It removes much of the detailed framework created in 2022 and gives immigration officers broader discretion to consider means-tested public benefits when determining whether certain applicants could become a “public charge.” The government says the change promotes self-sufficiency and restores discretion intended by federal immigration law. New York Attorney General Letitia James and other state officials argue the rule exceeds DHS authority and leaves families uncertain about which benefits could affect an application. A separate coalition involving New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, Santa Clara County, and King County has also filed suit. AOC and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani are facing intense criticism after cameras captured them appearing to laugh during the solemn reading of victims' names at the 25th-anniversary 9/11 ceremony at Ground Zero. The footage created an especially jarring contrast as grieving relatives gathered to honor the 2,977 people killed on September 11, 2001, along with the victims of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. The annual name-reading lasted approximately four hours and remained the emotional centerpiece of the commemoration. We do not know what prompted the brief exchange. BREAKING: The Trump administration has unveiled a sweeping new proposal that could put the federal tax-exempt status of as many as 18,000 private schools, colleges, universities, professional schools, and trade schools on the line.Under the proposed Treasury Department and IRS regulations, private educational institutions could lose their 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status if they maintain policies or programs that discriminate or provide preferences based on race, color, or national or ethnic origin. The proposal reaches far beyond college admissions. It could apply to scholarships, financial assistance, athletics, educational programs, facilities, and other school-supported activities. The administration says this is about enforcing one uniform standard: racial discrimination does not become acceptable simply because it is called diversity, equity, or inclusion.Schools would still be allowed to help disadvantaged students using race-neutral criteria—including family income, geography, first-generation status, individual hardship, military-family status, and academic achievement. But there is an important distinction: this is currently a proposed regulation, not a completed mass revocation of schools' tax exemptions. If finalized, it would apply to tax years beginning on or after May 31, 2027.In this episode of The Nez Report, Professor Nez breaks down what Trump has proposed, why tax-exempt status gives the administration enormous leverage, which institutions could be affected, and what happens next.Do you support ending tax-exempt status for schools that use race-based preferences? BREAKING: President Trump's Justice Department has closed a 28-year-old immigration loophole—and every state is now on notice. The DOJ Office of Legal Counsel has withdrawn a restrictive Clinton-era opinion from 1998. Under the DOJ's restored interpretation of the 1996 welfare-reform law, all component agencies of states participating in TANF and SSI—not merely the agencies administering those programs—are covered by federal reporting requirements involving people known to be unlawfully present in the United States.Under the TANF provision, states must provide DHS with names, addresses and other identifying information at least four times each year and whenever DHS requests it.All 50 states, Washington, D.C., and several U.S. territories currently participate in TANF and SSI. DOJ also warns that failure to comply with federal requirements could carry serious consequences, potentially including the loss of program funding. This does not automatically deport anyone or independently authorize an ICE operation. But it could give DHS significantly more information for lawful immigration enforcement—and dramatically weaken the ability of state agencies to withhold what they know.In this episode of THE NEZ REPORT, Professor Nez explains:• What the Clinton-era opinion protected• What the Trump DOJ just changed• Which state agencies are affected• What information must be reported• Why sanctuary jurisdictions are now facing a major decision• How DHS and ICE could potentially use the information• What legal and political challenges could come nextPrimary sources:DOJ announcement:https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/justice-department-clarifies-duty-states-report-known-illegal-aliens-under-welfare-reformFull Office of Legal Counsel opinion:https://www.justice.gov/olc/media/1459981/dlSubscribe and turn on notifications for straightforward coverage of the Trump administration, immigration enforcement, breaking political news and the fight to restore law and order in America.#Trump #DOJ #ImmigrationWATCH THIS NEXT: https://youtube.com/live/toO0iiLgJSc?feature=shareFor free and unbiased Medicare help, dial (656) 218-0931 to speak with my trusted partner, Chapter, or go to https://askchapter.org/nez✅ Reach out to me: https://bio.site/professornez✅ ORIGINAL MADE IN U.S.A 250TH AMERICA DESIGNS: https://professornez.myspreadshop.com/✅ Check out our Official Clips Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@professornezclips▶ Support the Channel and Buy us a Coffee: https://buymeacoffee.com/professornez
