I don’t know about the rest of you but it is non-stop sex having in my house. Oh totally! In between a home-schooled teen, the two of us working day and night, running errands for my elderly parents, trying not to watch the news, making sure all of the bills are getting paid, and wondering if there will ever be an end to this pandemic, our sex drives are OFF THE CHART! And when I say, “off the chart” I mean, nonexistent. Yeah, if your sex drive has vaporized, too, you are not alone. We are living in a time of maximum boner killers. But, all is not lost and help is here! I reached out to my favorite Canadian, Dr. Jessica O’Reilly earlier this year to see if she has some tools that couples can use in order to reignite the spark and be more mindful of each other’s needs — ya know while navigating all of these endless boner killers. An award-winning speaker, Jess has worked with thousands of couples from all corners of the globe to transform their relationships via her wildly successful Marriage As A Business program. Jessica has some great solutions for all of us and, because she’s so awesome, she’s offering my listeners an exclusive discount on select videos. Come on, you’re not doing anything else right now except shopping online for dumb crap you don’t need, so spend some quality time with your partner and in just 30 minutes you can learn really smart strategies that will help boost your sexual confidence. Gluten is bad for you! Step away from the sourdough bread-making and start focusing on love making!!! Jessica shares some amazing things you and your partner can do in order to stay connected during these COVID times. Things that are simple, mindful and will not gross out your kids. Don’t worry if you’re not in the mood for sex right now. Just get reconnected first. The boning will soon follow. These techniques are terrific. Welcome Back! This week I proudly present my most popular episode of all time, My Happy Ending Massage. As you’re about to hear, this night was actually part of an amazing, three-day smutstravaganza I went on in Las Vegas. Don’t judge. I was away from home for weeks. I was facing a big birthday. I was dehydrated. Whatever the reason may be, I did engage in some very questionable behavior and you’re about to hear all about 2/3 of that behavior. The final piece will be revealed in my memoir. It’s worth the wait. To briefly set the table, I’d been working in Las Vegas for several weeks, shooting season 5 of our show Swing, which was all about monogamous couples trying the swinging lifestyle. Just about every night was spent in the middle of the most sex-charged atmosphere you could ever imagine. Plus, we could never find good gluten free pizza. As a result, I was more than a little frustrated. So, here’s a trip back to the penultimate night of a smutty three day bender. A night that literally changed my life forever. Other than the bad pizza, I don’t regret a thing. Plus!!! At 24:10 don’t miss a Screw Confession where a highly ambitious woman absolutely loses it when things get a little too deep. NOTES At 11:58, my dear Canadian friend, Sex & Relationship Expert, Dr. Jessica O’Reilly makes an appearance. One of my favorite people on the planet, I look at Jess as the Great White North Star of Sex. To follow Jessica O’ Reilly go to: www.sexwithdrjess.com @SexWithDrJess To read this story and see many other fun, completely uncensored stories about my time as Head of Programming at Playboy TV, check out my writing on Medium.com Oh…and according to Yelp, the Bad Attitude Boutique on East Sahara Avenue, is permanently closed. No word on the lady in the track suit. CORRECTION: I reported that the floor was cheap vinyl tile. That was incorrect. It was cheap laminate. I do not regret any of the mistakes made in this recording. Sex Ed The Musical is available on iTunes, Stitcher, Podtail, IHeartRadio, Podbay, Spotify and more. One of the best parts of my ridiculous job as head of programming at Playboy TV, was being able to learn from all of the amazing experts I worked with. Highly qualified educators, experts and authors who were truly concerned about the state of sex education in this world and how to inspire us to pursue lives of healthy passion, sexual adventure and pleasure. At the top of that list is my friend, Dr. Jessica O’Reilly. As host of my show Swing, she not only introduced couples to the swinging lifestyle but then worked with them after they spent the night in the Swing house, helping them unpack their feelings in order to understand how the experience affected their relationships and communication moving forward. Jessica is whip-smart, caring, non-judgmental, kind, and one of the world’s leading educators when it comes to understanding the ever changing world of human sexuality and relationship maintenance. Now as we’re all (hopefully) staying home and flattening the curve, there’s a lot of stress brewing. Financial stress. Health stress. Home schooling stress. Toilet paper hoarding stress. There’s not a lot of space left for nookie. So I reached out to Jess to see if she has some tools that couples can use in order to help maintain intimacy and be more mindful of each other’s needs, ya know in this world of boner killers. 10 SEXY THINGS YOU CAN DO THIS WEEKEND

Sex Ed The Musical

