With the NFL's free agency madness continuing on and possibly carrying on into today, the Texans seem to have ushered into a new era in their organization following their offseason moves since the end of the season with the Super Bowl. Following the madness in this years free agency and with the shocking release of former Texans OT Laremy Tunsil yesterday, chatter has begun circling around the actual reason of why Tunsil was released. Acquiring Laken Tomlinson in replace of Laremy's departure now with the trade final, lots of talk has raised in regards to what may have been the underlying issue in Tunsil's departure. Assessing the Texans shocking moves in this years free agency, Sean and Brian take a moment discussing a few things that were stated officially to have went on throughout the entirety of the 2024 season that may've lead to Laremy Tunsil's departure to Washington.

Joining us today on The Pivot is Laremy Tunsil, one who is no stranger to the spotlight and one of the best left tackles currently in the NFL. Laremy sits down with Ryan, Channing, and Fred to talk about his journey of overcoming adversity since his days at Ole Miss, charity work for single mothers, the truth behind draft night and what he believes will determine his legacy as a NFL player. The Texans are a team that Fred believes arguably had the best night out of all 32 NFL organizations this past offseason. With the addition of #2 overall pick QB CJ Stroud, focus will be on the offensive line more than ever. In 2016, ten minutes before the NFL Draft was set to start, Tunsil's Twitter account was hacked and showed a video of him wearing a gas mask and smoking from a bong. A moment Tunsil considers his biggest pivot thus far, but a moment that forced other teams to pivot and select other players over his projected #1 overall pick. Laremy says this moment was a teachable one but also one that motivated him to give his all to whatever team took a chance on him, which ended up being the Miami Dolphins. Still beloved by Dolphins fans as his trade to Houston resulted in them getting several key players that now make that team a Super Bowl contender in the AFC, Laremy is ready to solidify his legacy not just to be one of the best at his position but to win a championship too. Getting further into the X's and O's, Laremy says that he's excited to see what the Texans can do this year and is dedicated to giving his all to winning the AFC South Championship. As captain of the Texans, Laremy talks about how he supports CJ Stroud and what his encouragement has been to the highly anticipated rookie. Tunsil reassures the guys that CJ will do well and that he has the correct mindset. However, one thing Tunsil isn't sure about, is his legacy career wise if he doesn't win a championship for the Texans. As a result of various controversies including one with Lindsey Miller, his ex-stepfather, Tunsil has been more reserved in terms of developing trusted relationships and allowing new people into his life. Two of those individuals who have remained through his corner through it all have been his mother and brother. Motivated by his mother's support and loyalty, every year he makes it his mission to help single mothers within the community. This week on the Frot, Matt Lieb is in Costa Rica dropping acid with spider monkeys, changing his whole perspective on shit, but in order to fill the mustache-shaped void, we've got comedian Joey Avery and Whoop Dreams star Laremy Legel filling in. As for discussion topics, it turns out Steven Seagal isn't the only celebrity with the unique physiological reaction to arousal. That's right, we're talking about Will Smith and his latest weird story about how he once had so much sex it started to make him puke. And hey, did his family adopt his girlfriend when he was a teen? Also, we're comparing Will Smith's performance as Richard Williams in King Richard to the actual Richard Williams. There's also Joey's trip to Jacksonville, Laremy's experience growing up in Florida, and Thanksgiving food. I hope you enjoy it super duper hard.

