Pastor Ray Bentley explains how Jesus was treated 2000 years ago and will be treated as the Last Days plan unfolds. What did Jesus receive when he came? He received beatings. He received a beard pulled from his cheeks. He received a crown of thorns on his head. And he was the creator of all things. Now he will receive power, which he is.
Pastor Ray Bentley reveals a portion of Revelation where John, the earthly author, was tearful. John's tears represent the tears of all God's people throughout all the centuries. No wonder John wept so fervently. If no Redeemer could be found to remove the curse, it meant that God's creation was forever consigned to remain in the hands of Satan. But then all of a sudden, everything changed.

Ezra - Altar and sacrifices restored. Temple restoration begun. Enemies hinder the work. The letter to King Artaxerxes. The king replies and work stops. Temple work resumed. Enemies write to Darius. Revelation - The scroll with seven seals. Angels exalt the Lamb.
Today, pastor Ray Bentley looks to revelation for the Lord's plan of redemption. The Book of Revelation has comforted the church that there is a plan. There is an unfolding of the divine will of the father in heaven. And the central theme is the sun. And it's going to a conclusion. And the conclusion is that the very title deed of the earth that was lost and forfeited is to be reclaimed spread.
Reach Out: Please include your email and I will get back to you. Thanks!Revelation 5 John sees a scroll in the right hand of the One seated on the throne, sealed with seven seals. A mighty angel asks who is worthy to open the scroll, but no one in heaven or on earth is found worthy, and John begins to weep. Then one of the elders tells him not to weep, for the Lion of the tribe of Judah has triumphed. John looks and sees a Lamb, standing as though slain. The Lamb comes and takes the scroll, and all of heaven erupts in worship. The living creatures and elders sing a new song, praising the Lamb for redeeming people from every tribe and nation. Countless angels join, declaring the Lamb worthy of power, wisdom, and honor. Heaven rejoices in the victory and worthiness of Jesus. Christ alone is worthy and able to carry out the plans of God. We cannot save ourselves, and no one else in heaven or on earth has the power to redeem. When we feel unworthy or hopeless, we remember the Lamb who was slain and now stands in victory. Jesus gave His life to rescue people from every nation and bring them into the family of God. We belong to Him, and our lives have purpose because of what He has done. Our response must be worship, not just with words, but with obedience, trust, and love. We are called to live in awe of His sacrifice and to honor Him as the One with the power to unlock future blessings. Mighty Father, You hold all things in Your hands, and Your plans are perfect and true. We praise You for sending the Lamb who is worthy to open the scroll and fulfill Your will. Thank You for redeeming people from every tribe and nation through His blood. When we feel lost or unworthy, remind us that Jesus has overcome and made us a kingdom of priests for Your glory. Fill our hearts with worship and gratitude. Help us live in a way that honors His sacrifice. May our lives reflect the worth of the Lamb and bring praise to Your name. Thought Questions: The scroll symbolized future events for Christians. Why would it comfort believers to know that the Lamb could open that scroll? Jesus is pictured as both a Lion and a Lamb. What do each of those images mean to you, and how do they bring you enduring comfort? How do you give the Lamb honor and glory and blessing every day? What can help you make that a more abiding and vivid goal in life?

In this stirring and deeply encouraging Advent message, Pastor Karl continues the series The King Has Come with a raw and life-giving exploration of the second great gift Jesus brings: peace.Turning to the familiar yet profound scene in Luke 2:8–20, Pastor Karl invites us into the midnight terror of ordinary shepherds—suddenly confronted by the blinding glory of God—and shows how the very first words from heaven that night were not “Merry Christmas,” but “Fear not.” That first Christmas did not begin with sentimental calm; it began with paralyzing, mega-fear. And right there, in the middle of stacked-on-stacked fear, the angel announced good news of great joy: a Savior has been born who is Christ the Lord, the Prince of Peace. With pastoral tenderness and unflinching honesty, Pastor Karl unmasks fear as the mortal enemy of peace—how it magnifies threats, shrinks our view of God, and paints our future in colors darker than God ever intended. Yet the gospel is stronger: peace is not the absence of trouble but the presence of a Person. Peace is not something Jesus gives; peace is who Jesus is—and He gives Himself.Through the shepherds' journey from terror to testimony, we're given clear, scriptural paths out of fear and into the unshakable peace of Christ: speaking God's truth over fear's lies, refusing to agree with the spirit of fear, drawing near to Jesus through spiritual disciplines, and taking bold steps of obedience that move us against comfort and toward surrender. This is a word for everyone whose heart has been ruled by anxiety, worst-case scenarios, or the quiet fears that steal joy—especially in this season. A tender yet urgent call to stop trusting the unknown future to our own control and start trusting it to the known God who entered our fear as a baby in a manger.Because the King has come, fear does not get the final word. Peace does. And when the Prince of Peace takes over a life, what spills out is no longer fear—but praise, testimony, and unshakable confidence in the goodness of God.Essential listening for anyone who longs to trade fear for the peace that passes all understanding this Christmas.Watch all our sermons on our youtube channel "Flipside Christian Church"Join us in person 9:00am & 10:30am every Sunday morning.37193 Ave 12 #3h, Madera, CA 93636For more visit us at flipside.churchFor more podcasts visit flipsidepodcasts.transistor.fm
