"The one where Paige watched the wrong movie"This week's hottest movie is... Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers. This movie has everything: creepy old houses, chase scenes in an attic, telepathy, and a scene where Dr. Loomis literally uses a child as bait to trap Michael. There's also a mysterious ‘Man in Black' who keeps lurking around, setting up more sequels than anyone asked for. Michael Myers returns Haddonfield on a mission to kill his mute niece.Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers takes place one year after Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers and brings Michael back to Haddonfield to take out his mute niece. In typical Halloween style, Michael drives cars, swims, and teleports his way to crazy kills. As always, it's always a pleasure to see Dr. Loomis continue to command the entire town of Haddonfield against Michael. Watch the movie and catch our review. Happy Halloween! We're celebrating by discussing the beginning of the downward spiral of the Halloween franchise, The Revenge of Michael Myers! What exactly is Michael Myers seeking revenge for? Isn't he the aggressor? Why are Jamie and Rachel pushed aside for Tina? Why did they decide to make this the "gothic" Halloween? Is unhinged Loomis the best Loomis? And why is Michael's mask so oversized? We discuss all that and more!
Well the day has come to where we review one of the worst movies we've ever done. Happy Halloween everyone!
We wrap up this year's 13 Days of Halloween with the fifth entry in the series started by John Carpenter and Debra Hill. Ashley, Matt and Grant talk about Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers in today's episode. As always, thank you for listening, and Happy Halloween!
On this edition of Parallax Views, legendary faneditor LastSurvivor joins the show to discuss the horror movie fan edits he's made over the years and the art of the horror edit. Some of LastSurvivor's fanedits include: THE NIGHT OF SAMHAIN - An ambitious fanedit that combines HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH and HALLOWEEN: THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS into one movie in a very unique way! HALLOWEEN: THE NIGHT OF THE BOOGEYMAN - An attempt to edit John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN and HALLOWEEN II into one movie, BUT with around a 90 minute running time common for many movies and slasher films of the 80s. JAW II: THE AMITY HORROR - An edit that attempts to bring out the more slasher-esque elements of JAWS II; the shark is a lot like Jason Voorhees in JAWS II with the setting being the ocean rather than the woods JAWS III: MONSTER - An ambitious edit of JAW III that amps up the B-movie disaster movie element of JAWS III and, amazingly, adds in a new monster to fight Jaws in the finale: Jaws vs. Octopus! FRIDAY THE 13TH PART V: JASON'S LEGACY - An edit of FRIDAY THE 13TH PART V that, through color regrading and trimming of scenes, brings the movie more in line with Joseph Zito's much beloved entry in the cult franchise, FRIDAY THE 13TH PART IV: THE FINAL CHAPTER. HALLOWEEN 5: THE SHAPE OF RAGE and HALLOWEEN HOMECOMING - Two fanfix fanedits that attempt to address the problems of HALLOWEEN 5: THE REVENGE OF MICHAEL MYERS and HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION to make both movies a better viewing experience for fans of the Michael Myers saga! We also discuss the wild JAWS: THE SHARKSPLOITATION edit that faneditor TheManBehindTheMask did (it's literally a grindhouse version of Jaws with an insane twist at the end), David Gordon Green's Halloween trilogy, editing Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN and HALLOWEEN II, the character of Tina in Halloween 5, color regrading and color correction in fanedits, the opening credits of HALLOWEEN 4: THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS, Halloween's Thorn trilogy and similarties with the Druid cult storyline in HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH, the role of pacing in edits, and much, much more!

Opinions were divided when this 80s horror flick sequel hit theaters, but the franchise demonstrated its unyielding commitment to advancing its storyline. While some fans appreciated the added complexity given to the unstoppable masked killer, others longed for the simplicity that made the original movie a timeless classic. As we witness the return of the mystifying Michael Myers, we are reminded of his baffling resilience, having survived his supposed final confrontation in the previous flick. The Halloween season is once again plunged into terror as “The Shape” unleashes his wrath. But this time, a mysterious and supernatural connection emerges between him and his young niece, Jamie Lloyd, adding layers to the horror as familial ties intertwine with the supernatural. So, brace yourself as Tim Williams and guest co-hosts, Charlie Cotter and Laramy Wells, once again return to the haunted Haddonfield, Illinois to discuss “Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers” from (1989) on this episode of the 80s Flick Flashback Podcast. There is no additional behind-the-scenes trivia that we were unable to cover in this episode. Two somewhat lesser sequels to horror classics are the basis of our first episode of the season. Join us in embracing the craziness of Donald Pleasence's performance and the dazzling visuals of Dario Argento (and Mario Bava in his last film???). It's Halloween 5 and Inferno!
