Brooks Smith emailed on Patreon: "Hi Mark, Thanks for all the work you to do running this podcast! I don't really have any Irish heritage, but I discovered Celtic music when a friend dragged me to a contra dance in Vermont with the band Crowfoot several years ago. I love the genre, and your podcast is a great way to keep up with some of the new music that comes out. I typically listen while working during the day (I'm a structural engineer in Melbourne, Australia), and I'll have Spotify open as I do, marking songs as favourites on there as they catch my ear. I'll usually later on go listen to the rest of an artist's catalogue if I've favourited something by them. I've found a few new favourite artists that way - West of Eden, Heather Dale, Childsplay, Skipinnish. Anyway, I'm gradually working my way through your back catalogue of episodes, but one sub-group I've not heard much of yet is Cape Breton artists: Barra MacNeils, Rawlins Cross, Rankin Family, Ashley MacIsaac, and Natalie MacMaster are some of my other favourite Celtic bands! Cheers!"

Jeremy Graves and Andy Hanley welcome special guest Dr. Jonathan Clements to the podcast to discuss a boat load of topics to bring new nearly two hours of audio! We've intentionally steered away from talking about the current state of play around the world on recent episodes, but with Jonathan being based in Finland and being on the pulse when it comes to Asian culture, we'd be remiss if we didn't get his experiences and take on things. But during that discussion you'll also discover that during lockdown he has introduced his son to the world of Studio Ghibli for the first-time! If you want to know what he watched, you'll have to listen and find out! From there we move onto discussing some news that has broken since our last episode; first of all is the fact that NEO Magazine announced that due to the current goings on they will be going on hiatus for a while. Then we touch on the breaking news (within an hour or so of us recording) that Masaaki Yuasa is stepping down from his role as president of the studio Science Saru. We look at what this means, but also tell you why, when it comes to future works of Masaaki Yuasa, you shouldn't worry too much. From there we move onto tackling some questions and topics of conversation send it by you, the listeners! Topics covered (but not limited to) include dream titles we'd like to see receive an ultimate edition; merchandise, recent "must watch" anime; working conditions of animators in Japan, whether we think dubs fit better for an anime not set in Japan compared those that are, and more! Then, as a primer for the show on Friday where it'll be our second watch-a-long discussion style episode focusing on episodes 1-3 of Megalo Box, Jonathan delves into the history of the Ashita no Joe / Tomorrow's Joe franchise - which Megalo Box is a 50th Anniversary commemoration project of - to really help set the scene for the importance of the franchise and how Megalo Box is a very unique undertaking in itself. (There's also a story Jonathan shares about Tomorrow's Joe that relating to him directly that you need to hear to believe.) And if that wasn't enough - yes, there's more! - as we're closing out the show Jonathan makes it known that his adaptation of Death Note is now available on Audible in France! And that sparks a conversation about this came about and the casting choice for the French language version as it features the same cast in the French dub of the Death Note anime! There's a heck of a lot packed into nearly two hours, but definitely worth a listen! APPROX TIME CODES FOR THIS EPISODE - 00:00 - 16:14, Intro, what lockdown life in Finland is like; what Ghibli Jonathan introduced his son to during this time! 16:15 - 49:54, Intro continued, NEWS: NEO Magazine going on hiatus; NEWS: Masaaki Yuasa retires as President of Science Saru 59:55 - 1:30:11, Questions/topics from the community 1:30:12 - 1:43:33, Megalo Box discussion primer: Jonathan Clements on the history of Ashita no Joe 1:43:34 - 1:54:14 [END], Close Show; discussion on Jonathan's adaptation of Death Note.

Today, while they have every intention of trying to remain on topic that quickly doesn't happen as they begin talking about many Transformers related topics including the various old school animated series as well as the variety of classic Transformers comics and now manga available! But they do get onto anime related talk, there's some brief discussion on the fact you can stream the Konosuba movie right now on Crunchyroll, and in the "what they've been watching" pile they talk about Fate/GO and the tv series of Eureka Seven! And of course there's more questions from the community covering a variety of topics such as the possibility of us releasing/licensing certain titles, possible anime flavoured Pepsi Max collaborations and even what anime characters would we like to/hate to be stuck in lockdown with. A fun show as always! Our next episode will be recorded on Friday and will be focusing on the discussing (at least) the first 3 episodes of Cardcaptor Sakura, which you can stream on Channel 4's All4 service. If you want to let us know what you thought of the first three episode of Cardcaptor Sakura, you can do so via Twitter/Facebook/Instagram and be sure to including the tag #AskAllTheAnime so we know it's a comment directed for the podcast. ---------- APPROX TIME CODES FOR THIS EPISODE - 00:00 - 11:55, Start of show, Transformers discussion 11:56 - 15:23, Updates from AllTheAnime 15:24 - 38:26, What we've been watching (Fate/Go, Eureka Seven) 38:27 - 1:07:25 [END], Reminder of Cardcaptor Sakura discussion coming on Friday, Questions from the community, Outro.

We're back with a new episode and it's already going in a different direction than what you'd normally expect! This time we're on the road at MCM Manchester Comic Con from this past weekend. Things begin with Jeremy Graves and Keith Copping after MCM Manchester, just to confuse you, having a little catchup that also involves some details about our presence at the Tokonatsu Festival this coming weekend! Then we go back in time to MCM Manchester from this past weekend with Jeremy Graves, Andy Hanley, Keith Copping and Kat Hall as they give some you some thoughts on the event (and some ramblings in general) recorded on not only the show floor, but also during the van ride back from Manchester just hours after the event ended. (What can possibly go wrong...?) Plus we get a few moments to talk with Nathan Mills from our good friends at Koei Tecmo Europe, who were promoting their latest game based on Attack on Titan, A.O.T. II Final Battle, during the show! And if that wasn't enough we even get to speak to a man you've more than likely seen at a convention in the UK in some capacity before, the head honcho from our good friends at Gundam Mad, Gurinder Gurm, to talk about not only MCM Manchester but also what people can expect from the Gundam Wing section at the upcoming TFNation event! Gurinder is one of the people heavily involved in the planning for this, and he gives you a preview of what will be happening across the weekend! It's different show to normal, and admittedly the recording quality of the audio varies in places, but it's something different and something we're hope you'll enjoy listening to. Sommerferien står for døren, og i den anledning handler TEGNEFILMPODCASTEN om Mamoru Hosodas sommerlige anime, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (2006).
