*Not* a reference to Tommy Pham, but he does appear in Police Blotter for possibly a record-setting time. Our fantasy team infields continue to make news with Pottymouth contemplating Rice from Wong and Patti finally covering 3B. Christian Walker heats up, Eugenio Suarez makes some noise, Wyatt Langford is back with a bang, and Pete CA can't stop taking it to the Dodgers. Again we make with the City Connect opinions including agreeing with Sweetart references and feeling groovy. We crosstrain with the first ever Final Four Inclusion Clinic and encourage you to give a listen to the Queer Women in Sports panel. We say, “Jameson is on my team and I will celebrate appropriately,” “hand gesture below the waist,” and “Georgia O'Keefe Oyster Catcher thing.” Fight the man, send your game balls to Meredith, get boosted, and find us on Bluesky @ncibpodcast, on Facebook @nocryinginbball, Instagram @nocryinginbball and on the Interweb at nocryinginbball.com. For more than a decade, Reine Bayoc has been serving up love and magic at her Shaw bakery. SweetArt started as a crazy dream, a dream that has seen serious success. People line up to the door to try what she describes as vegan soul food. That’s right. Vegan mac n’ cheese, vegan nachos and a veggie burger that Reine unabashedly calls the best ever. But her baked goods have always been her passion, cookies, cupcakes and pies fill the glass display case. Owner and chef Reine joined us on he Meet St. Louis podcast to talk about her favorite desserts, the challenges of being a mom and chef and a tease at her next restaurant.
Joining us today is Reine Bayoc, Creator and Owner of the thriving SweetArt Bake Shop in St. Louis. SweetArt Bakeshop is a from-scratch bakery specializing in traditional, vegan, and gluten-free American baked goods. The cafe also serves a plant-based breakfast and lunch menu that has a loyal following of meat eaters. Along with operating the bakeshop, Reine is the founder and creator of the Love and Magic Kitchen, a blog where she shares recipes, stories, and inspires all the culinary-timid to trust their intuitive internal cooks. In our conversation with Reine: Where did her passion for cooking originate? What have her travels contributed to Reine's “food-venture”? Her philosophy as well as strategy? What is "Intuitive cooking"? Who were Reine's entrepreneurial influencers. How she finds balance. Reine emphasizes self-care. She shares her methods and recommendations. Reine's encouragement to women who have a passion for something that may be intimidating to pursue. Some of the entrepreneurial lessons Reine wants to pass along. What is Love & Magic? Reine is working on her next venture: and it is a big deal..."Love & Magic", a dessert and wine lounge. What are the plans for SweetArt?
