and Shooting Meditation. With dual PhDs in Psychology, Douglas Brackmann specializes in practices that hone in on the genetic gifts of roughly 10% of the population. Dr. Doug has spent his entire career working with top performers to help them overcome their limiting beliefs, stop their cycle of shame, and achieve the ultimate personal and professional successes. He has now turned his sights on developing content, tools, and even a Driven community to empower Driven people everywhere to end self-sabotage and live the life they've always wanted.   Connect with Dr. Doug here: Email: meghan@IAMdriven.com www.iamdriven.com https://www.linkedin.com/in/douglasbrackmann/ 1(858) 735.1667   Stay tuned for more great guests on The CJEvolution Podcast   www.cjevolution.com   Patrick

She is the first guest I have had on the podcast in a long time and it was an honor talking with her. SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCE: David III (Bridget's son) stopped in to say hi and wave. =) Bridget Truxillo is the Founder and CEO of Protective Wellness. Bridget knows the challenges law enforcement officers face, both outside and inside their agencies based on her experiences as a Deputy Sheriff in Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida. Bridget started out in Patrol, but very quickly transferred to the  Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit (NOCU), and also became the only female member of  the SWAT team.  During her time in the NOCU, Bridget routinely conducted undercover buys of narcotics and effectuated many arrest and search warrants as a result of her undercover operations.  While on the SWAT team, Bridget participated in serving search warrants, active shooter and hostage situations, competed twice in SWAT Round-up International  (an International SWAT competition), as well as many hundreds of hours of training. Although being a Deputy Sheriff allowed Bridget to serve the public, Bridget realized she wanted to find a way to serve the law enforcement and first responder community directly so she left law enforcement to attend law school as a means to glean the knowledge and skills necessary for this purpose. After 13+ years practicing law in civil litigation, Bridget was able to curate a unique business dedicated to representing and supporting law enforcement officers and first responders. Bridget is a graduate of the University of Florida (Go Gators!) with a B.S. degree in Environmental Horticulture (yes, she really likes plants), and the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Miami, FL with a J.D.  Bridget is licensed to practice law in Texas, Florida, New York and Louisiana, and lives in Houston, TX with her beautiful, smart, and fun husband and three kids. This application-based technology is a must have for your organization. Check out their link at www.cjevolution.com Such and honor to have Donna Brown on the show. She is a successful author, speaker and retired Police Sergeant. In Donna's own words. I had an idea for a book for quite some time but never chose to put "pen to paper" until 2017. "Behind and Beyond the Badge" was born out of passion for all of the good, honest and hardworking law enforcement officers who put on the uniform each day. And that goes for all first responders. The book took two gold medals in nonfiction at the Florida Authors and Publishers Presidents Book awards, a national competition. With that and the overwhelmingly positive feedback I received I decided to write Volume II. People don't know what it's like to do the job but they truly want to know more. The books are a collection of stories about individuals who have done or are doing the job. Police officers, firefighters, dispatchers, EMTS/Paramedics, crime scene technicians and victim advocates. They have truly opened their hearts to let people in and talk about "the good, the bad and the ugly." Their stories might surprise you. In 2018, Volume I won gold medals in two non-fiction categories in the Florida Authors and Publishers President's Book Awards, a national competition. In 2019, Volume II was a finalist in Non-Fiction:True Crime in the International Book Awards and won two medals in the Florida Authors and Publishers President's Book Awards in Non-Fiction and Political/Current Events. Both Volume's are now available on Amazon and Barnes and Nobles in eBook, paperback and hardcover. Visit behindandbeyondthebadge.com for reviews and excerpts! Donna and I hit on a lot of different topics in the law enforcement realm. From the challenges law enforcement faces, to developing the proper mindset. Such a great show. You can find Donna here: http://behindandbeyondthebadge.com/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/donnabrownsigfla/ https://www.amazon.com/Behind-Beyond-Badge-II/dp/B08J1GPSXN/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=donna+brown&qid=1626286269&s=books&sr=1-1   Stay tuned for more great guests on The CJEvolution Podcast   www.cjevolution.com

