It's strange to think that Jason Todd has been back from the dead longer than he was actually dead now. For those of us who read Batman comics in the 90s, the death of Jason was possibly the most important moment in Batman's life after the death of his parents. But he is back, and is now a member on good standing of the Bat family. That was not always the case either. John Wickham joins the podcast to talk about the stories that bridge the gap between "Under the Red Hood" and Grant Morrison's "Revenge of the Red Hood" They are... certainly something, including himbo Dick Grayson, the Brickhouse and not as much battling for the cowl as a story name might imply. (I recorded this over a week ago so events are past but still prevalent). These are videos where I show my life and surroundings living with Multiple Sclerosis and talk about some MS related information or whatever I decide to talk about. I may talk about what is going on with me or look at stuff I get sent from people and companies and give my opinion about their thoughts and suggestions. C.O.W.L. was your firs creator-owned at Image, but since that launched you've got the Massive-verse roaring, how have you changed working on projects since C.O.W.L. was first launched? Its been 9 years since you've explored the world of COWL with Alec Siegel and Rod Reis, why was now the right time to launch COWL 1964?I feel like COWL is a compelling look at the politics of superheroes, under the guise of the 60s, have the current politics of today influenced this upcoming series?Back when COWL vol. 1 came out Entertainment Weekly said it was “"Mad Men meets Heroes in '60s Chicago." With those references dated and COWL 1964 a different project, how might you describe the upcoming series using TV references? For a reader who may think the 60s isn't their bag, how might you pitch COWL 1964 to them? You've collaborated with a lot of great writers and artists, including Mat Groom, Joe Clark and now Bear McCreary & Kid Cudi. Any tips for working with a co-writer?I know you love to play around with different media formats for the Massiveverse, and that's continuing with the audiobook version of Radiant Black. What made an audiobook the best format?
The Batman Returns? We knew Pattinson was coming back for the new Penguin show for MAX but we thought as Bruce Wayne. A new report says that the Caped Crusader will indeed return in the series. In what capacity? We discuss. The Russos made some of the most successful Marvel movies ever. A new report says they were interested in returning for an Avengers film and were told no by the MCU. If true, wrong or right decision? Fantastic Four reports, new time period ? The MCU will return to San Diego Comic Con. This and more on todays Big Thing Capes and Cowl with Kristian, Winston and Coy. Enjoy!

Host Tom A. Dutta asked Michael Cowl Gordon to write why he should be on The Quiet Warrior Show. Micha poured onto his paper a page and a half of writing, and the latter was this: "I believe that my story illustrates the heroic journey. Joseph Campbell wrote that the purpose of the heroic journey is to redeem the world. While that would be overstating my accomplishments, I believe it is true that I have helped thousands of patients through my direct involvement in their care. I have helped hundreds of people through mutual involvement in twelve-step recovery. And with this book, I can help thousands more. I believe my story will interest your listeners. I hope many will be encouraged to see how their lives can represent a heroic journey as they respond to whatever challenges they encounter." I may have written too much, as my instructions were to write a paragraph. If so, I apologize. I hope to be a guest on your podcast, where I can tell the story of recovery as a heroic journey. Thank you. Michael Cowl Gordon, MD Join Tom and Michael as he tells the rest of the story and takes your questions or comments via live chat. Our hosts return to the podcave and sit down to review the episode THE CAPE AND COWL CONSPIRACY. Alex and Will are somewhat divided on their opinions of this episode. One host enjoys it for the simple fact that Batman is trolling a villain the whole time and having fun, whilst the other host wishes it was just a Riddler episode. Our hosts also theorise that Josiah Wormwood is the reason that Gotham seems to have so many closed theme park attractions, as well as wondering if Gordon creating the bat signal was just to get Batman out of his office? Plus, our hosts cast Wormwood in their fancasted universe, as well as sing the recognisable theme music from SAW and accidentally advertise for Coca-Cola. In a world grappling with addiction, every pathway to recovery is sacred. As we navigate the tumultuous terrain of our own recovery, we find solace and strength in shared stories. Such as this journey of transformation and discovery by Dr. Michael Gordon, author of "The 12-Step Pathway: A Heroic Journey of Recovery." With insights gained from personal experience and expertise, Michael explores the power of the 12-step program and its symbiotic relationship with the concept of the hero's journey. In this episode, Duane and Michael also take a deep dive into Joseph Campbell's philosophy, unraveling the profound significance of the hero's journey in the realm of addiction recovery. Highlighting the call to adventure and the subsequent refusal of the call, they provide a comprehensive breakdown of the hero's journey, as well as discuss the courage it takes to face one's dark side and make amends, illustrating the potent parallels between the 12-step recovery process and the hero's journey. As they navigate through the intricate stages of the hero's journey and link them to the recovery process, you'll gain a deep understanding of the emotional evolution that accompanies addiction. While the journey to recovery may be arduous, it's a journey within reach for anyone. Tune in and bear witness to the universal struggle for recovery, and the hero within us all – just waiting to emerge. I was recently waiting for my car to get it's oil changed when a kind.79 year old woman asked about my knitting and we ended up chatting for an hour. We talked about restoration of old Victorian in my home town where she owns a condo now.