Play Episode Listen Later Oct 16, 2019 11:38

You know that Sunday night feeling when you sadly reflect back on your measly 2 days off and realize you did absolutely nothing fun at all? Well, get ready to kiss that 'Sunday Night Sad' goodbye! In this episode, I have compiled a list of 10 things you can do this weekend that are SEXY, CHEAP and FUN — just like me! Ranging from absolutely free to nothing all that insane, this is the perfect list to wake up your sex life. The time is now! Have fun. Be adventurous. Stop leaving pleasure on the table! NUMBER 10 — VISIT A LOCAL SEX TOY STORE There are lots of local sex toy shops and many of them are not repulsive at all. In Los Angeles, NY and Chicago, I highly recommend The Pleasure Chest. If you’re looking for something kinkier in LA, check out The Stockroom. In NY, Babeland is a fantastic shop and I’m a big fan of Good Vibrations in San Francisco. These are all brick and mortar shops but they also have online stores. If you can’t go to a local shop with your boo, check out some of the amazing stores online together and enjoy a virtual naughty shopping trip. NUMBER 9 — TAKE A SEX EDUCATION CLASS Many of the major sex toy shops offer live classes but there are also several places online, where you seriously your sex skills and basic knowledge. Grab a laptop, cuddle up and get your learn on. This article from September, 2018 on Mashable offers links to 20 Online Resources For Sex Education. Smart is the new sexy. NUMBER 8 — GET A ROOM AT A NEARBY CHEAP MOTEL Hotel sex is fun. Cheap motel sex takes it to a whole new level. But, before you get stabbed in a darkened hallway, do a little research on Trip Advisor to see what others have said about that nearby no-tell motel with free HBO. Manage your expectations, this is for a fun, deliberately sleazy outing. Safety first! So here’s an excellent tarp to put on a sketchy bed to add an extra layer of kink and sanitation to your night. NUMBER 7 — NAKED DAY! Spend the whole day naked with your boo. Obviously, this means don’t leave the house. However, if you live in a nudist resort and want to do something freaky, leave your house wearing pants. Crazy! NUMBER 6 — DON’T DO THIS, IT’S TOTALLY ILLEGAL Yes, sneaking a quickie in a nearby Open House sounds super sexy and dangerous but it’s illegal. Whatever you do, don’t find a secluded spot behind a locked door and get busy. It’s illegal and you can get arrested. NUMBER 5 — HAVE SEX IN EVERY SINGLE ROOM IN YOUR HOUSE If you have a 200 square foot apartment, this might not be much of a challenge. If you live in this house, you’d better hydrate. NUMBER 4 — ROLE PLAYING You hit a local bar and order a drink. A minute or two later, your partner comes in and tries to pick you up. For the night, you both construct fake identities, backgrounds and even a British accent if you want to put in the labour. Have fun, take this as far as possible and if you’re in a hotel bar, go straight up to your room that has already been checked into. Extra credit if one of you goes by the name Mr. Gladstone. NUMBER 3 — GO TO A SEX CLUB OR LIFESTYLE PARTY At a sex club or a lifestyle party, your boundaries will be respected better than just about anywhere else. Consent is a big part of the conversation. But how to find these places? Check out lifestyle website Kasidie.com for links to local and national lifestyle clubs and events. SDC.com is another source for adults seeking all sorts of information. There are also several adult play parties you can find through MeetUp.com and Eventbrite.com. Go online and do some research. Chances are, there’s an event or club not far from you. Also, when it comes to rules and communication, you must be as clear as possible before you get there. Here’s a great article about How To Prepare For Your First Orgy Or Sex Party, written by my friend and favourite Canadian, Dr. Jessica O’Reilly. NUMBER 2 — DO SOMETHING WACKY TOGETHER Your pre-gaming doesn’t always have to include sex. My husband and I went ax throwing one night. It was ridiculous and so much fun. Whether it’s bowling, a tango lesson at a local ballroom dance studio or a trippy artistic immersion — the whole point is staying connected to each other. The nookie will follow. Find fun, new, weird things and do them together. Your genitals will thank you later. NUMBER 1 — BUY THIS REMOTE CONTROLLED VIBRATOR Hours and hours of fun will be had when you purchase one of my all-time favorite sex toys. One of you puts the vibrator in their underwear. Then you give the remote control to your partner…and BUZZ-ANG! You’re going to have an incredibly fun night.     Sex Ed The Musical is not affiliated with any of the websites mentioned in this post. I'm away from home on a long business trip. In Las Vegas. And I book a massage. For 12:45 am. In my hotel room. What could possibly be sketchy about that? Then... @22:00 don't miss a brand-new Screw Confession where a highly ambitious woman absolutely loses it when things get a little too deep. NOTES @9:37 this is the first of several cameos you can expect from my dear Canadian friend: Sex and Relationship Expert Dr. Jessica O'Reilly. According to Yelp, the Bad Attitude Boutique on East Sahara Avenue is closed permanently. Also, the floor was not vinyl tile but instead an inexpensive wood laminate.