A 220–192–2 House vote is setting off a major political fight in Washington.H. Res. 1490 condemned and denounced socialism “in all its forms,” reaffirmed that American elections are for American citizens, and called for enactment of the SAVE America Act.All Republicans and eight Democrats voted yes. A total of 192 Democrats voted no, while two Democrats voted present. In this video, Professor Nez breaks down:• The exact language Congress voted on• Why Republicans say the result exposes a defining ideological divide• Why some Democrats say the SAVE America Act language made the resolution a political trap• What the resolution changes—and what it does not• Why this vote could become a major midterm campaign issueImportant context: H. Res. 1490 is nonbinding and did not enact the SAVE America Act. Because the resolution bundled multiple provisions together, a no vote establishes opposition to the complete resolution but does not, by itself, establish agreement or disagreement with every individual clause.Read the resolution:https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/BILLS-119hres1490ih/xhtml/BILLS-119hres1490ih.htmlWhat do you believe this vote reveals about the direction of the Democratic Party—and how much does the SAVE America Act language affect your interpretation?Subscribe to Professor Nez for breaking political news, fact-based analysis and straightforward explanations of what happens next. For free and unbiased Medicare help, dial (656) 218-0931 to speak with my trusted partner, Chapter, or go to https://askchapter.org/nez✅ Reach out to me: https://bio.site/professornez✅ ORIGINAL MADE IN U.S.A 250TH AMERICA DESIGNS: https://professornez.myspreadshop.com/✅ Check out our Official Clips Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@professornezclips▶ Support the Channel and Buy us a Coffee: https://buymeacoffee.com/professornez#HouseVote #Socialism #Democrats #Congress #HRes1490 #SAVEAmericaAct #ElectionIntegrity #VoterID #2026Midterms #BreakingNews #PoliticalNews #USPolitics #ProfessorNez #NezNation
President Donald Trump just jumped headfirst into the battle for Texas. As Trump prepares to head to Texas in support of Republican Senate nominee Ken Paxton, the President unleashed a rapid-fire series of posts targeting Democratic nominee James Talarico — highlighting old clips, mocking his political positions and branding him with a new nickname in front of reporters. And Trump wasn't finished. In this video, Professor Nez breaks down what Trump actually said, the posts and clips that are exploding online, the context behind some of Talarico's most controversial past remarks, and why Trump is suddenly putting so much attention on this Texas Senate race. The stakes are much bigger than internet memes.Recent polling has shown an unusually competitive Texas Senate contest, while Talarico has enjoyed a major advertising advantage. Now Trump is signaling that he intends to spend significant time helping Paxton — potentially turning this race into one of the biggest political fights of the 2026 midterms. We'll separate what Trump is claiming from what has independently been verified and examine what his intervention could mean going forward.

President Donald Trump just delivered an absolutely classic Trump moment at the White House — and the room couldn't contain itself.
ICE agents are facing an increasingly volatile political climate as confrontations, threats and anti-ICE sentiment continue making headlines across America. At the same time, some of the nation's most prominent Democratic leaders have repeatedly described ICE using extraordinarily inflammatory language — calling agents and the agency everything from “secret police” and “thugs” to a “rogue force” that is “terrorizing communities.”Critics now argue that political rhetoric surrounding immigration enforcement is contributing to an increasingly dangerous environment for federal law enforcement officers. Democrats counter that they are demanding accountability, constitutional protections, body cameras, identification requirements and reforms to ICE operations. So where is the line between legitimate criticism of government power and rhetoric that dangerously escalates an already volatile situation?Professor Nez breaks down what has been said, what's happening on the ground, and the larger political battle erupting over ICE, immigration enforcement and public safety in America.Watch until the end and tell me what YOU think:Has the rhetoric surrounding ICE gone too far — or are lawmakers justified in using increasingly aggressive language to demand reforms?