Christmas is not just about a baby in a manger, it is the opening move in God's ultimate endgame. In Revelation 5 we see Jesus as both the Lion of Judah and the slain Lamb who alone is worthy to take the scroll, carry out God's final plan, judge evil, and redeem His people. This message calls us to see Christmas through the lens of heaven's worship scene and to respond with deeper repentance, faith, and wholehearted praise. 2025-11-23 - WEEP NOT, BEHOLD CHRIST! ⧸⧸ REVELATION 5 [Ej4TRR8p6C4] by Salvador Flores III
“And when he took the scroll, the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.” (Revelation 5:8 NLT) God is omniscient, which means He knows all things. Nothing can surprise Him. There is no unexpected occurrence with Him. That’s important to keep in mind, especially when we pray. In fact, a great way to begin any prayer is to give praise and thanks to God for His omniscience. Celebrating the fact that He knows everything puts us in the proper frame of mind to bring our requests to Him. Otherwise, we may start to doubt when our prayer requests seem to go unanswered. The reality is that God answers every prayer—in His way, for His glory, in His time. Revelation 5:8 gives us an interesting detail about Heaven: “And when he took the scroll, the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God’s people” (NLT). When we’re in Heaven, standing before God’s throne, and those golden bowls, full of prayers, are brought before us, we’ll realize that God heard every little prayer that we prayed. And I think we also will understand that His answer to each one was far better than what we asked for in the moment. We will realize that God overruled something we asked for because it wasn’t the best prayer. What we don’t realize today is that this hardship, or this tragedy, or this inexplicable event will ultimately lead to a chain reaction of events that touches the lives of so many others and changes the course of the future in ways we could never imagine. It is a butterfly effect that leads to glorify God’s plan for us. When we pray, we can see only one part of that chain reaction—the one that immediately affects us. We need to trust God to accomplish the bigger picture. We need to accept that the thing we want to go away, or the circumstance that looms so large in our life, is there to give God glory. We may not be able to see how, so we must trust the Lord, knowing that it all will be revealed in Heaven when we stand before Him. Some prayers are answered right away. And we can be thankful for that. On the other hand, some prayers are answered long after they’re prayed. And we can thank God for that, too. Because He knows everything. He sees every possible contingency. He sees every possible outcome. He knows precisely when to act in order to bring about ultimate good. His timing is always perfect. So, instead of praying for God to work according to our imperfect understanding of things, according to our imperfect timetable, we can leave our requests with Him and trust Him to answer them in His perfect knowledge and in His perfect time. Scripture Reading: Revelation 5:1-14 One thing that is revealed to us in Revelation 4,5 is this … at the center of the universe, the Almighty is seated on His throne, ruling over everything He has made. The world we live in is filled with horrors of every kind. And yet, God is governing everything that happens in the world, so that a sparrow does not fall to the ground without the hand of a sovereign God. Revelation 5 is an exaltation of God the Son, as He takes from His Father's hand a seven-sealed scroll. No one, in heaven and on earth, is able to break the seals and open the scroll. But the inhabitants of heaven sing, "Worthy are you to take the scroll and open its seals" (Rev 5:9). Interpretations regarding the contents of the scroll differ. In light of the content that is revealed in the book of Revelation, as the seals are opened, it is reasonable to conclude that the scroll represents the consummation of all of human history … including the judgment of the nations of the earth, the glorification of the people of God, the earthly reign of Christ, and the eternal state of all things. The proper response to God the Son, shown in all His glory, is praise, gratitude, and reverence. The inhabitants of heaven fell down, trembling, before the Lion of Judah, who is also the Lamb who was slain … joyfully singing His tribute … "To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever." Can we do anything less, all the days of our lives?
Sunday Pastor Rick Barnett 10/5/2025
Sunday Service: Revelation 5 presents a powerful prophetic scene where worship shifts from God the Father to Jesus, revealing His divine authority and identity as both Lamb and Lion. Jesus alone is worthy to open the scroll, initiating the final judgment, because His sacrificial death redeemed humanity across all nations. The imagery of seven horns and seven eyes symbolizes His complete power and the fullness of the Holy Spirit. True prayers, like incense, rise to God from pure hearts, while rote or insincere prayers do not. A new song celebrates this pivotal moment, affirming that believers will reign with Christ during His future Millennial Kingdom. Countless angels join in worship, confirming Jesus' worthiness, and declare “Amen” — a divine affirmation that also reflects Jesus' role as the ultimate fulfillment of God's promises.