The night the Kentucky Gentleman came home! Our friend Jesse returns for our yearly tradition of exploiting the Halloween franchise for content. At this point, the series has received a genre-defining first film, a normal slasher sequel, a strange outlier sequel, a comeback movie, and now, a normal sequel to a comeback movie. That's how it goes with horror franchises, as we discuss exactly what has changed and what each change in the journey of the Halloween franchise means, as well as the many types of Halloween fans all these different entries have created, and the unique story of an unlicensed novelization that cause a stir on social media (you can find a free PDF here). We tie up the messy loose ends, find the fun and funny moments that nearly save the unquestionably middling movie, and as per our usual routine, find some time to review some Radiohead-adjacent material. Our first ever show was about a Halloween movie and this is one of our favorite series to put out into the world. Thank you so much for listening and please have yourself a safe and spooky Halloween.A production of The Twin Geeks | Join our Discord

This one's probably not taking the top spot in anyone's ranking of the Halloween movies, but The Revenge of Michael Myers has a pretty interesting behind-the-scenes story brimming with fascinating what-ifs, missed opportunities, and cautionary tales. Topics include: how earlier drafts tackled Part 4's cliffhanger ending, Rachel's early exit and her controversial replacement, mixed feelings about the inclusion of more overtly supernatural elements, the underdeveloped subplot about Jamie and Michael's connection, the awkward addition of The Man in Black, your answers to Ultimate Match Up, Kristen's predictions for Halloween 6, and more! Sean is aided by Wyatt from Cinema Trip Reviews to wade through this underwhelming entry in the Halloween franchise. My Guest: Cinema Trip Reviews • A podcast on Spotify for Podcasters Discussion Points: -The DVD description of this film. -Jamie and her "new friends". -The pacing and music of the film. -Wyatt and Sean suggest unique solutions to Michael's flappy mask. -Michael Myers's swimming ability. -The level of Doctor Loomis's desperation. -The lack of staff in the Halloween series. -Tweedledum and Tweedledee. -The Myers' mansion extension. -Scratching a car is a step too far for The Boogeyman. -Michael Myers's cleaning schedule. -The remarkable turnover of staff at the Haddonfield Sheriff's Department. -The inconsistent gore levels in the Halloween series. Raised Questions: -Does Sean do these Halloween reviews just to do impressions of Loomis? -What is "a well-meaning derelict"? -What is the point in the man in black? -Do you want to tuck the mask in? -Why was no-one on set bothered by the untucked mask? -Does the 'cult' aspect of the latter Halloween sequels sit well with Wyatt? -Where did Billy go? -How did Michael carry a coffin through town? -Would you have found Michael Myers being abducted as funny as Sean? Welcome to another pulse-pounding episode of "Bad Days in Haddonfield." This week the Binge Buddies, comprised of Bryan Dressel, Matt "Zombie Dog Giggles" Dykes, Joel "Captain Obvious" DeWitte, and Ryan "Comedy Central" Lootens come together to talk about "Halloween Ends," which at the very least is better than "Kills." That said, it's a little of a different movie than one might expect given the advertising. Start "listening" to "see" for yourself. Oh wait.
This week on Bad Days in Haddonfield, Bryan Dressel, Matt "Zombie Dog Baby Face" Dykes, Joel "Tater Tot" DeWitte, and Ryan "Tootsie Pop" Lootens sit down and absolutely murder the second film in the modern Halloween trilogy: Halloween Kills. Is there something that prevents the second films in this franchise from being any good? Is there some unwritten law that says the second films have to be set in a hospital? Who knows! Either way, there be fun discussion ahead.
We're back with a new and exciting episode of Bad Days in Haddonfield. Week 1 of All Horror October!! We Triple T the f#ck out of our 3rd film in the Halloween franchise It's Your 259th Pint!!!
We are continuing our spooky season journey this week through the landmark Michael Myers franchise we call Halloween @ Halloween where we assess every adventure in the Halloween franchise. Our next stop is HALLOWEEN 4: THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS and HALLOWEEN 5: THE REVENGE OF MICHAEL MYERS. These two films made an intentional effort to course correct after Halloween III: Season of the Witch left audiences wanting more Michael, delivering a vision of Haddonfield that attempted to be more in the spirit of the original. Their success at doing so is negligible at best, but they do manage to anchor a mythos around the mysterious boogeyman that stays rooted in the legacy of his hometown, his family, and his ever-increasingly more eccentric doctor, Dr. Sam Loomis. We survey the hall of fame kills, propose a new line of potential Michael Myers toys, and try to wrestle down what these films were trying to accomplish with frequent guest Blake Collier and an excessive amount of laughter, including a Patron-only segment surveying The Simpsons TREEHOUSE OF HORROR 2. We hope you have as much fun hearing this episode as we had making it.7:18 - Business TimePatron Only Segment: THE SIMPSONS: Treehouse of Horror 2 #tvguideposts12:09 - HALLOWEEN 4 & HALLOWEEN 5: THE RETURN & REVENGE OF MICHAEL MYERSSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