For the full episode, become a $5 patron at Patreon.com/Frotcast! Howdy, Frot fans! Matt Lieb is off living his dreams on Maui, drinking virgin daquiris and getting his picture taken with parrots like a 10-year-old, but as we know, the Frot sleeps for no one, not even when they're getting lei'd. This week your old pals, comedian Joe Sinclitico and Whoop Dreams star Laremy Legel, are in the virtual Frotquarters to talk about how we're old and nothing works anymore (...societally), and how it sucks that when you become a father you lose the ability to get in fights with local teens, even when they've been very unfair to you. Joe saw the James Bond, No I Will Not Go Out And Die Tonight, so we discuss that, and how we could fix the James Bond franchise. After that, we discuss the latest NFT scandal, with the Evolved Ape NFTs and try to understand what the hell NFTs even are. And whether it counts as fraud if you get ripped off in the act of trying to participate in a Ponzi scheme. Meanwhile, Laremy reveals that he owns NFTs himself, and that he's heavily invested in animals who play in gutters. We also talk Dave Chappelle, and far too late into the show, Joe reveals that he recently became the inadvertent center of a culture war incident and damn near got himself torn apart by an angry mob. In all honesty, that's the way I always assumed Joe would go. One thing I'm annoyed that I didn't say in the show is that I really wish Ben was still alive to make fun of NFTs. Whenever we talk about them I think about how no one I know would appreciate the humor of NFTs like Ben would. As long as you think about Ben riffing on NFTs with us, maybe a little bit of Ben is still alive in our hearts.
Joe and Laremy join the Frot to talk James Bond, NFTs, and Joe almost getting murdered by the culture war mob.

This week on Pod Yourself A Gun, we're discussing episode 13, "I Dream Of Jeannie Cusamano," the season one finale of the Sopranos and thus the season one finale of Pod Yourself A Gun. In this episode, all of the Sopranos biggest season one storylines come to a head, and many to a resolution. Tony finds out his mother and uncle conspired to try to have him whacked. Carmela realizes Father Phil is a fuckboi. Dr. Melfi puts her cards on the table and tells Tony what she suspects about his mother. Tony becomes a physical threat to Dr. Melfi. Tony removes a suspected snitch from his crew and comes clean to his remaining guys about seeing a shrink. In one of season one's best episodes and arguably one of the best season finales of any show, we get a culmination of the themes introduced with a few intriguing questions left to explore. It seems to come from a time when prestige TV seemed to think it owed us more in terms of catharsis and closure. It ranges from dramatic and thrilling (Jimmy Altieri's death, Tony flipping the table on Dr. Melfi) to introspective and psychological (Carmela calling out Father Phil, Livia's psychosomatic dementia) to the kind of comedy that really only the Sopranos could do and maybe hasn't been done the same since (Mikey Palmice's death scene, one of the greatest in TV history, and one of the best lines in the show, "cunnilingus and psychiatry brought us to this!"). To discuss this week's episode, our guest is Laremy Legel, former critic at Film.com, author of Film Critic, long time friend of the pod and Matt and Vince's co-star in Whoop Dreams, a documentary about the Gathering Of The Juggalos. He joins your regular hosts, Matt Lieb from Good Mythical Morning, The Star Wars Show, and Newsbroke on AJ+ and Vince Mancini, Senior Film And Culture writer at Uproxx. With Bret and Matt Lieb joining Vince in the Frotquarters, we open this week with a lengthy, or possibly girthy, discussion of Lebron James’ penis. Laremy joins via Skype to discuss Pixar’s latest, Inside Out, which we both saw. We open this week discussing Matt Lieb’s new haircut, which makes him a dead ringer for Lena Dunham’s boyfriend, Fun guitarist Jack Antonoff. This naturally leads to ‘Girls’ infamous butt-eating (analingus) scene, which seems to have been written just for Matt. Who famously eats so much butt he has a bib with a picture of … Continue reading 235: Laremy, Matt Lieb’s New Haircut →

Become a Patron at Patreon.com/Frotcast to hear the full episode!Matt is still out on sa-brat-ical taking care of his newborn, but never fear, Joe Sinclitico and Laremy Legal are here, and we've got all kinds of #content. Joe has just discovered the concept of the mucus plug, so we all have a pretty good time with that one. After that, we get into the latest Olivia Wilde revelations, like giving away her dog and the fact that she apparently has a special salad dressing. From there we get into the celebrity nannying industry and how lucrative it apparently is (very!). That leads us into Danny Masterson's trial, which made us realize that there are still some things about Scientology we didn't know. Who knew! From there, Joe regales us with his review of 'Thirteen Lives' about the Thai cave boys, and Laremy has seen The Redeem Team which makes me rant about Kobe Bryant again. Oh, and of course we couldn't leave without discuss James Corden, his restaurant ban, all-yolk omelets, and his poor attempts at damage control. Enjoy!