Imagine if you will….making the decision to increase your company’s bottom line by improving your employee’s sex life. That’s right....when your employees or co-workers are having a better sex life their relationships at home will be more fulfilled which will in turn create stronger relationships with their co-workers making them more productive at work. This is why companies from around the world are hiring Sexologists to have multiple day retreats to reignite the passion many of their employees have unfortunately lost at home. This loss of passion usually comes down to stories we write in our heads of the sabotage or ill will our partners are doing to us when they are not. We feel something that is not so and then react in negative ways that are not productive to a healthy relationship. Most of this can be solved with simple techniques to help people understand how to communicate more proactive and not reactive. Jess & Brandon model a “how-to-talk-about-sex” conversation in response to a listener’s question — they share their unprepared responses on the spot. They also weigh in on spicing up date night, watching web-cam models, sex clubs, sleeping after sex & how long to wait before having sex with a new partner. Please find a rough summary of the podcast below. We are working on providing full transcripts for all podcasts. Welcome to the SexWithDrJess Podcast. I’m Jessica O’Reilly, your friendly neighbourhood sexologist and I’m here with my better half, Brandon Ware. Today, we’ll be answering listener questions about sex and relationships. Before we get started, I’d like to thank Desire Resorts for their support and remind you that we’ll be facilitating workshops at both properties in Mexico on October 24-25, 2018. More details can be found here. Question: I listened to your podcast on sex clubs and we’ve talked about going, but I’m just not there yet. I’m fine with watching porn, but the idea of real live people freaks me out. My girlfriend really wants to go and you always say to take baby steps, so is there something we can try in the meantime until I’m ready? Just talk about going and play around with the idea. Go to dinner and drive by a club without going in — make out in the car instead. Or talk about all the naughty things you’ll do at a club while having sex at home — with no pressure to follow through in real life. Not everyone likes sex clubs and you certainly don’t have to visit one if you’re not into it. Another option… Sign into an adult webcam room featuring another couple. This may be a little risque, but more couples are joining in on the fun from the safety of their own bedrooms. Webcam models perform live and you can even make requests if you’d like. The couples I’ve met who visit webcams (often for special occasions) say that they like the spontaneity and the fact that they’re not overproduced like porn. If you’re considering this option, talk to your partner ahead of time to discuss your concerns and desires. Some questions you might want to address: 1. If we do this together, does it mean we can do it alone? Set boundaries and agree on what is acceptable within the confines of your relationship. Don’t worry about what others (including experts) have to say. You decide what is dis/allowed in your own relationship as a team. 2. Are we willing to interact (chat) with the models or just watch? 3. Are you nervous about the experience? What makes you nervous? What can your partner do to assuage your concerns? 4. If you feel uncomfortable at any point, how will you address this? Will you close the computer? Take a break? Use a sign to communicate your discomfort? 5. If you’re using a pay site (many offer free access), what spending limit do you want to set? Be honest about your desires and boundaries. You are not a prude if you’re not into adult webcams. You don’t have to do everything to have a happy relationship and satisfying sex life. Question: I saw your story about UberEats as date night and I voted yes on both accounts and I’m wondering what you and Brandon do for date night cuz you look so happy together. (function(v,i,d,e,o){v[o]=v[o]||{}; v[o].add = v[o].add || function V(a){ (v[o].d=v[o].d||[]).push(a);}; if(!v[o].l) { v[o].l=1*new Date(); a=i.createElement(d), m=i.getElementsByTagName(d)[0]; a.async=1; a.src=e; m.parentNode.insertBefore(a,m);} })(window,document,"script","https://cdn-gce.vdocipher.com/playerAssets/1.5.0/vdo.js","vdo"); vdo.add({ otp: "20160313versUSE3236InlD1gWgLzfonvoh5I4gX7g9PS8Z3Q2fwTNMigbE94u3s", playbackInfo: "eyJ2aWRlb0lkIjoiMjYxODQxNTNmYjIyNGRkMmE1NTEzZDE5MzczMzZjMWQifQ==", theme: "9ae8bbe8dd964ddc9bdb932cca1cb59a", container: document.querySelector( "#vdovoh5I4gX7g" ), }); Question: I saw your post on Instagram about having intense conversations. What can we learn from Tristan Thompson & Khloe Kardashian’s cheating challenges? Why do we stay with partners who cheat? And what conversations are ESSENTIAL to a happy, lasting relationship? Jess shares her answers, theories, and strategies on cheating, monogamy and relationship communication. This podcast is brought to you by Desire Resorts.  Podcast Transcript: Welcome to the @SexWithDrJess Podcast. I’m Jessica O’Reilly, your friendly neighbourhood sexologist and I’m back in Toronto today still recovering from my travels and having lost my voice aboard the Desire Resorts cruise. I had a blast on board and my highlight was definitely Florence. There’s something about that city that always leaves me wanting more and more. And on board, my highlight was just sitting on the top deck watching the shoreline and listening to DJ Willis down below. Let me tell you, life is good. I probably have one of the best jobs in the world, so thank you to Desire Resorts and Cruises for hosting me on board. Now that I’m home in Toronto…Today on The Global Morning Show, we talked about Tristan Thompson and Khloe Kardashian. Admittedly, I don’t know much at all about these two. And I’ve already had people yell at me online “WHO CARES?” But here’s the thing. You may not care about K and T. You may not keep up with them - see what I did there? But we do care about these types of stories because when we hear about happy relationships or tumultuous relationships it affects how we see our own relationships. When we hear about Tristan cheating, it can be upsetting because ultimately we never want it to happen to us. And it’s interesting because celebrity gossip is often seen as trashy or vapid. And I was looking at a post by Dr. Amie Harwick yesterday about the hazard of following celebrity gossip. Amy says “Gossiping, in general, is a rather normative behaviour,” says Dr. Amie Harwick, a licensed marriage and family therapist. “Communication about social behaviours goes back to nomadic tribes, regarding finding out who socially was to be avoided or cautious about.” But gossiping, in general, brings negativity into your life and into your relationship. And Amie adds “Such a public depiction of relationship failure can absolutely instill fear in people, whether single or in a relationship, about the likelihood of relationship failure,” Harwick says. “We take information about the world by what we see.” She goes on to explain that typically our own families and friends would model what we believe to be normal. “But with the addition of social media and tabloids, our behavior modeling now includes an immense quantity of poor, and often untrue, behaviour models,” So if celebrity gossip is bad for us, why am I talking about it today? Well, I believe that it’s essential to dissect some of this information if we’re going to be consuming it. I think it’s important that we talk about cheating — not gossip about whether Tristan did it or not, but talk about why it happens and what we can do about it. Today we’re going to do just that. I want to cover a rather controversial topic: I want to talk about why Khloe might put up with this type of behaviour. AND what it says about the way we approach monogamy and what we can do about it. To the first point — if Tristan has done this before and you believe he’s going to do it again, why would his partner put up with it? I don’t know. I don’t have the answer. I’m not in Khloe’s head, heck I’m not even following her Instagram feed. BUT I want to suggest a theory. A theory that may or may not apply to them, but certainly applies to other couples. This isn’t a popular theory. Any time I bring this up, people get pissed, but I know it’s the reality for many couples: I believe that many people know that their partner’s cheating and privately accept it; They may not like it, but they accept it and they accept that if they want to sustain this relationship for love,
