So many catchers in this snack size episode. We've got pinky injuries, rolled ankles, welcome back dingers with glasses, and only dingers against Toronto. The Orioles help build an outdoor classroom at Harlem Park Elementary with a donated playoff share, and players fill its library with their own favorite books. Pottymouth is well aware that she should roster her NYY bf but you can't take the Boston out of the fantasy team manager. What happened to Mike Trout is NOT what happened to Mookie Betts, it's not against the rules, but please stop doing it anyway. Duran is missing a huge opportunity to atone for past mistakes and change lives, but nope. Please read this piece by Kevin Blackstone in the Washington Post about the team of Jackie Robinson visiting the Trump White House. We would have just ranted, but he just lays it all out there, calm, cool, and cutting. Pottymouth walks us through all the connections between the tragic roof collapse of the Dominican nightclub and so many MLB players. In the latest episode of “What The Frock,” listeners were treated to the unique banter and insightful discussions that have become the hallmark of this engaging podcast. Hosted by the dynamic duo of Rabbi Dave and Friar Rod, this episode once again proved why this podcast has captured the hearts and minds of its audience. The episode kicks off with Rabbi Dave's playful teasing of Friar Rod's choice of headwear, setting the tone for an episode filled with humor, candid observations, and a touch of irreverence. The duo briefly delved into their shared interest in the Sacramento River Cats baseball team, hinting at the personal quirks and interests that enrich their on-air chemistry. Rabbi Dave and Friar Rod then embarked on a historical journey, recounting the intriguing tale of Christopher Columbus in Jamaica during 1501. They used this story to explore themes of power, persuasion, and the unexpected impact of natural phenomena, such as eclipses, on human history. This narrative not only showcased the hosts' knack for storytelling but also illuminated lesser-known facets of history, engaging listeners with a blend of education and entertainment. The conversation took a contemporary turn with discussions on current events, including state responses to upcoming eclipses and potential overreactions fueled by conspiracy theories. This segment highlighted the podcast's ability to pivot from historical anecdotes to modern-day absurdities, weaving together a tapestry of topics that keeps the listener hooked. Throughout the episode, Rabbi Dave and Friar Rod maintained a delicate balance between humor and seriousness, effortlessly transitioning from lighthearted banter to thoughtful commentary on social issues and historical events. A federal judge has ruled that the U-S government is responsible for the safety and welfare of young people who've gathered in encampments on the California side of the US-Mexico border. Uprooted from Oakland, the Athletics are headed to Sacramento starting next season. The team will share a 10,000 seat minor-league ballpark with its primary tenant, the Sacramento River Cats, for at least three seasons, while their permanent stadium in Las Vegas is under construction. In Kern County, wildflower season is in full swing. Permitted volunteers are spreading out across the Indian Wells Valley to pick as many flower species as possible. Those will be displayed all in one room for the nearby Maturango Museum's annual wildflower exhibit.

Locked On Giants – Daily Podcast On The San Francisco Giants
David Villar was the best hitter in his league in 2021 and 2022. He mashed 27 home runs in just 84 games for the Sacramento River Cats this season. Villar's first cameo with the San Francisco Giants, in July, didn't go particularly well. But Villar burst out in a big way during the weekend against the Dodgers.Villar hit three home runs in the series, including two in the finale and one against Clayton Kershaw. He's an important player to watch for the SF Giants over the last month of the season, as he could be a part of their future. With the Giants all but out of playoff contention, the rest of this season should be about auditioning future pieces, and Villar is first on that list. Lewis Brinson is another guy to watch, and he too had a huge series in Los Angeles.Several bullpen arms for the Giants are also new and worth watching over the final four weeks. Luis Ortiz was added to the Giants' roster on Wednesday. Shelby Miller is in Milwaukee and may be added. Alex Young and Scott Alexander have been in the 'pen for a while now and could be future pieces. The Giants' season is now about watching how all of these new players perform, as they are auditioning for roles on next year's SF Giants team.Find and follow Locked On Giants on your favorite podcast platforms:
