CleanTech Lithium PLC (AIM:CTL, OTCQX:CTLHF) CEO Ignacio Mehech talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about his priorities following his appointment as the company's new chief executive. Mehech spoke about the company's immediate focus and his own background in Chile's mining sector. He described CleanTech as being at “a very special moment in time”, with several key developments underway including the CEOL (special lithium operation contract) negotiations with Chile's Ministry of Mining, the delivery of a pre-feasibility study, and the search for a strategic partner. “We have gone all the way to produce lithium carbonate battery grade,” Mehech said, noting that the company has successfully piloted direct lithium extraction (DLE) technologies with its brine projects. Reflecting on his decade of experience in Chile's mining industry, Mehech outlined his previous roles at Albemarle, including as country manager for Chile and VP of external affairs for Latin America. He stressed the importance of maintaining strong relationships with indigenous communities and government stakeholders in Chile, adding that CleanTech already has “a good relationship” that it must continue building on. He concluded by reinforcing the company's short-term goals: “Finalise the negotiations on the CEOL with the Ministry of Mining, deliver the pre-feasibility study, and look for a strategic partner to develop this project.” For more insights, visit Proactive's YouTube channel for additional videos. CleanTech Lithium PLC (AIM:CTL, OTCQX:CTLHF) executive chairman Dr Steve Kesler talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's revised timeline for its ASX listing, aligning closely with the CEOL process for its Laguna Verde project in Chile. Kesler explained the decision to delay the listing to early 2025 to await the Chilean government's resolution on priority projects, which would allow the company to present a stronger position to potential investors in Australia. "New potential investors in Australia have a good picture, they have the history of the company, they know where we are now with the CEOL," Kesler said. He emphasised that having the pre-feasibility study (PFS) results and updated financials in the prospectus would strengthen investor confidence in a challenging market. Kesler also addressed the departure of the CEO designate, citing personal reasons and confirmed that CleanTech Lithium is re-engaging with other high-calibre candidates ahead of the ASX listing expected in May. Additionally, he discussed the extension of the broker retail option to 7 March, allowing more retail shareholders to participate following the successful £2.4 million interim raise. Zak Mir talks to Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, an exploration and development company advancing lithium projects in Chile for the clean energy transition, as it raises £2.4m and in the run-up to its dual listing on the ASX. CleanTech Lithium Raises £2.4 Million to Advance Laguna Verde and ASX Listing. CleanTech Lithium PLC (CTL) has conditionally raised £2.4 million by issuing 15 million new shares at 16p each. The placement shares account for approximately 15.2% of the company's expanded ordinary share capital, with each share including a warrant entitlement to subscribe for one additional share at 11p. Most placement shares were allocated to existing institutional investors across Asia, Australia, Europe, and the UK, reflecting strong shareholder support despite challenging market conditions. Net proceeds will be directed towards key initiatives, including advancing capital programs crucial for securing the CEOL (Chilean Special Lithium Operation Contract) at Laguna Verde, completing the project's pre-feasibility study, and funding the company's listing on the ASX through to completion. Additionally, the funds will support efforts to enhance market visibility, attract a broader investor base, and finalize the first-stage direct lithium extraction (DLE) pilot plant. The company aims to produce significant quantities of battery-grade lithium carbonate to introduce to potential off-takers and strategic partners, while also covering general working capital requirements. To accommodate further demand, CleanTech Lithium has granted a broker option to Fox-Davies, allowing investors to participate in the placement until 5:00 PM on 25 February 2025. Executive Chairman Steve Kesler commented: "We are delighted to welcome new shareholders and appreciate the continued support of existing investors who, despite tough market conditions, have shown confidence in our mission to develop responsibly sourced lithium in Chile through direct lithium extraction. These new funds will help us progress towards securing a CEOL at Laguna Verde, completing the project's PFS, and producing battery-grade lithium carbonate for potential strategic partners. We remain committed to engaging with indigenous communities as we pursue a dual listing in Australia in the coming weeks."

CleanTech Lithium PLC (AIM:CTL, OTCQX:CTLHF) executive chairman Dr Steve Kesler talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's updated resource estimate for the Laguna Verde project in Chile and its broader development plans. Kesler highlighted the updated resource estimate of 1.95 million tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) within the Laguna Verde Basin, with 1.63 million tonnes located in a CEOL polygon where the company holds over 80% of mining licenses. This progress supports the company's application for a Special Lithium Operation Contract (CEOL), which will be formally submitted to the Chilean government by the end of January. The company is also preparing for an ASX listing and plans to complete its pre-feasibility study (PFS) by the end of the quarter. Montgomery & Associates, experts in lithium brine resource estimation, have reviewed the resource data and recommended additional drilling and feasibility work for further resource expansion and technical validation. Kesler emphasised that these efforts align with CleanTech Lithium's strategy to secure strategic investors and finance the project through its next stages, including the DFS and permitting phases. He also mentioned that additional drilling and larger-scale pilot plant production are planned for 2025 to enhance the resource and attract investors. US Chips and Science Act.

Did you get some sort of notification from Amazon Prime Music that your podcast was no longer going to be available? I will have to figure out a new way to listen to it and I will! There's good news though, your Celtic Christmas podcasts are still available on Amazon Prime! Love it always, any time of the year. " Patrick Rieger emailed some photos: "Hi Marc, My family and I have been busy the past month with a stop at our favorite pub and two renaissance festivals, so I'll be sending a few emails about the incredible musicians we enjoyed. On August 24, we went to Mullaney's Harp & Fiddle to see John McCann and Hamish, and an hour after they started everyone, including John and Hamish, got a surprise: the third member of the Corned Beef and Curry Band dropped in, Bob Banerjee. Bob is the most incredible fiddle player I have ever seen, and he has an endless number of bad jokes. He is the curry in the band's name, having been born in India. So for a few hours, this great band was back together. Irish musician Mark Guiser was in the audience that night, and was invited onto the stage for a few songs. Two wedding parties then dropped in for some post - reception fun. The energy, excitement and fun hadn't been that high at the Harp in a long time, and my wife and I only left because our son needed to get to bed. In one photo is The Corned Beef & Curry Band, from left to right, John McCann, Bob Banerjee, and Hamish, In the other, Mark Guiser and Bob. They were playing Hallelujah with Mark singing."

I got to know Ken through his work presenting ‘Ceol agus Craic', a Saturday morning Irish radio show here in Canada, which he presents with his good friend, Mark O'Brien. ‘Ceol agus Craic' is a great vehicle for the Irish to have their voice heard and spread the word on particular events that are happening in the community.  It airs every Saturday morning from 10AM – 12.30PM on www.mixlr.com/ceolaguscraic. All the shows are made available on the website and they have some great playlists on Spotify. This is a great chat with Ken who opens up about why he came to Canada, when he realised he would stay here long term and how he got so busy in Toronto that he even forgot his own birthday.