Vice President JD Vance just laid out what he believes is the REAL way to stop the growing appeal of socialism among young Americans — and his message to conservatives was remarkably direct.Vance argues that slogans about the free market aren't enough. Instead, Americans need an economy where young people can afford homes, find good-paying jobs, start families, get an education and participate in the American Dream. His warning is especially striking: if conservatives fail to make life better for younger generations, they shouldn't be surprised when those voters become attracted to socialism.Vance also connected his argument to President Trump's economic agenda, American investment, middle-class jobs, housing affordability and interest rates. In this video, Professor Nez breaks down Vance's argument, why it matters, and what it could mean for the future of the conservative movement and American politics.Do you agree with JD Vance? Is improving affordability the most effective way to counter socialism? Let me know below.
Joe Rogan just delivered one of his most emotional and explosive statements yet about Dr. Anthony Fauci and the COVID vaccine controversy.During the discussion, Rogan claimed that he personally knows five women who became pregnant during the pandemic, received the COVID vaccine, and later suffered miscarriages. He then accused Fauci of knowing privately about potential concerns while continuing to publicly encourage vaccination.Rogan did not hold back:“I personally know 5 different people…”He went even further, calling Fauci a “sociopath” and urging people to examine Fauci's history going all the way back to the AIDS crisis and AZT.In this video, Professor Nez breaks down Rogan's remarks, the allegations surrounding Fauci, why this moment became so emotional, and what questions Americans should be asking now.Important: The statements regarding vaccines, miscarriage, and Dr. Fauci discussed in this video are claims and opinions attributed to Joe Rogan. Temporal association does not by itself establish that a vaccine caused a miscarriage, and this video is commentary rather than medical advice.
President Trump just discovered something about White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt — and apparently he is VERY “concerned.”
A California murder case is raising explosive new questions about pretrial release, public safety, sanctuary policies, and accountability in the criminal justice system.Marcos Eduardo Iriarte-Valdez was already facing residential burglary charges when police say he was taken back into custody on August 4 for allegedly violating the conditions of his home detention. On August 5, a judge ordered him released on his own recognizance and returned him to electronic monitoring. The next day, prosecutors allege that Iriarte-Valdez stabbed 68-year-old retiree Todd Stewart to death while committing a residential burglary in Martinez, California. Even more astonishing: the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office says prosecutors had objected to electronic home detention for Iriarte-Valdez three separate times. He has since pleaded not guilty to the murder charge and was ordered held without bail after another judge called him a risk to public safety. DHS has also entered the controversy, describing Iriarte-Valdez as a Venezuelan national with Spanish citizenship who had originally been legally admitted to the United States in 2007 and placing an immigration detainer on him after the homicide. The political dispute over California's immigration and sanctuary policies is now intensifying. In this episode, Professor Nez breaks down the timeline, the release decision, the warnings from prosecutors, the immigration controversy, and the questions Americans should be asking about accountability when defendants accused of serious crimes are repeatedly returned to the streets. What do YOU think? Should judges face greater accountability for release decisions involving repeat offenders? AOC just said something about the “woke” era that almost nobody expected to hear.During an appearance on ABC's *This Week*, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was confronted with questions surrounding the rhetoric of 2020, including calls to defund police and controversial past positions from progressive candidates. Her response?