Well you probably have heard the news by now, PAX Australia won't be going ahead in October this year, joining PAX West which has also been cancelled for 2020. In its place is PAX Online, a new digital festival that runs over 9 days between September 12 and 21, streaming content 24 hours a day. Luke Lancaster of ReedPop Australia shared what it was like when he realised that physical conventions just wouldn't work in 2020 due to COVID-19. Coach Luke Lancaster arrived to Abilene Christian University in January of 2018 and was promoted to Director of Strength and Conditioning in August 2019. Coach Lancaster oversees all aspects of strength and conditioning at ACU including the design of the newly renovated Powell Fitness Center. He serves as the Head strength and conditioning coach for ACU Football and Women's Soccer. Prior to ACU, Lancaster was a staff assistant for the Miami Dolphins where he assisted with all aspects of strength and conditioning. He also assisted with the Dolphins' sports science and nutrition staff on a daily basis. Lancaster was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Harvard, which boasts the largest athletics department in the country. He worked with all 42 varsity sports and was the assistant strength coach for football. Lancaster also served as the head strength and conditioning coach for 10 varsity sports. While at Missouri, Lancaster worked as a sports performance intern and assisted with the 2013 Missouri Tiger football team that reached the SEC Championship. Lancaster obtained his bachelor’s degree from Northwest Missouri State University in 2013 where he played football and worked as a strength and conditioning intern. During his time there, Lancaster played under current ACU football coach Adam Dorrel and was part of the 2009 NCAA Division II national championship team. Lancaster holds a SCCC, CSCS, USAW-1, and CPR/First Aid/AED certification. He is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association. He earned a Master's of Science Degree in Kinesiology from Hardin-Simmons University in August of 2019.
