We are thrilled to welcome back to the show comic creator John Horsley!!! John had previously appeared on our show to discuss his horror themed Eynes Anthology a few years back and this time he is here to discuss his Kickstarter campaign for a very different type of book! Jonly Nonly began life as a comedic webcomic back in 2008 that John created based off his wife Kaylie's drawings of John and his friend Jeff. The Kickstarter is for collections of these strips - both as single issues and as a TPB! John takes us through the characters who inhabit the strip (Jonly Nonly, the fishing obsessed Jeffers, the cool AF Calvereena and Star Wars enthusiast Earf) and fills us in on why we all should back it! Apart from the interview the CBBers also discuss recent comic related news (such as The Marvels tanking at the box office, possible Fantastic Four casting, the Madame Web trailer hitting and the SAG-AFTRA strike ending with comic related shows going back into production) and talking about some new comics including Jean Grey, Birds of Prey and Alan Scott: Green Lantern! So hit play and, for those listeners of ours in the States, have a great Turkey Day!!

In this special Yuletide charity edition of Hard Agree, Andrew Sumner is joined by seven very special guests from the worlds of comics, movies, TV and theatre: legendary fantasy author Michael Moorcock; BBC presenter & wine expert Olly Smith (BBC's Saturday Kitchen, Olly Smith's Home Cocktail Bible); author, actor & MCU star Evangeline Lilly (Lost, The Hobbit, Ant-Man and The Wasp); comic book legend Dave Gibbons (Watchmen, Kingsman, The Originals); West End theatre star Julie Stark (Company, Chess, Les Misérables, We Will Rock You); comics editor & creator David Leach (Psycho Gran, David Leach Conquers the Universe) and marketing guru & ComicBooks for Kids UK director Will O'Mullane (Titan Comics). A Hard Agree Christmas Carol is the Christmas 2022 edition of Hard Agree's annual yuletide charity podcast and features Sumner and his guests performing Charles Dickens' live version of his Yuletide classic A Christmas Carol (in support of Comic Books for Kids). Our annual Hard Agree Players cartoon was donated by artist supreme Kelly Yates (Doctor Who, Amber Atoms, MonstHer). As Sumner says: “ComicBooks for Kids is a wonderful charity founded by Mark Weiss that does amazing work getting comic books into the hands of children in long-term hospital care on both sides of the Atlantic. Myself and my co-producers Kenric Regan & John Horsley have always admired Dickens' timeless seasonal message of empathy & civic responsibility, and thought ‘what better way to underline & amplify ComicBooks for Kids' mission than to return to the words of Charles Dickens himself, the great believer in human society pulling together?' Please visit their website CB4K.org, please check them out and please do what you can to help.” You can donate to Comic Books for Kids HERE: https://www.comicbooksforkids.org/donatestart You can check out everything Comic Books for Kids does at these links: CB4K.org https://www.comicbooksforkids.org/home https://twitter.com/Comicbooks4kids https://twitter.com/CB4KUK https://www.facebook.com/comicbooksforkids https://www.instagram.com/cb4kuk/ https://www.instagram.com/comicbooks4kids/ Follow Evangeline Lilly on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/evangelinelillyofficial/ Follow Michael Moorcock on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/buggerly.otherly Follow Dave Gibbons on Instagram: https://twitter.com/davegibbons90 Follow Olly Smith on Social Media: https://ollysmith.com/ https://twitter.com/jollyolly https://www.instagram.com/ollysmith/ Follow Julie Stark on Social Media: https://www.juliestark.co.uk/ https://twitter.com/juliejuliestark Follow David Leach on Twitter: https://twitter.com/davidleach2000 Follow Will O'Mullane on Social Media: https://twitter.com/willomullane https://establishingshotcomic.wordpress.com/ Follow Kelly Yates on Social Media: https://twitter.com/kellyyates_art https://subscribe.kellyyatesart.com/ Follow Hard Agree on Twitter: https://.twitter.com/hard_agree Follow Sumner on Social Media & YouTube: http://twitter.com/sumnarr https://www.youtube.com/c/Forbiddenplanetdotcom/videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCstl1UHQVUC85DrCagF-wuQ/videos “Golden – The Hard Agree Theme” written and recorded for the podcast by DENIO Follow DENIO on Social Media: http://twitter.com/denioband/ http://instagram.com/denioband/ http://facebook.com/denioband/ http://soundcloud.com/denioband/ Follow the Spoilerverse on Social Media: http://facebook.com/spoilercountry/ http://twitter.com/spoiler_country http://instagram.com/spoilercountry/ Kenric Regan: http://twitter.com/XKenricX John Horsley: http://twitter.com/y2cl http://instagram.com/y2cl/ http://y2cl.net http://eynesanthology.com Did you know the Spoilerverse has a YouTube channel? https://youtube.com/channel/UCstl1UHQVUC85DrCagF-wuQ Support the Spoilerverse on Patreon: http://patreon.com/spoilercountry