“Woke 1 was crazy.”AOC also acknowledged that rhetoric used during the lockdown era is “not rhetoric that we would use today.”That raises a much bigger question: what changed? With speculation already building around AOC's political future and a possible 2028 run, we're examining her newest comments alongside the positions and rhetoric that defined the progressive movement just a few years ago.Is this simply political evolution—or are we watching the beginning of a major political repositioning?Watch the clips, compare the record, and decide for yourself.Subscribe and turn on notifications for breaking political news, analysis, and commentary. For free and unbiased Medicare help, dial (656) 218-0931 to speak with my trusted partner, Chapter, or go to https://askchapter.org/nez✅ Reach out to me: https://bio.site/professornez✅ ORIGINAL MADE IN U.S.A 250TH AMERICA DESIGNS: https://professornez.myspreadshop.com/✅ Check out our Official Clips Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@professornezclips▶ Support the Channel and Buy us a Coffee: https://buymeacoffee.com/professornezEducational Commentary & Original AnalysisThis channel presents educational, lecture-style analysis created by a university professor and educator. BREAKING: Senators Ron Johnson and Rand Paul have begun releasing text messages obtained from Dr. Anthony Fauci's government-issued phone — and one newly released January 2021 conversation is already raising major questions. In a January 25, 2021 exchange involving Fauci, then-CDC Director Rochelle Walensky and Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, Fauci discussed COVID vaccination during pregnancy and raised a theoretical concern that the inflammatory response and fever following the second dose could potentially be associated with miscarriage during the first trimester. Walensky responded that it was “definitely a good point.”The newly released exchange is particularly noteworthy because federal officials subsequently issued public reassurances regarding COVID vaccination during pregnancy. The senators' release points, for example, to a February 3, 2021 Fauci statement saying regulators had found no red flags regarding pregnant women.Johnson and Paul say the government-issued phone contains more than 34,000 texts and 522 voicemails, and that reviewing the material has only begun. In this video, Professor Nez breaks down exactly what the newly released texts say, what they do and do not establish, how Fauci's private discussion compares with later public messaging, and why these records could reignite the debate over transparency, informed consent and America's pandemic response.Watch until the end and decide for yourself: Did the American public get the full picture? DiJonai Carrington was EJECTED from the Chicago Sky's matchup against the Indiana Fever after a hard foul on Sophie Cunningham during a layup attempt — but what happened AFTER the ejection has ignited an entirely new WNBA controversy.Officials reviewed the play and upgraded Carrington's foul to a Flagrant 2, resulting in an automatic ejection. Carrington then took to Threads and posted “WHITE PRIVILEGE,” tagging the Indiana Fever.Sophie Cunningham wasn't buying it.Cunningham pushed back on the suggestion that race had anything to do with the decision, pointing out that she herself has previously been ejected after committing a hard foul. Now the incident is exploding far beyond basketball and reigniting a much larger conversation surrounding race, politics, accountability and identity politics inside professional sports. Was the Flagrant 2 justified? And what do you make of Carrington's “WHITE PRIVILEGE” response?Sound off in the comments.
Charlie Kirk warned in his final days about what he viewed as a dangerous political alliance between radical Marxist ideology and Islamism. The controversy surrounding Sophie Cunningham and the WNBA just reached another level.During Sunday's Indiana Fever–Minnesota Lynx game, Cunningham was met with boos after speaking publicly about protecting women's sports and female-only competition. Minnesota Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve appeared courtside wearing a “Trans Kids Belong” shirt, while supporters and opposing activists gathered outside Target Center in Minneapolis. What should have been a basketball game became the center of a much larger cultural battle over fairness, safety, free expression, transgender participation, and the future of women's athletics.Inside the arena, supporters displayed signs thanking Sophie Cunningham for speaking up. Outside, demonstrators advocating for single-sex women's sports were confronted by opposing activists as security and police worked to keep the competing groups separated.Meanwhile, Cunningham refused to be distracted and remained focused on basketball—even as the crowd reacted whenever she touched the ball. The Minnesota Lynx ultimately defeated the Indiana Fever 108–100, ending Indiana's five-game winning streak. Rookie Olivia Miles led Minnesota with 28 points, while Courtney Williams added 27.But the final score may not be what people remember most.In this video, Professor Nez examines what happened inside and outside the arena, the WNBA's increasingly political environment, the treatment of athletes and fans who defend female sports categories, and why this controversy could become a defining moment for the league.Do you believe Sophie Cunningham was treated fairly? Should women be permitted to voice concerns about fairness and safety without being vilified?Share your thoughts respectfully in the comments.Subscribe and turn on notifications for independent political commentary, breaking news, and analysis from Professor Nez.