This week, we dove into the aftermath of the NBA Draft and what the Philadelphia 76ers' front office did with their picks. How will their two draft picks affect the future of the team? Austin Krell from OnPattison.com joined us for some great analysis and a discussion about the future of the Sixers' draft picks and how this offseason may look. It was a fantastic discussion! But first, the guys dove into some Listener Feedback about former Philadelphia Phillie Eddie Waitkus who was murdered decades ago by a stalker, and also ourPhilly sports history story from a few weeks ago about Russian hockey. (Approx. 4:55)From there, they discussed what the Phillies may do before the trade deadline that is approaching, and if Max Kepler should be optioned to AAA Lehigh Valley to allow talent such as Justin Crawford an opportunity to prove himself. (Approx. 9:50)The guys also talked about the one national sports personality that they have a love/hate relationship with. (Approx. 22:35)Philadelphia is finally getting a WNBA team, which the guys discussed as well. (Approx. 32:40)How did the Sixers handle this year's 2025 NBA Draft as they have new talent in V.J. Edgecombe and Johni Broome? (Approx. 54:55)What the guys threw down on the Table this week was a great, in-depth discussion with Austin Krell from On Pattison as they dissected the Sixers Draft. What will the new talent bring to the team in the future? The fan base appears disappointed that they're “running it back with old talent.” Losing Guerschon Yabusele to the New York Knicks. How will Eric Gordon's re-signing impact the team this year? All of this and much more this week on the Table! Over the weekend, Max Kepler voiced his frustration to the media about not being an everyday player, saying that being platooned in left field is impacting his performance. He claimed he was promised the starting left field job. James Seltzer says he's done with Kepler and doesn't care if he remains on the Phillies. Rhea Hughes, meanwhile, puts the blame on Dave Dombrowski for failing to address the outfield situation.
Joe DeCamara of the 94 WIP Morning Show believes that if the Phillies earn a first-round bye in the postseason, they must find a way to play a game during the break to stay in rhythm. He compares the importance of staying sharp to Max Kepler's recent complaints about how being platooned in left field has disrupted his own rhythm.
The 94 WIP Morning team discusses Max Kepler's weekend comments expressing frustration about not playing every day for the Phillies. Kepler says it's affecting his game and that he was promised the starting left fielder role. James Seltzer is fed up with his attitude, while Rhea Hughes blames Dave Dombrowski for not building a strong outfield. Looking ahead, Joe DeCamara believes teams that earn a playoff bye need to stay active during the break to maintain their rhythm.
The 94 WIP Morning Show talked about the Phillies' rollercoaster season so far- the Phillies took 2 of 3 from the Braves this weekend after a terrible Houston series. Ranger Suarez has been phenomenal- Joe DeCamara and the Morning Show think the Phillies need to find any way to keep him. Could Jesus Luzardo or Andrew Painter be trade assets to help the Phillies strengthen the outfield and bullpen? Max Kepler complained over the weekend that he was promised to be the starting left fielder, however has been platooned most of the season. There is a possibility that LeBron is traded from the Lakers- would you want him here? Would you trade Joel Embiid for LeBron? Joe DeCamara also beat Jack Fritz in golf. Time's Yours callers celebrated Joe's golf win.

Ike, Spike and Fritz open the show by discussing Rob Thomson allowing Johan Rojas to hit with the game on the line last night rather than going to Brandon Marsh, Max Kepler or Bryson Stott on the bench.
This past week should have reminded everybody that baseball is a long season. The Phillies followed a gruesome 1-9 stretch – a lot of people thought they were dead -- with a 5-1 homestand against the Cubs and Blue Jays. The offense came to life against two playoff-caliber teams. Brandon Marsh (1.167 OPS), Alec Bohm (1.128 OPS), Otto Kemp (.898 OPS), J.T. Realmuto (.980 OPS), Max Kepler (1.300 OPS), Trea Turner (.820 OPS), Nick Castellanos (.808 OPS) and Kyle Schwarber (.869 OPS) each had big moments against the Cubs and Blue Jays. So did the rotation, led by Zack Wheeler, Ranger Suárez, Cristopher Sánchez and Jesús Luzardo. First Pitch is powered by betPARX Sportsbook and Casino app. It's “Best Week” by Manco & Manco Pizza! (0:00-11:32) Andrew has announced the Phillies' lineup, featuring Kyle Schwarber in left field and Max Kepler in right field, which shifts Nick Castellanos into the designated hitter position for the game. (11:32-20:33) Meanwhile, the Eagles still have several roster vacancies to address before the upcoming season. Andrew believes that the team should prioritize acquiring a wide receiver, a defensive tackle, and a cornerback to strengthen their lineup (20:33-29:55) Daryl Morey has acknowledged that the previous season for the 76ers was a disaster, and Connor is skeptical about the prospects for the next season, fearing a repeat of the same struggles. However, retaining their draft pick could potentially enhance their chances for improvement. (29:55-39:59) In our discussion about the Phillies, we are evaluating the management of the center field platoon and questioning whether the team has approached the situation effectively. The Phillies get the split with Giants, and look ahead to a weekend set with the Marlins. There are high expectations for this club, coming off of three straight postseason appearances including one pennant. Still in the infancy stages of the 2025 season, the usual up and down performance from this group has continued to rear it's ugly head, yet they are presently neck and neck with the Mets for the NL East lead. The Phils are looking for back-to-back Division Flags. But it won't be easy. The questions in the outfield remain relevant and frequent. The revolving door of players seems to be on track to repeat itself again this offseason, regardless of the result. A major question is how the team will deploy some of their hot young prospects into the majors later in the year. The Eagles are 6 days away from the NFL Draft with a lot of capital and options, for a team that is still loaded despite the loss of some solid defenders. Howie Roseman could go quite a few ways in the 1st Round, including moving up to get a true impact player. The defending Super Bowl Champions have an open window to repeat the feat. Realmuto in Monday night's loss to the Giants. Feelings were felt!