Tom is prepared to draw back the curtain on the little-known and misunderstood world of the CIA protective operations—security teams who work on the front lines in some of the most dangerous places in the world, doing battle with America's most determined enemies in the War on Terror and more. Somalia was Pecora's first deployment as a CIA Protective Operations Cadre (POC) officer, responsible for providing protective operations support in hostile areas of the world. He later headed up a series of the Agency's undisclosed protective operations teams. From 1989 until his retirement in 2013, he was assigned to multiple war zones across Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, doing the kind of work few are even aware exists. But it does, and Pecora's direct involvement allowed him to work behind the scenes of some of the most well-known conflicts of our time, including the infamous encounter known as Black Hawk Down, the hunt for Osama Bin Laden, and the hotbeds across the Middle East where fires continue to burn. Over the course of a career that saw him receive the Career Intelligence Medal, Intelligence Star, Meritorious Unit Citation, and numerous Exceptional Performance Awards, Pecora distinguished himself as a Protective Operations Cadre (POC) member and as a CIA Security Officer. And now he's prepared to shed light on the world of clandestine protective operations and the selfless, heroic warriors dedicated to keeping the United States safe at all costs. She is passionate about giving back and helping cultivate happy, healthy, lasting relationships. Zanna knows what it's like to have Christmas morning at 4:00 am so dad can be there to see what Santa brought. She knows what it is to kiss your husband goodbye not knowing if he will come home, to get that call in the middle of the night, to have your whole world turned upside down, to watch the man you love be broken by losing the career that held his heart. Jeff found his calling when he began his career in law enforcement. He was born into a law enforcement family so you could say it was in his blood. His passion is to serve, protect and make a difference. He was committed to taking criminals off the streets that he took so much pride in protecting. Jeff earned the respect of his law enforcement family, the citizens of Sunnyvale, friends and family. He had a way of making everyone feel like they truly mattered by just taking the time to listen. The career he loved was cut short when a suspect viewed him as a threat to his freedom and chose to run him down with his stolen vehicle. Gary earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1991 and a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1993.  He spent 26 years serving as a Submarine Officer in the U.S. Navy, including commanding the nuclear attack submarine USS TUCSON from 2009-2011 and retiring as a Captain.  His career was rewarding both personally and professionally with unforgettable opportunities to work with highly trained teams employing state of the art technology in support of our Nation and its ideals.  It was the type of work that left no doubt it directly contributed to the balance of power across the world and the sustainment of personal freedoms across the globe.  But as with any intense calling or career, two decades in the Navy and many deployments had stressed things at home and delayed other important pursuits.  In 2011 Gary began a process of replacing his traditional earned income with passive cash flow by purchasing income producing real estate properties.  Today, Gary is a wealth strategist, professional speaker and real estate investor. He first learned about the Perpetual Wealth Strategy and Wealth Maximization Accounts (WMAs), then more commonly known as the Infinite Banking Concept (IBC), while purchasing his first income property in 2011.  Utilizing Paradigm Life's education process, Gary established a WMA to fund this first investment and has repeated the process as he works to continue building passive income sources.  This journey had a huge impact on Gary's understanding of what personal financial security and success are and how best to achieve them – he recognized how far he and most Americans had moved away from sound financial principles that emphasize building a strong foundation focusing on safety and security, and pursuing dependable, consistent growth of their assets. Wall Street convinced families to hand over their hard-earned dollars and all control, to hold on through frequent, turbulent market swings and exorbitant fees – it hasn't worked for most Americans, and it won't work. Gary joined Patrick Donohoe at Paradigm Life to help educate others and reverse this trend.  Originally from a dairy farm in rural Southern Illinois, Gary now lives with his wife, Sue, and their two sons on the central New Jersey coast.  You can find Gary here:   http://garypinkerton.com/   https://paradigmlife.net/about/gary-pinkerton/   https://paradigmlife.net/blog/author/gary-pinkerton/   https://www.linkedin.com/in/garywpinkerton/   Stay tuned for more great shows on the CJEvolution Podcast.   www.cjevolution.com   Patrick

Detectachem is doing their part to protect our brave men and women in the military and in law enforcement. Check out how his great company can help your organization. Head over to www.cjevolution.com and click the Detectachem link. In this episode Patrick welcome Officer Deon Joseph. Officer Joseph is a law enforcement consultant who has worked for the LAPD for over 24 years, twenty-two of those years in downtown Los Angeles' Skid Row community. From patrolling the streets or providing a shoulder for the community to lean on to meeting with public figures and advocating for change, Deon is driven to create an environment conducive to change for the homeless and those trying to reclaim their lives from the grip of addiction. He is an honest, faithful, passionate and caring man – traits he pours into his daily life and activities. For the past ten years, Deon has served as Senior Lead Officer in charge of safety of the people that live on Skid Row. Deon was able to help change the culture of Skid Row along with his fellow officers, via a grassroots approach as opposed to handcuffs. Over time, Deon discovered that he could not simply make arrests with any hopes of making lasting changes on Skid Row. Coupled with reducing crime in Skid Row, Deon helped build a better relationship between the LAPD and the homeless population they serve.  Deon is considered a subject matter expert on Skid Row crime and culture and has been sought out by multiple news organizations, filmmakers, and politicians to speak on issues related to Skid Row.  To accomplish changes to the culture of Skid Row, Deon collaborated with the community to develop programs such as the “Just Like U” Mentor program, which began in 2006 at the Union Rescue Mission.  The program was designed to motivate kids living in poverty to see themselves beyond their negative circumstance by placing mentors in front of them who have become successful, but whose lives mirrored the lives of the children.   In 2008, Deon created an education safety and self-defense seminar focused on the women of Skid Row called “Ladies Night.”  The goal of this program was to ensure that the women of Skid Row understood that no matter their race, criminal background or socioeconomic status, they had a fundamental right to report domestic violence and sexual abuse committed against them, and they would not be penalized for doing so.  In 2009, Deon began an outreach program with seven other officers that included passing out hygiene kits, as well as drug, housing, and job program information to the homeless to guide them away from the streets and into area programs. Working with housing programs within and outside of Skid Row, Deon was able to help house over 100 homeless people over eight years who were truly ready to take a chance and change their lives for the better. Deon along with his fellow officers were responsible for a 40% reduction in overall crime in Skid Row, and a 32% reduction in death from 2005 to 2009. Deon, with the help of the Skid Row community, has aggressively focused crime-fighting efforts on drug dealers who are not homeless and come down to Skid Row to sell drugs and alcohol inside and outside of the drug programs. Deon goes beyond policing the community of Skid Row, he has become a part of it, establishing relationships with a community that most believed would be impossible to do. Deon is proud to be able to show love to the people of Skid Row from an unexpected place. “I just want to be a strong voice in ending homelessness, saving women from being victimized and changing the negative culture and perception of police in the community,” he remarks. Although Deon does not engage in his efforts for accolades, he has been honored citywide and nationally for his work.  Deon's selflessness was instilled in him by his heroes, his parents. His parents dedicated their lives to helping others whether they were homeless, abused children or anyone else who needed support. Embracing the early examples and life lessons of his parents, Deon personifies a legacy of community outreach and support that he hopes his own three sons will pass onto the world.    Find Officer Joseph here:   http://www.deonjoseph.org/   Stay tuned for more great shows on the CJEvolution Podcast   Patrick