#WNBA #SophieCunningham #WomensSportsFor free and unbiased Medicare help, dial (656) 218-0931 to speak with my trusted partner, Chapter, or go to https://askchapter.org/nez✅ Reach out to me: https://bio.site/professornez✅ ORIGINAL MADE IN U.S.A 250TH AMERICA DESIGNS: https://professornez.myspreadshop.com/✅ Check out our Official Clips Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@professornezclips▶ Support the Channel and Buy us a Coffee: https://buymeacoffee.com/professornezEducational Commentary & Original AnalysisThis channel presents educational, lecture-style analysis created by a university professor and educator. President Trump was asked about New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani's government-supported grocery-store initiative—and Trump immediately turned the conversation toward one of America's biggest election debates: voter identification and proof of citizenship.“I wish they also had to show identification to enter the voting booth,” Trump responded, arguing that identification should be required when Americans cast their ballots. In this video, Professor Nez breaks down Trump's viral response, the debate surrounding voter ID, Mamdani's municipal grocery-store plan and why this exchange is generating such a massive reaction across the country. Was Trump's response the perfect way to expose a political double standard—or are these two completely different issues? President Trump has officially launched the Freedom Haulers initiative—and it could become one of the most consequential America-first workforce moves of his presidency. The new campaign is designed to connect America's military veterans with careers in the trucking industry while strengthening safety and accountability on the nation's highways. Veterans with qualifying military driving experience may be able to fast-track their commercial driver's licenses, receive assistance with training and pursue trucking opportunities offering strong salaries, medical benefits, flexible schedules and potential sign-on bonuses. At the same time, the Trump administration is intensifying enforcement against improperly issued commercial driver's licenses and drivers who fail federal qualification or English-proficiency requirements.President Trump says American roads have been endangered for years by unqualified drivers operating massive commercial vehicles—and he wants trained, disciplined American veterans ready to take their place. Is Freedom Haulers the ultimate America-first solution: safer highways, better jobs and new opportunities for the men and women who served our country?Watch the full report, share your reaction in the comments and subscribe for breaking political news and analysis from Professor Nez.Do you support fast-tracking qualified American veterans into high-paying trucking careers? An IRGC-linked Iranian news agency has reportedly released a deeply disturbing propaganda video targeting First Lady Melania Trump and President Donald Trump's son, Barron Trump. The video reportedly focuses on Melania's movements and locations she has frequented before ending with a direct warning aimed at Barron: “You should wait for us.”This is not ordinary political rhetoric. Publishing information about a person's routines while directing threatening language toward that person and their family represents a dangerous escalation in intimidation and propaganda. In this video, Professor Nez breaks down what was published, why the reported message is so serious, the connection between Tasnim News Agency and Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and what this could mean as tensions between the United States and the Iranian regime continue escalating.Regardless of anyone's politics, targeting a president's spouse and child in this manner should be condemned unequivocally.Watch until the end, share this report, and tell me in the comments: How should the United States respond to a threat like this?Subscribe to Professor Nez for breaking political news, independent commentary, fact-checking, and analysis of the stories affecting America. Dr. Anthony Fauci repeatedly invoked his Fifth Amendment rights during an explosive Senate Homeland Security hearing chaired by Senator Rand Paul—and the confrontation only intensified from there.Question after question, Fauci declined to answer on the advice of counsel as senators attempted to question him about the federal government's COVID-19 response, the origins of the virus, research conducted in China and allegations involving gain-of-function research.Despite Fauci having received a federal pardon from President Joe Biden in January 2025, Paul challenged his refusal to answer and warned that the committee would consider what action could follow.