The work has culminated in the AI Enterprise Blueprint; a roadmap for IBM’s clients on their own journeys to AI. In 2017, he was named U.S. Chief Data Officer of the Year by the CDO Club, and has been featured as an industry expert by Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, US News & World Report, CNN, and FOX. Inderpal earned his Master of Science Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and holds a PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Learn more about Inderpal’s insights on harnessing the power of data and accelerating Artificial Intelligence (AI) implementation at IBM’s Journey to AI and Think blogs. In today’s podcast, we talk with Inderpal about data as a strategic asset, the challenge in ensuring new technologies are intuitive to engender user trust, and how Soldiers can be empowered to transform the Army into a data-centric culture. The following bullet points highlight key insights from our interview: Describing “data” as a field of study is like the “blind men describing an elephant,” each one will have a different, limited aspect of it, and thus, a different description. Data is now being recognized as more than just a record, as it can illuminate patterns and insights that can re-shape or invent new businesses and products. It is a strategic asset that is being referred to as the new oil, because it is “the fuel that drives the engine.” Scaling is the goal of any chief data officer of a large company with a global footprint. The first key step is to understand what the company is trying to do, or for a commercial company, how they are trying to make money, and using the data strategy to enable that goal. For a large enterprise like the Army, the question will be how data can enable the Army to accomplish its various mission sets of deploying, fighting, and winning our Nation’s wars. Culture change can occur in three ways: Top-down as a strategy, laterally, and bottom-up/ grassroots. Bottom-up makes up the most significant portion of successful culture change in a system. Organizations need to make sure the users are prepared, and the technology interfaces are adapted to the change being sought.

Stephen Heuer joins us from Synergistic Nutrition to talk about how to prevent cancer and how oxygen plays a dynamic role in preventing cancer. Stephen is a nutritionist and has been practicing nutrition since 1990 and helping people regain their health. We talked about how seed oils help to open the cellular membrane of the cells to deliver oxygen so the cell becomes aerobic instead of anaerobic. When a cell becomes anaerobic its energy doesn't come from oxygen. This is the case with fungus, cancer tumor cells, yeast and mold. These things don't need oxygen to survive or grow. When you can get oxygen to the center of the cell, then the cell metabolizes oxygen properly and the body is healthy. When the cell start using sugar as fuel instead of oxygen, the disease process has begun. None of us want to be in that boat. So today we talked about seed oils and how most oils on the market today are pressed using hexane extraction processes that expose the delicate oils to high pressure and very high heat. This heat and pressure destroys the carbon chain bonds and molecular structures of the medicine. Not only that but secondary metabolites and compound alkaloids also get denatured, pulled apart and destroyed in the process. We need these enzymes to work in their original raw state. When the oils are not rancid they can help deliver oxygen to the mitochondria of the cells, improve ATP energy production and much more. Many people prefer LinkedIn to other social media platforms. Lisa Wade, a legal nurse consultant, has found a unique way to make LinkedIn work for her. When the pandemic dried up her LNC business, she got active in relevant groups on LinkedIn and enjoyed her involvement but found it not conducive to developing relationships. Switching gears, she formed her own group, the Attorney Medical Record Resource Group. Beginning by answering medical questions, she moved on to programming, interviewing members of the group on a weekly basis. Lisa provides a detailed outline of how all this developed and specific details of how she interviews, records, and continues to search for new attorneys to join the group. After missing out on two opportunities to refer expert witnesses, she formed Expert Witness Entrepreneurs. Here, among other activities, expert witnesses provide referrals for each other and network. Lisa varies the format for both groups because it adds interest and sometimes technical crises cause her to find a creative way to overcome them. If you are already using LinkedIn, you'll be fascinated by Lisa's approach. If you don't yet participate, you'll be inspired to do so. Her son is a pretty famous star from his days in the NBA but Lucille O'Neal wants others to know her as more than just Shaq's mom…but a woman who loves Jesus and loves others. Her story will inspire you to trust God when times are difficult. Her journey is one that will encourage you to Power Up for Christ.     Guest Bio: The Scripture Proverbs 3:5-6 says: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” This has been a personal creed for Lucille throughout her life that she faithfully passes on to those she encounters, her friends and her family. As an active mother of four adult children and a grandmother of fifteen, she takes her role of parenting and grand-parenting very seriously. Her past and present involvement in numerous youth-oriented and community projects has proved that she is sincere and passionate about helping others who are less fortunate. While being a caring and serene person, her commitment and devotion to volunteer projects is reflected in her connections with many organizations such as: the Southeast Director of The Odessa Chambliss Quality of Life Fund, the Odessa Chambliss Center for Health Equity and nursing scholarships; Pastor associated with New Life Evangelistic Center of Orlando, The Orlando Chapter of the United Negro College Fund, and the former President of Mothers of Professional Basketball Players Association Inc., just to name a handful. After 30 years of raising two sons and two daughters, Lucille resumed her studies in an Adult Education Program at Bethune-Cookman University, where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in June 2003. In March 2005, she completed her graduate program, Master of Arts in Organizational Management, at the University of Phoenix. Lucille later went on to be honored with the degree of Doctor of Humane Letters in May 2016 from Bethune-Cookman University. Lucille shares her life story candidly—and often humorously in her book, “Walk Like You Have Somewhere to Go,” as well as in her keynotes.