On February 1st, John Horsely will be releasing a brand new Kickstarter Campaign. The Eynes Anthology: Book 1, within this horror comic it will feature 10 Stories from 22 Creators. Including Casey Allen, who wrote some tales as well. Releasing Winter 2019, publishing by Y2CL. There goal will be $4,500 and goes from February 1st, and runs to March 5th. Another cool thing to do besides signing up for Newsletters, is by logging into your Kickstarter and Following the creator himself. Or if you're reading this afterwards and missed out, make sure to follow John for the future books of this Anthology which tells a bigger story than you might have not of thought of. Casey Allen is known for The Comic Jam. Description of Book 1: Monsters are everywhere… They always have been. They lurk, hidden in every shadow, behind every dark thought. They are probably in your closet, possessing your friends, and they’re almost certainly creeping behind you now. They are most often undetectable. And when they’re not, it’s too late. Throughout time, these monsters have feasted on society – both physically and metaphysically. The chaos they bring fuels a great dark spirit that seeks to end the world with pain and torment. The Eynes are our only hope… The Eynes family line has been cursed since before recorded history to detect the presence of these monsters. It is their bound duty to stop these creatures from destroying humanity through any means necessary, be it by sword, spell… or other. Though the Eynes can feel when the creatures are in close proximity, the monsters themselves are also drawn toward the family. But not everything is as it seems… And although the war between the monsters and the Eynes has waged for centuries, The black-and-white battle lines have grayed over the years. not all monsters may be considered evil and not all Eynes are as righteous as one would think. These are the tales of the Eynes Family. Special Guest Jon Horsley - from Spoiler Country DC Universe News: DC UNIVERSE: streaming service confirmed to be releasing this fall including the premiere for TITANS! IN REGARDS TO THE ELUSIVE "SNYDER CUT" of JL: The Snyder cut of Justice League is still on fan's minds, and a recent rumor indicated Snyder might be working on it as we speak, though a frequent collaborator of Snyder's has put that rumor to rest. A rumor recently made the rounds that Snyder, who is working on his next film The Last Photograph, had been working on finishing his cut of Justice League for the last seven months. The theory was based on the fact that Snyder had finished a rough cut of the film to screen to Warner Bros. before changes were made and reshoots started, and that cut would've been his original vision for the movie. "It’s Clickbait," Oliva wrote. "Anyone who says they have “reliable sources” usually have it wrong. Whenever I site my source it’s pretty much from the person who I’m talking about. Whether it’s Zack, Geoff Johns, Patty Jenkins, Ben Affleck Taika Waititi, Kevin Feige, etc. it’s all firsthand." Now, Oliva isn't saying there isn't a Snyder cut mind you. He's only saying that Snyder hasn't been working to finish that cut over the past 7 months. Oliva has previously said there is a Snyder cut, as Snyder's editing process is to pretty much put a movie together as he goes along, opting not to do much of the editing in post-production. "Other than incomplete vfx and maybe some reshoots for hook ups everything was shot that was storyboarded," Oliva wrote. "Zack isn’t the kind of director who creates the film in the edit bay. It’s all planned out meticulously from beginning to end. That’s how MoS and BvS was done." Olvia went back and forth a bit with Mark Hughes on social media about the existence of this cut, and while it does need polish and vfx, the core film is there. "I think they are responding to people saying that the Snydercut (prior to Whedon’s involvement) does not exist and is not a cohesive story because Zack left," Oliva said. "It may not be 100% polished but all of the planned scenes were shot and edited into a full timeline." Oliva also said, ultimately, fans know that and just want to see that version even if the studio isn't interested in polishing Snyder's screening version into a finished product. "That's what the whole movement is about," Oliva said of the "Release the Snyder Cut" movement. "It's not about finishing the film it's about showing the fans of Zack's universe established in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman the more accurate representation of where the story was supposed to go." That representation is something that fans are hopeful will surface at San Diego Comic-Con later this month. Not only have there been rumors that Snyder has spent the last seven months finishing his version of Justice League, there have also been rumors that Warner Bros. would use its Hall H presentation to unveil it, though Oliva said that kid of announcement was "up in the air". DC Rumored to Focus on Standalone Films Over Crossovers in Future: To this point, the universe based on DC Comics, has had a bit of a rough time getting started. The Zack Snyder-led project was a decent box office supporter for a spell, but critics tore most of the movies apart, and the DCEU sort of fizzled out with Justice League. Wonder Woman remains the only film from the connected universe considered a major success. This tough run has put a giant question mark on the future of DC films, but a new rumor suggests that going forward, Warner Bros. and DC will focus on standalone movies, and not worry as much about connecting everything together. Daniel R, the Twitter user who has a knack for sharing solid DC movie news, spilled a new take this week. "The future is Stand-Alone, with very few crossovers," Daniel t