“There will be repercussions to your refusal to testify today,” Paul declared. The hearing erupted again when one of Fauci's attorneys attempted to speak without being recognized by the chairman. After repeated warnings, Paul directed Capitol Police to remove him from the hearing room.In this video, Professor Nez breaks down:• Why Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment• What Biden's pardon does—and does not—necessarily cover• Why Rand Paul warned of possible repercussions• What caused Fauci's attorney to be removed• The questions Fauci declined to answer• What Congress could potentially do next• Why this hearing could become a defining moment in the battle over COVID accountabilityInvoking the Fifth Amendment is a constitutional right and does not itself establish guilt. The central issue now is whether Congress will pursue additional action following Fauci's refusal to answer the committee's questions.Watch until the end for the complete breakdown, and tell me in the comments: Should Congress continue pursuing answers about the origins of COVID-19 and federally funded research?Subscribe to Professor Nez for breaking political news, independent commentary, fact-checking and analysis of the stories shaping America. For free and unbiased Medicare help, dial (656) 218-0931 to speak with my trusted partner, Chapter, or go to https://askchapter.org/nez✅ Reach out to me: https://bio.site/professornez✅ ORIGINAL MADE IN U.S.A 250TH AMERICA DESIGNS: https://professornez.myspreadshop.com/✅ Check out our Official Clips Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@professornezclips▶ Support the Channel and Buy us a Coffee: https://buymeacoffee.com/professornezAll content is provided for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute legal, financial, medical, or professional advice. Senator Tim Sheehy just delivered one of the most powerful and emotionally charged speeches America has heard about the war with Iran.Speaking on the Senate floor, the Montana Republican and former Navy SEAL explained why he believes the conflict did not begin with President Trump—and why the United States can no longer leave the Iranian regime for another generation of American soldiers to confront.Sheehy described carrying fallen friends from military aircraft, revealed that one of the men commemorated on his bracelet was killed by an Iranian-made explosive, and recounted decades of attacks tied to Iran and its terrorist proxies. His message was direct:“We didn't start this war. We did not. But we will finish it.”Whether you support the current military campaign or strongly oppose it, this is a speech every American should hear before forming an opinion about what happens next.Watch the full breakdown and tell me in the comments:Did Senator Sheehy change how you view the war with Iran?Subscribe to Professor Nez for breaking political news, fact-based commentary, and analysis of the stories shaping America. Elon Musk turned the tables on an interviewer after being challenged over accusations that his political views and supporters are “far right.”Musk responded by naming three principles he considers completely normal: secure borders, safe cities, and sensible government spending. He then asked the question the media rarely seems willing to answer: Which one of those positions is actually “far right”?The tense exchange unfolded during Musk's wide-ranging interview with The Economist's editor-in-chief, Zanny Minton Beddoes. Musk directly criticized the media's characterization of ordinary political positions as extreme, calling that characterization false, misleading, and nonsense—and insisting that the exchange remain in the finished interview. He also argued that many positions now portrayed as radical would have been considered mainstream only 10 or 15 years ago, referencing past rhetoric from prominent Democratic leaders to illustrate how dramatically political labels have shifted. In this video, Professor Nez breaks down the confrontation, Elon's most powerful argument, the interviewer's response, and what this exchange reveals about modern media framing. Was Elon right? Have secure borders, safe cities, and responsible government spending somehow become “far right”—or has the political definition of “normal” fundamentally changed?Share your verdict in the comments.Subscribe and turn on notifications for daily political commentary, breaking news, media analysis, and fact-checking from Professor Nez.For free and unbiased Medicare help, dial (656) 218-0931 to speak with my trusted partner, Chapter, or go to https://askchapter.org/nez▶Sign up to our Free Newsletter, so you never miss out: https://bio.site/professornez▶ ORIGINAL MADE IN U.S.A 250TH AMERICA DESIGNS: https://professornez.myspreadshop.com/