The Phillies are 5-1 out the gates and host the World Series Champion Dodgers this weekend for three at The Bank. A great early litmus test for this group, they are 7-3 in their last 10 against LA, including wins in 6 of their last 7 contests. Early on, the lineup is quiet against starting pitchers while raking against relief pitchers. To beat the Dodgers, the Phils will have to change that narrative. There have been contributions from the bottom of the order with Sosa and Rojas, and the new addition, Max Kepler, has began his Phillies career in solid fashion. The marathon of the MLB Season is underway as the VetPhact and Prem's MLB Picks returns, with three Moneyline Locks for this Friday's games. They'll be off today, before Zack Wheeler gets his second start of the year against Kyle Freeland tomorrow.

Kepler's homerun was his first as a Phillie. Edmundo Sosa continues to hit in place of Trea Turner. He's now 6-11 with 3 RBI. Cristopher Sanchez pitched into the 6th inning, striking out 7 Rockies hitters. The Phillies are now 3-1. They're off today before game two tomorrow. It'll be Zack Wheeler vs Kyle Freeland. Today, the NFL owners will vote on the future the Tush Push. The NFL would need 24 owners to vote against the play to ban it.

Tek & Prem welcome Phillies Reporter for The Inquirer, Scott Lauber, on the VetLine to talk Phils. The MLB season is less than one week away, as the Fightins prepare to travel to DC to take on the Nationals for a 3-game series to start the 2025 campaign. The Phils starting pitching is still among the league's best, adding Luzardo to that mix, and the lineup may be shook up a bit as the Phils try again with this core, to win a World Series Trophy for the first time since 2008. Eagles offseason talk continues as the Draft approaches in April. Howie Roseman has a ton of Draft capital and has added some good low risk-high reward 1-year contracts to young defenders with a lot to prove. There will be some good competition in camp for key spots, but the core remains at every level of the defense with an offense still boasting the same stars. The defending Super Bowl Champions are 6 weeks removed from the big game, but the excitement for their trajectory should be just as strong as it was on Feb 10. How much stock should you put into a player's performance in spring training? It depends. A player like Max Kepler, who is new and perhaps looking to impress after making swing changes? Maybe a lot. A player like Trea Turner, who is a perennial All-Star? Not so much. James Seltzer gives the Morning team his first take on the Phillies spring training. James is looking at the young players like Aiden Miller and Andrew Painter. The team like the Max Kepler signing.
As Spring Training begins in Clearwater for the Philadelphia Phillies, right fielder Nick Castellanos likes what the organization has done this offseason. In talking with the media, Castellanos praised the moves to acquire starting pitcher, Jesus Luzardo, outfielder, Max Kepler, and reliever, Jordan Romano. Castellanos said, in part, that the Phillies got better heading into 2025 after falling to the New York Mets in four games in the NLDS in 2024. But did the Phillies actually improve for 2025?
Introduction & Casual Banter 00:00:35 – 00:01:19 Chris and Matt open the episode discussing how it has been a slow week, except for the Eagles' Super Bowl win. Super Bowl LVIII Recap: Eagles' Blowout Victory Over Chiefs 00:01:31 – 03:30 The Eagles dominated the Chiefs, winning 40-22 in a game that was never competitive. At one point, Philadelphia led 34-0, making the game feel surreal. Chris compares it to the 2018 Super Bowl win over the Patriots, which was more dramatic and felt “earned” due to its back-and-forth nature. Matt disagrees, feeling completely satisfied with the Eagles' dominant performance. Chiefs' Struggles & Eagles' Defensive Dominance 03:30 – 05:56 The Chiefs shut down Saquon Barkley, limiting him to 57 rushing yards on 25 carries. Despite his limited impact, Barkley was crucial in getting the Eagles to the Super Bowl. Patrick Mahomes had his worst playoff game ever, struggling against the Eagles' defense. The Eagles' defensive front sacked Mahomes six times, despite never blitzing once.
